Yeah I basically quit this site for a year the last time I was given an infraction for censoring my own profanity. The site experience would definitely be nicer if it wasn't so strict.
Good lord this thread is lonely. Latest update includes an improved color palette picker as well as color profiles and 1.16 blocks. Also improved color cache sizes. Check out some example output: This uses minecraft blocks. You can see more of it posted on the pixelstacker website.
@_reborn nope, not yet. No one has made any videos for it. Someone should though! Also- there have been many more updates to the program. Support for 1.14 blocks, support for material filters, color palette generation.... many many more. I'll have to make a post explaining it all later tonight.
Hey- found this thread on Google. Seems a bit out of date, but the question itself is still valid and people are still using this thread to find solutions for this topic. So- I'm going to provide some more updated information and give a link to a more updated tool for this purpose.
Do not reply to extremely old threads unless you are providing interesting new information, if a thread has not been replied to in a long time and the discussion is out of date please create a new thread.
Our community needs game masters to provide life and vision into the gaming experience. Right now we have creative plots, creative freebuild, survival, skyblock, some dev servers, and some random minigames. Some of these would benefit from a takeover and makeover. That's where you come in.
A game master is a server manager with a better name.
First you bring an idea for what you want to do with the server. What is your vision? Your dream experience?
Then, you set it up or get other people to help you set it up. This includes plugins and configuration, and listening to what the players want.
Once this is done, the server goes live and people are able to play on the server you are the game master of.
Players are happy they get a fun experience.
You're happy your dream is coming to life and you're the head honcho of that server.
And I'm happy because the community is having a good time.
Hosting is free and stable. I have a full time job working during the week, so everything is covered. Donations still go to the LG account though. (If we get enough on a regular basis, we can even branch out)
Also- as a last line of defense, I can answer most technical questions that will come up. My day job is software development.
Need a custom plugin? I may have already built something that fits your needs. 7 years of plugin development history is available for use.
I'm Pangamma, owner of the LumenGaming/Woolcity network.
About the LumenGaming Network:
Lumengaming has tons of custom plugins and an active base of players. The server is financially stable with a powerful server hosting it, and a professional software engineer at its helm. The focus has been and will continue to be providing players with a unique fun and friendly experience. We achieve this with our custom plugins and focus on giving the players what they want (within reason).
Within the network are some core servers and some servers that we shift in and out whenever we decide to try something new.
Core: Creative, Survival, Hub FreeBuild
Shifty: Dev, Archived Ruins of the Old, Minigames, TRON, Skyblock
We're looking for people who can lead the sub servers. We need people with vision and technical experience to provide the community with excellent experiences. Yes, you read that correctly. We're basically looking for people to bring their own vision, build a server for it, and then we'll host it within the network. Entertain us. Thanks.
Applicants should have these features:
Must be active (at least 7 hours each week)
Can manage and troubleshoot plugins
Strong social skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
A vision and plan for what you want to do with the server
A discord account.

What color match algorithm are you using?

There actually does exist an API for pixelstacker now. You can try it out here:
https://taylorlove.info/projects/pixelstacker/swagger/index.html
It actually works pretty well on photos as well. Has a really good color matching algorithm, and is pretty fast.

A thread for this already exists. Why post it?

Added some localization in the latest build. Let me know if any of the translations need adjusting.
