    Upon doing an obnoxious amount of tests, I've finally found the source of the 'crash' that I posted earlier.


    Reika's LegacyCraft has a bit of ASM in it which relies on the render code being a certain way. I've contacted him and he's going to fix the problem in a few days and release an update. Until then, anybody having this issue is recommended to uninstall LegacyCraft until the problem is patched on his end.

    This may be a completely unrelated crash, but as far as the console is concerned, these are the only leads I have. The client didn't even load fully, it just gets to that point and then leaves the previously posted code within the log. I didn't bother posting anything before that since it was all completely irrelevant, things such as other mods loading for the most part.

    I'm certainly using the latest version, and removing the 'conflicting' mods doesn't fix the problem. I'm willing to bet there's a mod in my client somewhere that redoes the rendering system, so i'm going to look around and see if I can find it.

    I'll report back when I find out more.

    Removing the conflicting mods doesn't seem to fix the InvocationTargetException and NoClassDefFoundError at the bottom, though.

    posted a message on Would you like to see a food overhaul in future releases?
    Food has always been one of those things you need but don't really need to pay a lot of attention to either. One thing that should probably change is having some of the best food items heal 4 hunger bars when health regeneration stops after losing 2. All you would have to do is add a small algorithim when eating food that converts wasted hunger points and puts them into saturation. For example:

    Hunger: 17 points
    Saturation: 0 points

    after

    Hunger: 20 points
    Saturation: 12.8 + 5 bonus saturation (due to overeating 5 points)

    The bottle o' enchanting is one of it's rarest trades, so be prepared for a long grind.

    Having a good standing with your village (Not killing them (directly)) will give you your best chance. Other than that just trade trade trade until you get lucky. If you have both a good standing and a lot of luck you might even manage to lock your trades at 4 bottles per emerald. At this point you're swimming in XP.

    Bukkit usually takes a while to catch up after large updates such as this one. Do you have any idea how much code under the hood has been changed? It's astonishing.

    I really do hope that we can get a plugin API before Bukkit calls it quits. Almost all servers would have to run outdated versions or play an extremely basic version of the game.

    Sadly you'll have to wait until Mojang implements the particle command for arrows.

    Due to the way particles are coded, you can't teleport them as they aren't technically real.


    As an alternative try doing the same thing with thrown snow balls, potion vials, and other various tossable items. If it dosen't work for either of them you could always spawn an arrow on an invisible chicken and then set the velocity of the chicken to simulate an arrow and then put the particles on the chicken. It would be clunky but it would work.

    OMG OMG OMG! Native support for particle effects! And it's good!

    I've been using Bukkit's Step_Sound method to do a similar thing but it's really limited as you can only make a break block effect, and you have no choice but to hear the breaking sound. Now I can make full on custom particle effects for a combat system or maybe for minigames.

    I would be happier if the enchantment system was more like leveling up your weapon/armor/tool.

    Use your item on the enchantment table and it will give your item its signature glow as well as a few basic level 1 enchantments. You can then pour levels into your item to level it up further if you so choose or re-roll if you don't like what you see.

    You could of course indulge in the old slot system by using enchanted books and putting them on your items.

    That said, it's probably just better to toy around with what they have here. It's got potential.

    Well there's your problem.

    If anything breaks PvP, it's soup healing and macros. People think it makes minecraft PvP take more skill but honestly all it does is reward people who use keybinds and macros and punish those who do not. This update with autosprint takes away absolutely nothing to the regular player and has even less impact on the game than sprint hitting, critical hits, and parrying did.

    Sometimes my potion icons look strange, and every now and then I can hardly notice the enchantment overlay fills the full bar as it shows in your screenshot.

    The crashing game bug happens to me all the time too. It's annoying.

    What is your definition of a prison server?: A prison server is where you start off with little to nothing, and work your way up the ranks. As you progress you get more and more stuff and are better ready to fight. As more people rank up, it's up to the guards to make sure that the prisoners aren't eaten alive by the higher ranks.
    What timezone do you live in?: Pacific Time
    Do you use mumble regularly (if not, would you to keep in quick communication with other guards?): I do have it and would be willing to use it if needed.
    Do you have any previous experience as a guard on a prison server (if yes, tell us about it here): No. Sorry.
    Did you read all of the Guard info?: Yes. I read it again to be sure I didn't miss anything.
    Do you understand and accept that you cant play as a normal prisoner while being a guard?: It's come to a point where I don't care about losing my ability to play as a player. I would like to play as guard.
    Why should you be a guard on Savage Prison: Because i'm experienced in PvP and capable of moderating a server.
