If only it were implemented... Not in the game, but as a mod.

Basically, in this mod, you can make a little checkpoint thing (it'd look cool as a laser) that times you. You go past it once, it starts the timer, showing live elapsed time as you go. Keep going around your circuit, and when you go past it again it shows a time on your screen that you had completed.

You could press, say, F4 and it opens up all of your previous time logs, and you could reset it by pressing r with f4 open.

You could change settings in a gui menu of the block, and you can set it to only record time 3 times.

This would be similar to portal's "emancipation grid", as far as textures go.

I think this mod would work well for boat races, RC races, even zeppelin races. Who knows?

Skerp, I'm having issues with the mod.

I spent literally half an hour on the page, opening every spoiler, maximizing every screenshot... When suddenly, I download it.

The problem? The controls don't work. I can spawn one, craft one, make a track for one, but it won't even move. I tried changing the controls, but... Nothing.
Could you help me troubleshoot? I really want to try this mod.

    Thanks.

EDIT: I feel like such a fool. You have to right click on it and make it go "BEEP BEEP BEEP BOOOOOP BEEP".

    Niceeeeeee

Actually, I was waiting to make my "Cavernous, cavernous biomes" in 1.2, so that I could use the jungle biome.

Planning on it, but I'm having some issues with Fraps... I've fixed the sluggish-mouse issues (for those who are wondering, change the hotkey from F8 to anything else), but for some reason, if I record anything for longer than 7.30 minutes then I get a framerate of 2ps...

And, Windows Movie Maker is dropping the video quality by around 100p, but I feel obliged to use it, as it also compresses the videos so when I upload it you YouTube it's around 10minutes, rather than 10hours...

I really don't mean to be rude, but this conversation should probably be going on in my map topic :tongue.gif:
It just feels weird talking about mine in this topic XD

No offence taken, if that's what your saying.

And yeah, fair enough, but that's all I wanted.

posted a message on Skyrim Style "Mod Manager"
    Hi there.

If you are a modder and clicked on this topic, I thank you. I think that this will be a highly appreciated mod.

First off, the mod will be a program that, when opened at first is empty. But, if you make a new folder, name it, for example, "Too Many Items", it automatically makes a folder. Inside the folder are two more folders - one named "jar", the other named "resources".

You open up the mod that you download. Some mods, as we know, contain resource files - if so, drag the contents into the resource file, and do the same with the class files into the jar folder.

Once you have emptied the contents of the mod you downloaded, you press "install mod", and the process runs as such.

If, at whatever point, you decide you want to do a legit world, you can press "deactivate" mod, which simply filters the current minecraft.jar folder, and takes what you installed and deletes it.

If, at another point, you decide you're going to do a speedbuild, you can press "activate" again, which will reinstall the mod.

This is the rough idea - I think this will be the most functional.

    Sincerely,
    -Oagao
