There's a recommended forge version for 1.9 now, so unless consumers are waiting for mods like Thaumcraft and Intangible (like me) I see a mass transition to 1.9 happening soon. On a different note, I'm loving the Celestial Compass. Does it give anyone else a sort of Kingdom Hearts vibe? Either way it'll be the floor to the center of my magical base once again!
This mod is amazing! Its all steampunk and clockwork, i love it!
What are the permissions exactly for modpacks/addons, or something like Luckyblocks?
will they be the same when 1.8 is released? 1.8 is going to be released, right? just checking.
I'd bet on 1.9 since modders seem to be transitioning towards that.
Wait, basins retain liquids when broken? I'm referring to rendering in inventory, not in world. In world is fine, and I just confirmed again with Tinkers for 1.8.9 that tanks don't render contained liquid in inventory.
I'm suffering from a bit of feature creep I guess. The things I absolutely need to fix before official release are the guidebook (has some bugs when loading articles) and a few important textures I'm currently lacking (moon flowers). I'd also like to have the timezone controller working as well, but I should be finishing that up in about a week.
So does that mean that things like the clockwork tools and the eras are finished?
So I took a look at the Dev-2 jar you had on Github (couldn't wait), I'm liking where this is going! How many features and fixes are you going to do before we get an official release?
First of all I'd like to point out that asking for mod updates are against the forum rules. Secondly I'd like to mention that you should at least make a small amount of effort yourself to learn about the mods status (such as looking at the last few posts on this very thread here). If you read the last few post here you'd see that Nuchaz has been too busy with school to work on the mod. At least that was the last we're head from him. I hope that Nuchaz's MIA is still due to being too busy, and not something worse.
If you (and anyone else) hasn't checked Nuchaz's Twitter, take a look. He said he'll be ready to start working again very soon.
What is going to be the biggest change between 1.7.10 and 1.8.9 function-wise? My guess is on replacing centavis with aura or the like. I certainly hope these will be flux-free, as I don't want a bigger reason to flux up my base using automation tools. That fear is solely speculation, as I haven't gotten that far, but I've heard horror stories of such things.
Has anyone heard from Nuchaz about Bibliocraft's progress recently? It's been a few months since I've seen him say anything about it.
On the Bibliocraft site's latest article's comments, he said that he was busy with school early February. That's the last I've seen of him. I hope this comes out soon though!
So I just saw that your latest github commit is the first step to 1.8. I'm looking forward to seeing this mod again (I moved on around when Thaumcraft updated). Is there anything new/interesting to show off yet, or are you focusing on fixing the current issues during the port?
How do you get the Tome of Alkahest? Also something awesome you could do is add a JEI page with a small description on what the item does (I vaguely remember what every item except my favorites do) sorta like Extra Utilities. I'm pretty sure it's possible with JEI still.

It's a shame the mod author disappeared. This mod had so much potential, especially for TC5.

I'm pretty sure it is.

Oh that's a shame. Disregard that then.

That's odd, yet I'm sure Tinker's Construct got that to work for both the tanks and the basins.

Has anyone used this mod in 1.8.9? I'd like to use it but I'm not at a computer to test.

What was the thaumcraft integration?
