posted a message on help please..

Can you post a screen shot of your setup? It sounds fine for a basic build but I'd like to be sure. Luckily even if it is setup incorrectly you won't lose much (maybe half a bucket of oil) the only way you'd lose a lot is if you set up the combustion engines incorrectly.

posted a message on Fusion Warfare v1.3.2 - Missiles, Guns, Reactors and Futuristic Tech!

Would it be possible to get the crafting recipes for the advanced and hyper network controller as well as the rocket launcher? I hate to ask but for some reason they don't appear on NEI. I'm running the latest build for 1.7.10 if that makes a difference.

posted a message on Mods like Academycraft

Wow I never new this mod existed, thanks for putting me on to it. To answer point 2 it seems to work in a similar way to Ars Magica 2 just without all the ability customization options of Ars.

posted a message on IS THERE LESS MODS NOW THAN THERE WAS IN 1.7?

I'd have to agree that there seems to be fewer mods for the newer versions and those that exist tend to be smaller than previous ones. I suppose this has to do with changes Mojang made to the code after 1.7.10 which (as I understand it) made modding much more difficult by removing certain graphical features and requiring modded items to have separate files among other changes. Combine that with lower fps due to the new, beefier Minecraft code, the fact the code changes more frequently now (requiring complete mod rewrites), and signs of the games popularity beginning to fade and it's no wonder modders are less active. Mod authors just don't see it worth there time anymore.

posted a message on I need some help with this crash report I got.

Can you post the entire crash report? The error alone only explains what happened in the end and not what caused it.

posted a message on Where's the "Mod file"?

Actually you don't make the mod folder, it's made for you when you install Minecraft Forge which is required for all mods to function. First go to Forge's site and download the installer for the MC version your wanting to mod (having run that version at least once) and run the installer. This will crate the Mods folder in your .minecraft folder and will also create a new profile in the MC launcher named Forge, this is the profile to run to use mods. Finally place any mods your wishing to run (as long as there for the MC version your running) into the folder created by Forge and run the game using the Forge profile.

By mod file do you mean a folder to place your mods into to add them to your game or are you referring to something else?

posted a message on safe modpack

Best thing to do if your new to modpacks is to download the ATLauncher and Twitch Launcher which are self contained modpack launchers, no need for MultiMC or unpacking files, just pick a pack and play. Also as each pack is self contained on the launcher you can have as many installed at once as you could ever want. I suggest starting with the Twitch launcher as you can search for packs by type of mods included and version of Minecraft.

p.s. All packs on both launchers are completely safe and have gone through countless screening for viruses so no risk, download a hundred and see whats a good fit for you.

posted a message on How to install jar mod from planet Minecraft on Mac OS sierra

You'll need to first install Minecraft Forge for the MC version you'r running, insure the mod supports the same version, and then be sure to run the game profile Forge created in your launcher (named Forge).
