    Quote from ssmithj3»

Would anyone know if there is a way to record output from these blocks?
I want to put an invisible daylight sensor on a player's head, and give the player different perks and abilities at different times of the day. Would anyone know if there is a way to do this?

First off you can't get output from a block on a person's head. If you want to do what you are thinking you will need to set it up as redstone. Basically have a daylight sensor hooked up to activate command blocks to give the players whatever perks you desire.

You might be able to testfor the time of day via a command block (Not sure if this is possible. Never tried it) and then have a conditional chain to give the perks.

My suggestion (Somewhat advanced) if neither of the above options work for you is to create a scoreboard that is synced to the time of day. Then whenever the scoreboard reaches the optimal times of day, test for it and execute a chain of command blocks for the perks.

To sync the scoreboard with the time of day:

Make sure that the time of day is unchanging via /gamerule.
Setup a scoreboard called "time" or whatever you want.
Setup a repeat command which constantly adds 1 to "time"
Make sure that the scoreboard value for "time" is the same as the in-game tome. (0-24000)

Then have command blocks testing the scoreboard for the appropriate times for perks
And lastly, a command block that tests for "time"=240000. If true then set "time"=0 to reset the timer for a new minecraft day.

Then re-enable the gamerule for time progression.

    Hopefully this helps.

    Quote from rabidgoodra27»

Okay. Wow. This is one of the best maps I've played in a long time. Where to start? Let's compare it to the first; The story had far more depth and didn't feel "scripted" like that of the first. I felt like the change in gameplay style was nice, as whether or not you beat the map was not based on how well you can spam-click. (well I played the 1.9 version but I think you know what I mean) The voice acting really set this map apart in my opinion. The only map I have played outside of this one (and I'm guessing Season 3 is voice acted =P) is Templars of Hyrule. I don't think many maps are voice acted PERIOD, so this was a very enjoyable experience. I also can't believe you finished the Leviathan in 3 weeks(?). That is impressive. I have so many other good things to say about this map, but I don't have the time to type it all. The only real bug I encountered was in R3D's dialogue at the end. The text lagged for me and did not appear until the actual soundbytes ended. I noticed a lot of typos, but I won't hold it against you. ;)
    Here it comes...
    Story: 5/5
    Architecture: 5/5
    Gameplay: 4/5
    Redstone:4/5
    Voice Acting (+1)
Total: 19/20 can't wait to play Quarantine and Season 3.

edit: I wrote this review a couple of days ago and have already started season 3.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed! Yeah there's a few bugs that can happen in season 2 that can occur depending on render distance issues. But Quarantine and Season 3 are both setup to avoid those issues so there should be far fewer bugs in them. They both also include voice acting

Finally got a chance to play it through completely, and wow. Just... wow. It was very good. It was very well paced, had good combat, and the architecture was great. There's not a whole lot to talk about story-wise- That's not necessary in this situation. The dialogues were enjoyable (voice acting is always a plus!) and R3D kind of freaked me out (though I guess that's the point).
    Here it comes...
    Story: 3/5
    Gameplay: 5/5
    Redstone 4/5
    Building: 4/5
    Voice Acting (+1)
Total: 17/20 - Pretty much perfect. Looking forward to the next three.

This is supposed to be set in 2049 yet it looks almost exactly the same as Exodus which is set in 2146?

Well this is the capital building. Capital buildings tend to stay mostly the same over time. But don't fear, the vast majority of the map, over 99% takes place in brand new areas.

Also there is the war that begins in this trailer that basically cripples economic and technological growth for some time.

The main storyline in the map takes place in 2064, While the flashbacks take place starting from 2042 to the time frame of the main storyline.

No. There's a few generations difference. Alex Monroe's daughter is named Claire. Hollis is a few generations down the line.

Also a new teaser just came out today! This time a war begins! Enjoy!

This was a great map! I liked how you could pick your gender before you started. The small things matter as well.

I also have suggestions on how to improve this map and/or future maps you make:

    • The part where you get the redstone torches to restore the elevator power frustrated me a lot (especially with the off-tune singing), and I ended up cheating the last one in. I suggest placing more than 8 torches around the map, so you don't have to get all of them – only most of them.
    • In some parts, the guide particle points were too sparse and I had no idea where to go next. Perhaps they could be placed closer to each other or show the direction to the next guide point as well.
    • After the Phoenix spawns, you seem to have forgotten to put the player into adventure mode, leaving them in spectator mode, apparently forever.
    • Being able to die all you want without repercussions isn't exactly immersing. You could end the map prematurely with a bad ending if the player dies a certain number of times against a given boss, but in that case, the player should be given better equipment to compensate for it.

    If you're curious, I got ending 3.

    i. e. I remained loyal until I defected to R3D at the Capitol

Thank you for playing! And I'll keep your suggestions in mind. It sounds like the spectator thing is a bug. Not sure why that would happen. I have a system in place to make sure it doesn't. Again thanks for playing!!

Oh, that's grrreat, to hear that you're finally getting the support and attention you deserved for quite some time but since this going to be working on map that's going to be featured on the minecraft marketplace.... aren't you afraid it might hurt your creative vision due to the fact you might dumb down certain story elements to make sure it's considered "appropriate" by Mojang?

No I'm not worried about that. It does limit some things tho, but the story we are working on now for marketplace is not impacted too much by this and in a way it is refreshing to a have a happier and less grim story to tell. But at the same time I can funnel my vision of a more mature story into maps like Song of the Siren and Wesley. I'll still have my creative vision, but like anything you sometimes have to adapt.

I broke the glass and entered the room, but I don't get teleported at all (I watched only this part in a playthrough so that I know if I'm doing something wrong). The conversation doesn't start, only the music.

It sounds like something didn't activate properly. When you entered the resort did you get an Ivaren Hallucination on top of the truck? If not go back to the balcony to get into the resort.

Or (This is actually most likely) Did you have a cutscene showing the balcony when you first arrived at the island? If not try this command: /setblock 407 128 857 minecraft:redstone_block

Awesome map! I would recommend making the bridge entrance by boat a little more clearer.

I will see what I can do in the next update.

    Hi R3D!

Amazing map so far, but when I got to the President Resort part, I just can't get in the president's room. The door simply doesn't open, I saw some flickering when I got to the room before it, but nothing else happened since then, I've been trying to figure it out for like 15 minutes now. Could you help me please?

Did you come in through the vent system? If so and it didn't open, quickly go into creative and exit the vent again. If that still doesn't work just break the glass door that goes into the president's office (Opposite the vent exit)

Hopefully this helps! Let me know if there are any other issues!

Once I get done moving into my housing for the summer, I will begin working on a fairly major update for the map.

Here is a list of confirmed features that will be implemented:

    More Optimization

    Ending 9
    Books spellchecked
    various bugfixes

Also I am hard at work on 3 different map projects right now. Song of the Siren is my solo map project. Wesley is a map that is being directed by The Redstone Scientist, Jragon014 and myself. And more recently I've been brought on as the Story director for a map in conjunction with Everbloom Studios that will be available on minecraft marketplace in the near future.

Thanks everyone for all of your support.
