So now this is officially the promised Adventure mode... well, as long as it retains all the features that Survival has I'm 100% cool with that. An updated Creative is cool, but I'd rather be building in the 'full' game world so if the building features of the two stay parallel I'll be happy.
The different color lighting concerns me; will different block types have a set lighting color, or will players be able to choose the color of individual blocks/torches/etc. ? I'd want my lighting to be uniform in a lot of areas and I don't want to be restricted to only certain block types to keep it that way.
So Notch... ALL MY MONEY. SHUT UP AND TAKE IT.

Protip: If you have to explain the joke, it's not funny.

Well, getting to The End requires a visit to the Nether, but aside from that I personally would. Glowstone is nice, and I like the look of Netherbrick.

Oh, and nice poll setup. No normal option to show a positive opinion about oceans. "Ok" doesn't really cut it. Kind of a useless poll if people who like or love oceans can't properly vote.

tl;dr Portal 2 is awesome, the length doesn't matter.
Oh, as for Portal you should familiarize yourself with the story a bit. I recommend getting it to play it first, if possible, but at the very worst you can take a quick browse of the story at the Half-Life wiki:

Really, very cool idea for a quick 1st night house.
