posted a message on The Hippocracy of Minecraft Forums
I was around back then as well, and you're leaving out a few details. For one, people didn't dislike you because of a specific suggestion. People disliked you because you insulted and abused anyone who didn't agree with your ideas. As well as insulting anyone else's suggestions, and the people who posted them. That is the reason for the harsh responses, and your suspension. Creating two more accounts to evade would be why you were permanently banned.

Wolfram wasn't the only one to deal with you, and I can safely say he dealt with matters appropriately. So as citric said, what exactly are you posting this for? If you want your account to be unbanned, you can appeal the ban (which considering how old it is, would have been your best option). Posting this misleading thread is not something that helps your case.

posted a message on Grievances from PPNS Forum
As Meta has said, the fact that these topics are "sensitive and controversial" isn't a valid excuse to insult people and get in arguments. You're not warriors on the front lines dealing with a dangerous enemy here. You're in a discussion. What makes PPNS any different than, say, specific subreddits on select subjects? For example, I don't see flaming and rampant arguments in r/askscience (or even r/science, for that matter). Do you know why? A mix of people being mature enough to discuss things, and strict moderation when required.

Something to point out, you mentioned citricsquid "daring to insult our intelligence". However, go re-read his posts. There are no insults to be found. Honest input and criticism is not the same thing as an insult. Just as well, you could have insults thrown at you all day long, that is no excuse to throw insults back. And considering that is specifically against the rules here (which you've been warned for many, many times), you can see why someone can see yourself as not mature enough to take part in these discussions.

    It's always said "quest".

You must have been seeing things.

Be sure to check your browser for any extensions that might have been installed by a third party (things such as toolbar installers will sometimes do this). Also, do a search for junkware removal. There's a good possibility you have some of these that are causing these links to pop up. This will happen on any site you visit, not just here.

That walled island you saw on Promo #2? Me and GeorgeLopez882 built that ;)

And a fine island it is. Kinda found it on accident, and it's a pretty place. I haven't really bothered building anything fancy yet, just gonna hoard materials until the 1.7 world.

posted a message on My stance on segregated servers.
There's a very important distinction everyone needs to keep in mind here. How does that server's "segregation" affect you? None, right? And that's because you aren't required to play on that server. It's one private server out of thousands. Keeping that in mind, this really isn't segregation as everyone is claiming it to be. Look at things like "white only" bathrooms and drinking fountains. Those were in public places, and directly affected the people who were there. Things like same sex couples being denied visiting rights in hospitals, and the ability to marry. Those people are directly affected, and they have no choice in the matter. This server is an optional choice with a restriction put in place by the owner. They have every right to do so. If anything, it's a bit rude to compare people fighting for civil rights to a video game server's choice of who can play there.

As for us "endorsing" the server, well, of course we are going to allow it. I really see no reason why we wouldn't. We're not "endorsing segregation", we're allowing a server to make a thread like any other.

Thanks for pointing that out! I've edited it to be correct.

posted a message on Jailbreaking iPhones -- illegal?
    Quote from autophil
If the core issue here is not a big deal to you, that's your opinion. This is the second time I've gone through almost this exact same process for other people's threads that I really don't care about. It's the core issue that I care about, the fact that going around saying things are illegal to a huge audience promotes that kind of a culture, and when the things you're talking about are personal freedoms, that can create a significant impact. These court decisions ultimately follow common sense and common opinion. If everyone starts thinking it's illegal for you to enjoy this or that personal freedom, eventually it will become a societal norm, and then there will be grounds for making it actually illegal. Downplay it all you want, but I guarantee there are others who feel the same way.

We're not some kind of cultural director here, it's just a forum for a game, with some other discussion on the side. We don't have some kind of weird legal standards we're setting here on touchy subjects; we just try to make sure it's a safe and welcoming community. This wasn't a case of us trying to force our legal opinion into the rules, it was just a misunderstanding. Then, we decided we should discuss with each other to make sure we're on the same page, and that was mostly it.

in the future, if you have an issue like this, feel free to post in the Contact Forum Administration subforum, and we can handle stuff like this much more efficiently.

posted a message on Jailbreaking iPhones -- illegal?
Your posts were removed for being pointless. Just posting "someone is removing my posts" serves no purpose to the topic here.

As for the thread, it was a simple mistake. The mod wasn't sure about how we deal with that kind of stuff, and it was locked. It has since been unlocked with the lock post removed. Simple as that. Mountain out of a molehill and all that.

posted a message on Jailbreaking iPhones -- illegal?
Yeah, just to back up what has been pasted, this is what we've boiled it down to:

Discussion of/asking for methods of jailbreaking/rooting is ok, so long as that's all that is discussed. But if discussion drifts into acquiring Minecraft, or anything else along the lines of getting paid stuff for free, then it will be removed. As Jefe said, if links are provided that also provide methods to get that stuff, it will also be removed. And as spudmonkee said, topics like that do not belong in any form of Minecraft discussion. They should be treated as technical discussion, and not related to Minecraft in any way.

*sound of breaking glass upstairs, followed by a very loud thud, then a few seconds later, a door smashes open*

A nearly lifeless figure tumbles down the stairwell, smashing his head on every third step. As he crumples in a mess on the landing, seven tacos and an empty stein of beer slowly roll and bounce their way down, eventually stopping to bounce off the body and land on the floor behind him. From behind a dark beard, he mutters...

Hey guys! I heard we were being summoned!
