posted a message on Double minecarts

That's not enough. I need triple minecrts. And after that I'd like to have quadruple minecarts.

I'd rather to see a way how to link minecarts together.

The people are still getting the same idea of ligt fix again and again and they're still very close to the original one. I've posted a nice sollution, but it's at page 255.

For the hyperbolic space, try {4;3;6}, it's even cooler.

posted a message on Random survival challenge

Update: The goal is now limited to two possible goals and there are also two new optional rules. Originally, the players could set their goal to play at least one secound, that allows them to beat the challenge easily and regenerate the world.

posted a message on What do you think of my Orcish Outpost?

I advertize not to use stone roof for wooden houses. I think, the forestry mod adds some kind of grey wood, so use this instead. Using the right materials make the buildings look more pro.

I've once allowed Greenshoes to make a mod for it. I don't know anything about this mod. The link Samoletti wrote here requires to pay some money to download, so I ignored it. If anyone has a better link that doesn't require to register anywhrere or pay any money, post it here, please. I'm not registering anywhere and I'm not paying any money to download a mod.

Summary: No support. And THAT took me a long time to write.

The beginning is in fact a description how the 4HeadTiger's mod works. I'm not surprised when someone doens't understand it at all. It's pro-only. He has some videos demonstrating his mod, so I think, it would be better for you to just watch them.

For the seepage, the water would seep into the semiporous blocks when received a random tick and could seep trough a semiporous layer. I'll explain it better in the topic.

Some blocks I made unbreakable by liquids because they are in fact bound to the block. Redstone should be waterproof because of the ability to make redstone circuit underwater. I agree with that the torch should burn in lava.

Special conditions to flow mean that some faces are blocked with the block. Slabs have special conditions to flow, because the water can flow sideways, but not down troug slab. It could also mean that they can store less water. It's put all to one group, because there are many special conditions to flow and it would be very messy, when it would be stored this way.

I agree that the automatic well should be removed and the normal well could be operated by redstone. I don't know, why do you complain about normal well, when the wells normally exist. Do you know, what the well is?

I agree that the grid blocks are dumb, I'll remove them. They do the same as leaves.

It is possible to store two items in one slot and causes no lag.

I hope, that I've explained everything. If not, let me know.

And don't rate the suggestion before you fully understand it.

posted a message on Stackable Mushroom Stew...?

Empty buckets are stackable, but the full aren't. I think, this is similar.

Anyway, when is your suggestion short, I advertise you to ad more content, like why do you think it's good and why it is bad. Look at my suggestion about renaming nether quartz to coesite. The idea is very short, renaming nether quartz to coesite, but noone can say that it's vague, even when someone thinks that vague means short.

posted a message on Voxel's Guide To Building

That's a nice guide. All your buildings look very nice, but I see that you have never builed anything in real.

Logs like support for stone brick wall isn't a good idea in real. The supports should be stronger than the wall material and the hareder the wall material is, the least supports could it have. You can use log supports for example for wooden wall, wool wall, clay wall, sometimes for sandsnone wall, brick wall, or cobblestone wall. For supporting stone brick wall, extend the wall by one block where the support is supposed to be, or use another stone, for example diorite, andesite, or stone slabs.

Also the harder materials shouldn't be placed onto the lighter. Wooden house with a stone brick roof isn't a good idea in real.

I know, that Minecraft isn't real, but keep this in mind and your buildings may look even better.

There's a mod, that makes nice water reflection (Optifine, I guess), so it is possible. I'd like to use them for decoration. It could be also used for some cool stuff, like for specating rooms in whole house. Support.

    Quote from Cerroz»

At first I thought all of these would just be pure aesthetic gestures players can make. A couple of these are useful, but some are there just to be there and don't really have much of a use. For example, the "give up" one... What does that one accomplish?

It's the side effect. It's combined putting main hand up with blocking upwards. Alt+Shift+A puts the off-hand up and Alt+Shift+W puts the main hand up. Combined together, it's Alt+Shif+A+W and puts both hands up.

That's the challenge. You never know before, how much challenging your world wil be. Anyway, you need absolutely no ores to build the Nether portal.

    Quote from MrWigglies»

Isn't this the same way anyone starts a new world? I think having randomized custom worlds is just the same as starting a normal one.

No, it isn't, because you don't know, in what heights the ores spawn. The terrain can be quite flat or really mad. The biomes can be small or extreme large. There's also 50% chance that there will be lava in oceans instead of water. It isn't the same and you'd be supprised, what all you can get with this.

posted a message on Random survival challenge

    To start your world:

    1. World type: customized
    2. Use random seed.
    3. Press customize...
    4. Press randomize and quickly press OK without specating any values.
    5. Play on survival or hardcore, no cheats, no bonus chest.

Once you generate the world, you have to play it and you can't regenerate it. The only possible exceptions, when you can regenerate your world are these:

    • When you spawn in lava.
    • When you spawn somewhere in ocean and you see no land.
    • When you spawn on a lonely island and there's no tree.
    • When is your world too laggy, so you can't play with any graphics settings.
    • You have already reached your goal.

If you regenerate the world anyway, you fail the challenge.

Play on at least easy difficulty.

Your goal is defeating the Ender dragon or building a beacon with regeneration effect applied. That's on your choice.

You can play in any style you want. Do not cheat to get your seed or your world preset.

The point of this challenge is that you don't know anything about the terrain. It's like a new game then. Noone knows whether is it easy or hard. However, when the world generates too hard and you give it up, you should feel the same as it was easy and you gave it up.

    Optional rules:

    • You can see your world presets, but you can't modify them. You also can't press the "randomize" button again if you don't like them.
    • You can't use F3 debug screen.
    • When you despose a chest full of cobblestone, you can use NBT explorer to specate your world settings.
    • Play with bonus chest randomly switched on/off. How? Aim to the button with your mouse, don't look on the sreen and click insane for a while. Whether you can know whether is the chest enabled or diabled, that's on your decision. Anyway, check out that you haven't changed anything else.
    • You have to finish both goals. After you generate your world, type /seed and remember only whether is your seed positive or negative. You must not note it anywhere. Then immendiately exit your game and launch your world again and you can no longer use the command /seed. If is your seed positive, then defeat Ender dragon first and then build the beacon. Else build the beacon first and then defeat the Ender dragon.
    • If your seed is positive, then defeat the Ender dragon. And when is negative, build the beacon. You operate with the seed as described in the previous optional rule.
