It's good to know that he's updating but everyone does have a point with all of the update now and crap if the mod doesn't get updated then another update will take place in minecraft and the update work will take even longer....wait......oh well I guess it really doesn't make a difference :s Well I'm just glad he's working on it so he can take as long as he wants :D

You know its not as difficult as you think to update a mod yourself and according to the developer's guidelines its perfectly fine as long as you keep it to yourself:

    Quote from freakstritch

    blah blah blah...
    4. DERIVATIVE WORKS/MODIFICATION
This mod is provided freely and may be decompiled and modified for private use, either with a decompiler or a bytecode editor. Public distribution of modified versions of this MOD require advance written permission of the OWNER and may be subject to certain terms.

I not going to comment on whether or not I, personally, have an unofficially updated version of this mod as that would be irrelevant and useless as I would not be allowed to share the hypothetically updated thing with anyone :3
As a 2nd year Java programming student I will however recommend to anyone with little to some experience in java to try updating old mods like this that give permission for such actions for personal use and as a test of your knowledge and understanding of the code, because lets face it: most 'modders' start off with the same boring mods that they followed a tutorial on youtube to do, updating actually takes a bit more skill, creativity and you can throw in some originality in there while you're cleaning up someones messy/outdated code (not a comment on freakstritch's coding in anyway).
    Just food for thought guys.

    And seeing as how freakstritch's last post on the subject of updated was on the 2nd of January and said, paraphrasing slightly;

He took some time off for the holidays and is "Back on the case", the mod is being updated and will be re-released when its re-released.

    Peace.

    1.) Weapon System and Weapons
    2.) some more mobs

If you don't like that just say it, that's just a suggestion

Thats fine with me dude :)

Thank you for the error report I'm going to take a look at multiplayer compatibility very soon, I thought it would work on a vanilla server since the way minecraft was rewritten to have single player use the multiplayer server in the 1.3.x update, I guess not.

As far as multiplayer goes atm I still maintain it *should* work (In theory looking at the code) but I don't have the time to setup a server to test it, maybe not network multiplayer but LAN definitely.

If someone with 2 minecraft pc full accounts and two computers could try installing the mod on both computers, starting a new world and then opening to LAN and trying to join on the other computer and post results that would be a huge help.

At the current time I'm contemplating moving the mod over to use MinecraftForge instead of Modloader, any thoughts/opinions on this?

I think that this is an amazing idea.

Dear sir, I am skilled with textures, and I am more than willing to help give textures to the weapons and such.

I have no idea how to make models, but as long as I have lines to color in, my crayons will catch the paper on fire xD

I am 19, and hope that you can get some other coders to help.

And may I suggest something for the weapons?

Maybe you could make a separate GUI like in mine and blade battlegear?

We have a modeller on the team but we could definitely use a texturer, if you want to send Sombra a sample of your work and see what he thinks :D

And Weapon improvement with GUI's is top on my list for the next update along with some new mobs :)

Just AWESOME ! When for the SMP ? Goods servers must have this mod <3

(Sorry for my bad english, i'm french :SSSS: )

Hopefully the mod is multiplayer compatible as long as both client and host have it installed, but I honestly haven't tried it because setting up a server annoys me :P

If anyone could try and test it out on a server and post results I'd be happy to take a look at improving the multiplayer side of it :D

posted a message on [1.3.2] If your (Modloader) Mod crashes outside of Eclipse...
Hey guys I've been updating the Monster Hunter mod for Sombra studios and today when I was planning on releasing it I noticed an odd occurrence in which the mod and all its features worked fine when run inside the Eclipse environment but once the source was recompiled and reobfuscated, it would crash minecraft after installing it (adding to .minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar)

I did some quick searching and found some similar posts on various sites including these forums about it, with a wide array or suggested (and miore often than not failing) solutions usually assuming the modder hadn't install modloader/audiomod or was using a "unclean" minecraft.jar etc. things like that.

So after playing around a bit I just said "To hell with this" and deleted both my entire bin and resources folders inside ".minecraft/" as well as my MCP folder which I redownloaded, i then ran minecraft.exe, it downloaded new bin and resource folders, I closed it and installed modloader and audiomod to the clean .jar (without deleting the Meta-inf folder), ran mc again and it worked, then I copied the bin and resource folder to the MCP folder. Decompiled. Copied my backed-up src folder containing my updated mod into the correct location, checked it out in eclipse and worked fine. Recompiled and reobfuscated and installed into my minecraft.jar and now its working fine.

Now I'm not saying this is a 100% guaranteed solution, but it might be a good place to start if your suffering a similar annoyance with your mods.

Unfortunately I dont have the full error code to give you an example of what this might fix, just that it began and focused on missing forge classes/files like this little bugger.
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: forge/IConnectionHandler

I knew that something wasn't Patrick Swayze when it was telling me it couldn't find forge files when the mod doesn't use forge files.
    WHO TOLD YOU ABOUT FORGE!?

Before I found this solution (of sorts) I did try installing minecraft forge and after mucking that up a few times I got an error in eclipse to do with the minecraft_server.jar file being missing and "update()" and "setPlayerManager" being undefined, which I didn't have the motivation to try and fix so thats when I deleted my MCP folder and bin/resources folders.

Hope this helps everyone... Someone... Anyone? Q.Q

    Peace

Hey everyone I'm just letting you know I'm back!
All set up in my new house ready for my second year at uni and (finally) got internet sorted out :D :D :D

Anyway I have some bad news, I was running out of disk space on my main harddrive (I have 2) and long story short all my Documents, Music, Videos, Pictures and Pawnz got deleted.
    This includes the updated mod.

But luckily GoodGuyPaluch.jpg kept an older copy of the updated mod on my desktop which is still here!
All I have to do is give the models their textures and boom! Your fighting Velociprey and Barroths again in no time.

    As you can see here:

How long is this going to take?
I know you've been waiting very patiently so I'ma get some coffee/redbull/crack and it will be ready within the hour ;)

Hey guys if anyone has any ideas for this mod and/or wants to help in some way please send me a pm, as I guess I'm pretty much taking over the mod unless Sombra changes his mind or the original mod team comes back.

As a little update I'm just working out one or two bugs and then the mod will be 1.3.2 compatible :D

    Peace guys x

My seed is 571909583 or "It was the best of times, it was the bumhead of times."
Its a great seed with lots of mountains around it, a forest joined into some plains which trails off into an "s" shaped beach, some ditches filled with water and a hole nearish to the spawn with quite a bit of lava in it.
I haven't explored alot of it because the spawn looked so nice I wanted to build my house there right away :3

The seed arose from my talking on skype to my friend who was being a bumhead so I named my world bumhead and then wanted something a bit different but revolving around the same theme for the seed xD

posted a message on Minecraft xbox 360 edition will catch up to pc? How?
    Quote from TARZZANMAN77

Okay, I've been reading around forums and the wiki and from 4j studios that minecraft for the Xbox will eventually catch up to the present version of the Pc. But my question is, simply how could it?

One patch at a time I assume...
Remember that while mojang has to come up with new ideas, test them, release snapshots etc. 4J has a schedule of what patch comes next, what they should be working on and a good idea about what they're updates will look like.
I'm not saying 4J have an easier job, but a... faster job. It shouldnt be too long before they catch up with Mojang, when is a good question, but they definitely will.

    Quote from THExREALxTACO

That is an AMAZING build, but I'm afraid it would overload the XBox with all the pistons going on.

Regardless, I wish you the best. Any attempt at such a project is admirable!

He must mean the less-updated version without the potion room etc.
But its very possible, on my test world for redstone I've have the waterfall entrance with budswitch, hidden floor, wall and ceiling lighting in both single and strip forms as well as various hidden piston doors/stairs, the 4 digit combo lock.
I have the ingame time clock left to build then I just have to fine a nice spot to celotape it all together :)

Moral of the story: cnb makes anything singleplayer-possible ^_^
