posted a message on How do you make non-OPs right click a sign to run /trigger commands?
    Quote from Molokop»

EDIT: Fount the bug! I really don't know why mojang did that! When anyone is OP (can be offline), the non-OPs can't right click the signs!

Quite a strange bug, I am glad to hear that it was something that simple, and it makes a lot of sense. Do you have a link to some Mojang Bug Report webpage that I may see to examine what the causality was? I see now that because I opped myself to debug my mini-game map, the other players couldn't use signs from that point forward. I wonder why they did that...

Exactly! Don't you just love those chain command blocks? So less laggy.

Starting from scratch with a map is always a good idea after updates after updates.

It makes it exponentially easier to solve those pesky "wtf is that doing there" problems.

    Quote from Sildur»

If you use it for yourself only sure, might want to take alook at enhanced default aswell.

Remember, I won't be using your code, I would look at yours to better understand what each line of text means. And what effects changing each line will have. I will create my own code from scratch, only using yours as my "lessons" for trial and error to figure out what each thing does and means.

But I plan on posting it publicly like all of my maps/resource packs. But again, I will not use any element from your code, only elements that I create. But I would simply use yours, with a trial and error process to see what each possibility does, and once I learn what each thing does, I will create my own code from scratch. Of course I could also just go back and forth across the internet and find random tutorials for how to do it, and not use yours as my lesson/tutorial, however, if I can use yours as my tutorial (not using any code from yours in the final product), that would likely speed up the process of designing my own personal code that will be for public use.

Again, I cannot iterate enough, I will not use any code from your pack in the final product, I will only use yours as a trial and error tutorial to figure out what each line of text/file means. So I wouldn't be reposting yours, but would be making a new and original pack for my map. Only using yours so that I know what I am doing.

I just downloaded the "weak" version, I haven't yet tried it, but I hope to soon. I am a map maker, I also like to make resource packs for my maps, I know why you wouldn't want anyone taking your code (or Chocapic13 based on the file warnings), and reposting it as theirs, that sucks. I'd hate it for that to happen to my maps :P

But do you mind if I use your files as, almost like a tutorial so that I can design my own personal shader code? As it is really hard to only use Wikipedia and stuff. Because the map that I am working on as of now, honestly, would look REALLY cool if, not only with the great build, and the cool textures (and a custom sky of my own design), but also had shadows and reflections. It would simply be awesome. Of course I will not use your code, I will design my own, but I will use yours as my example/tutorial. Along with going from one end of the internet to the other looking for stuff explaining what each line of text means.

If I remember to, I will come back here to share the trailer for said adventure map :)

posted a message on Blackout - A Minecraft Challenge

One day, you're enjoying your survival world...

    Until one day...

    It becomes dark, very dark!

The challenge is simple, you will be equipped with 25 numbered resource packs, and every minute or so, you will replace the current resource pack for the next level up resource pack. Every level is darker than the one before it, but that slow progression will eventually lead to total darkness!

But there are rules, you only get one life, as in, the world must be a hardcore world. Also, no cheating by reversing the effects of the resource packs by using other resource packs with it, or by switching back to previous levels.

Once you die (or last at least 5 minutes in level 25), your game has ended. It would be wise to go to this post, and share how far you got (I.E. "I survived into level 18").

In order for the sky/lightmaps to work, you need to be using Optifine or MCPatcher (I personally recommend Optifine).

NOTE: If you find any problems of any kind with any of the resource packs, please tell me, I will be grateful, and I will fix them as soon as I can :)

    How long can you survive?

posted a message on [200,000+ DOWNLOADS] 1.7 / 1.8 + Lively Default - Greener Grass, Beautiful Sky, Clear Water, and More! Resouce Pack Release!

Hey original poster, do you know how to mess around the the sky_block property files to remove the natural blue tint of the sky, and maybe even change the tint to a different color. I know you didn't do that with this one, but out of curiosity, do you know how to?

For example, if I change sky_block.png to be a vibrant red. The sky at night will be red, but during the day, it will be a bright purple. If I wanted it to be red all of the time, do you know what steps I would have to take?

posted a message on THE INVINCIBLE BUTTON - PUSH IT ONCE AND YOU'RE UNSTOPPABLE - ONE COMMAND

I designed it for a few reasons...

One, I thought it would be cool to be invincible (it totally is!).

Two, it would be a challenge for me to do it, so that it can work with one command (it was in fact a challenge).

Three, it would be fun to see other people enjoy wielding the power of being invincible.

At least try it, it's really fun, I advise trying it on a flat world first so you know how it works, and then try it on a normal world, that is singleplayer, and then go willy-nilly all over the place.

One more thing, a while ago, me and a friend of mine were on my Aternos server so I could demonstrate my invincible button, and we discovered that it will always be a draw when two invincible people go up against each other.

But seriously though, try it, and enjoy wielding the power until you get bored lol

I eventually plan on creating other redstone gizmos similar to this one, but with more applications.

Oh, I forgot, a fourth reason why I built it, there's no invincibility potion in Minecraft. I thought I would go and create something similar to that, like the star on Mario.

posted a message on THE INVINCIBLE BUTTON - PUSH IT ONCE AND YOU'RE UNSTOPPABLE - ONE COMMAND

The only known way to kill someone while they're invincible, is with...

    /kill

    or...

    /effect [username] clear

Other than that, it is impossible (at least, no one has yet been able to vindicate me).

Not even the void can kill you!

posted a message on THE INVINCIBLE BUTTON - PUSH IT ONCE AND YOU'RE UNSTOPPABLE - ONE COMMAND

Yesterday, my brother was trying out the Invincible Button, and veered a bit too far from the machine, and I was worried that the 3 dyes would stop working, so he decided to fall into the void to respawn near the machine, until we realized that he was more invincible than we first thought...

He continued falling into the void far beyond the normal death point of about 100 blocks under or so, in fact, he fell over 21,000 blocks under bedrock, and he's perfectly fine, we exited the world because I had other things to do, but I plan on re-entering that world to see how far he can fall into the void! Possibly infinitely!

posted a message on THE INVINCIBLE BUTTON - PUSH IT ONCE AND YOU'RE UNSTOPPABLE - ONE COMMAND

As the name implies, you paste a command into a command block (given that you have at least 20 blocks of clear ground in all directions, so I suggest using a flat world, and that you place the command block under Y=150), activate it, wait, and then BOOM! You've got yourself an Invincible Button!

The command to paste in is at: http://pastebin.com/103SUcet

On the machine, it has two buttons, a green one, and a red one.

Pushing the green one will make you invincible and truly unstoppable, but make sure that you're in survival mode, it'll be more impressive. Pushing the red one will bring you back to normal, but it will clear your inventory so watch out!

When in the invincible state, you will have 3 special dyes that perform functions when you hold them (as long as the machine is in a loaded chunk)...

Holding the light blue one will teleport you to Y=255, this comes in handy if you need to scale a high wall, or if you're falling into the void.

Holding the red one will summon a TNT explosion where you're standing!

And holding the gray one will remove most types of unbreakable blocks in your general proximity (including bedrock, barriers, command blocks [don't break the machine with that], end portal frames, etc). This means that you can even break into a castle made of bedrock, making you truly unstoppable!

Enjoy, but with care, this thing is dangerous!

Well, I understand what you mean, but can't each player also download the world, and just have it for themselves, and then apply the resource pack that came out of the download?

They still get the resource pack, but for the sake of everyone else, they also get the world.

An idea that I just had, what about both? Have say 4 different downloads...

    1. Luigi's normal Mansion (world)

    2. Luigi's hidden Mansion (world)

    3. Luigi's Mansion (resource pack)

    4. All that someone needs including worlds, resource packs, skins, READ ME.txt, and anything else one might need.

And the fourth download would have the same file folder format that I mentioned earlier :)

EDIT: Having each of the individual downloads may make it more convenient for people who only need one piece, but generally, people who play adventure maps play in single player, and would like to have all of the files necessary, thus, have a specific download where all of the files necessary are present :)

Just something to look into, just click the download link at either my Minecraft Forum post or at the trailer for the map...

And then you can see how I formatted it, and perhaps you could do the same (because honestly, most adventure maps have quite a few different downloads/websites that I must go to before I even get to the adventure map itself :P [And I, and likely no one else likes that]).

If not, I can just have a diagram of mine here...
