When I heard in 1.3 there was going to be LAN servers, I was overjoyed! When I downloaded the prerelease, I was ecstatic! When 1.3 came out, I got my big brother to make his single player multiplayer, because we bost sit next to eachother, him on the desktop and me on the laptop.
So something to note, when my big brother is out and I am home, I will use his computer(with his premission) and when I do that, I will log into my own account to play on servers and such. I do that because my laptop sucks and his computer is amazing... So I will have to change accounts when doing this.
But the first thing I noticed when I logged onto his LAN server, was I had all of his things. I mean exactly. We had managed to duplicate his items to me... So he kills me(With my permission) and get them all back. I then proceed to do the regular stuff, mine, punch trees, get iron and a couple diamonds and nether portal and begin my tower/house, you know, the regular.
So after playing about 2 hours, he has to leave for work, and I get to switch over to the nice computer!
Something to note, I logged in and out while the LAN server was up multiple times and never had the duplication problems. When I get onto the single player world, I am him. So I'm ok with that, and log off and guess I can only play on that world when I'm on my laptop. I'm fine with that.
Then later my brother came back from work later that evening, and starts up the LAN server. I log on, and behold, all my things in my inventory are gone, and behold, I have his items!
I posted this on here because I knew there are much smarter people then I on this forums, so I don't know if this is a bug, or we are doing LAN wrong. Please help!
Appreciate you reading this!
