Well, it is something I have wondered about since the beginning of Minecraft when I heard about how large the world could become. What is on the edge? Is it an impassible adminium wall, or simply a drop off the edge of the world? I know the world can be more than 8 times the size of the Earth, and I've heard that games can get unstable if the world is too big, but I challenge anyone to find the edge of a world and get a pic of what is there, or look through the code for the game and find out what it is ( for finding the code, for getting to the end by exploration) I've heard nothing about the edge even though it seems to be a big issue to me, and I want to know what is there. If you do it by exploation you may want to do it on an SMP server so you can work together with someone. Maybe form a team whose sole purpose is to go where no one has gone before.
Considering the sizre that Minecraftia can reach I think we have to assume the Flat Earth Societies theories on the way the world works are correct. You may want to google them and find their website to get an idea of what kind of stuff you can do, be careful not to have an anuerism due to the shear stupidity.
Some thing I know they believe is that the Earth is a plate with the sun hanging over it that is constantly accelerating, causing gravity. (They also dispute the existance of inertia so how that works I have no idea) Another theory I read was that the Earth was a plane with a spotlight revolving around above it with the North pole being in the middle and the South Pole being around the outside. Has anyone reached the edge of a minecraft world to tell us what's on the end? It's be cool if Notch implemnted their theories into the programing so when someone reached the end it was a 5 layer deep wall of ice with a layer of adminium to keep people in, if it even has to have a limit.
If he's inside go into sneak mode and place lava all over the top of his house and then mine through it so there are pillars of fire everywhere trapping him and his buddies, then give them a while for any survivors to mine thier way out (or shift the lava falls every so often so you catch everyone on fire) then stop all of the lava and get the stuff out of the chests (chests don't burn) break the chests and dump lava on everything you don't want. He gets back to find all of his ill gotten gains destroyed.
EDIT: Do not give out the coords to your base, only a hill or something near his so no one can find you, and maybe the general direction from spawn for those of us on laptops who can't use the coordinate feature.
There really needs to be some kind of mod support so everything doesn't have to be remade because I REALLY want to play this. Also it needs to make mods easier to install because I don't trust myself to not screw up my computer installing all of those mods.

Oh, for some reason I thought this was a cannon that fired using 1200 TNT's as a propelant for one or two blocks. Maybe Notch should make it so the harder a block of TNT is fired the more it explodes, something like that would be epic in PVP.

One thing I do have to agree about though is we here do bite the newbies alot, which is unfair as they might not have as much experience as us.
