I have the most simple password in the world. My friends all said "Hey, I bet I can guess your password!" And I said "You probably could."
We stayed up the whole night guessing what my password was, and they still don't know it to this day. xD

Speaking of seriously, I really think Notch should do at least something about signing into servers.
Also you can find downloads of a .minecraft folder that allows you to play offline mode free. Though, it can only be found on well known pirating sites.

Anyway, I died THREE TIMES on my first world, even though I was being helped online. Mostly because of creepers. When the guy who was walking me through it told me about peaceful, I felt relieved. I played it, and never switched back. It was kinda like creative mode you worked for. However soon, guilt set in. I didn't want to remove all my good hard work from the dastardly creepers that thwarted my creations earlier, but I still wanted to get the full feel of Minecraft. So I effectively have Four worlds. The first is my one on peaceful for building and building. The second is on normal so I can "play" Minecraft. The third is one I also have on normal, but I use Invedit on it. The fourth I MCedit and Invedit, and plan to host someday. Bam. Peaceful, and no guilt.
It's not a bug, it's that my account has been hacked along with several others, and Notch hasn't even acknowledged it.
It's a SMP issue, you give your username and password to the server when you log in. The jerk hasn't even adknowleged it yet.
Find a moderator and ask him how to recover your acount. TELL HIM YOU HAVE PROOF OF PURCHASE and you will be able to recover your acount when he tells you what to do.
Also: With the password the hacker could change your email acount and you could be screwed.
Notch should do what this other guy, Peppy, did. He has a game which has you log in every time you play or play in offline mode, kinda like Minecraft. It saves your username and password to a .ini file. At first, I thought this was the most idiotic idea ever. Anyone could open up your computer and find your password! But when I accessed the .ini file, I got a bunch of jargon at least twice as long as my actual password. I'm not sure what it did, but it seemed to do something to encode each character or several characters in a series of characters. Perhaps MC could send passwords to the servers like that?
They do have my email account, but since it was remember on my computer, I can still use it, just not log in anywhere else.
I bet you have some virus, most likely a key-logger. People can't hack into your email from Minecraft. Key-loggers record what you type and send it to the person/computer/whatever sent it to your computer. Get an anti-virus program and it should help. I prefer AVG, and with that you can have 30 days free.
Don't follow links, don't give people info, and apparently, dpn't play SMP. People can and will implement viruses and such in your computer, and as you can see, obviously do no good. Good luck with your account and email.
Also, don't get mad at people so easily. I can tell why you're irritated and possibly stressed, but (some) they are trying to help. Notch can't really do anything about it currently, he has about 6-7 people on his team. He's using his time to develop the game, and get rid of major bugs.
Actually, most ISPs say the really only anti-virus you need is AVG free.
