    Could you please add a new config section allowing us to change the mana cost AND the burn out ?


    I'm hoping to balance this mod so for example it is not as easy to instantly break blocks.

    I stepped through a portal and I arrived inside a snowy forest. I have slowness III and wolves are killing me whenever I try to enter it.

    I was in SSP and it was the first portal I ever made. Fix this bug please, we're not supposed to spawn inside a biome we aren't able to visit.

    I tried looking for a proper way to report bugs but I found nones, I hope I'm not at the wrong place.

    Indeed since you don't have the thaumium fortress boots to complete the whole armor.

    I'm not sure if I understood you correctly since you can speak of the chestplate, but I have an answer for that too :

    The fortress armor gives magic, physic and for the chestplate fire resistance.

    So, even though the diamond chestplate might give one more t shirt, it is less effective at protecting you from incoming damages.

    I wish hungry nodes would stop pulling you if you're not on sight (For example if some blocks is blocking the way between you and the node). IMO it doesn't make much sense, even though it is practial using it as a vacuum hopper .

    Put him ABOVE the logs, that somehow works xD Same for the harvest golem

    I can unlock this tab without even making / using a si single thaumonimicon / thaumometer, just by eating brains from a farm made around an obsidian totem easily.

    Edit: By easy I mean, complicated to set up, but from then on it just requires some vis to run , for repair enchants and to speed the bore.

    The arcane bore requires more ressources to acquire / run / keep running. You need a few initial diamond tools, than a node to keep it fast and a void pickaxe with good enchants on it, using a repair pick is silly as it'll not repair itself inside the bore. The mana been option requires a few lamps of growth, a few silver wood trees with some nodes inside to spread the magical biome (or a sinister / tainted node, these work too), a few golem (namely one with a use core, one with a harvest core and one with a gather core), and some kind of way to get some fuel to burn the beens (one chop golem, one gather golem, one fill golem and one use golem to replant the saplings), you can even use raw wood as a burning material. My option is the most easiest way to get one processing going at a cheap price in the early game

    Thaumcraft is one of the last balanced Mods these days.
    With mana beans you can create metallum, which gives some iron nuggets, and if you happen to cook another mana bean (let's say lucrum) you get gold nuggets. Farming mana bean is something great to do and is what I call balanced, as you need a way to setup this farm (unless you live in a magical forest you need silverwood trees), and they're quit slow so one can use lamps of growth.
    I have a woodfarm working along with 40 coke ovens, yet I manage to control the entire farm with golems and that was a way more fun (and expensive in thaumium blocks) than MFR or other Mods these days. It's not like a forestry farm where you find the picture and reproduce it, you need to think wisely how to setup an efficient farm. One you get a farm going in the early game, you can than automate the alchemical furnaces to feed some constructs with metallum for example to get infinite iron out of it.
    Than, it's tools are really great as the Mouse pointed out. The void tools are infinite but slow, making them balanced (and some elongated mining will break them, unless they have unvreaking on). The void stuff comes with a price, sanity and peace. Once you have a way to make soap, you can just forget it for the rest of your map.
    And than, the ore processing mechanic is by far the funniest way to setup ore doubling. Giving that you have an internal furnace with some bellows and an ignis node feeding it, you'll get more nuggets back from cooking the clusters than what you actually used, so it makes an infinite loop in which you win stuff. Ofc the easiest way to setup the ore processing with TC is to get a lot of ordo beans constantly (metallum beans too) to throw into the construct.
    So from scratch, you already have a picture of what you need to do, but you don't have a single clue on how to do it and you have to think a lot about it. You need to invest a lot of efforts and time to get the cool stuff, that's all, and I've already played a modded instance with only tc (ofc by this time I didn't know that much about it, but that's how I learnt how to use this mod) and it ended up very well.

    Thanks a lot for that quick tutorial, the lamp of growth is able to reach up to 6 blocks in every direction than, right ?
    Furthermore, your octogonal area is even, so one side (South WEST/EAST or North WEST/EAST) can be extended by one block than ? If yes, which one ?
    I'll do some testings and I'll follow all the informations as said above, some were really useful !

    I think you can somehow manage to make a "on command" lever. Just put an essentia buffer at the end of your reservoirs, and place a lot of bellows around it (at least one more than the one you used to route the essentia to the reservoirs). You might as well place some directional essentia tubes at the input so that the bellow you just place won't try to suck essentia out of your whole system.
    Than you need to keep these bellows OFF all the time, that way when it's not ON the essentia from the input buffer will still go inside the reservoirs, and when it's ON it'll suck up the essentia from the reservoirs but not from the first buffer if you placed a directional essentia tube. I hope it'll work, I've never played a lot with these reservoirs but I know they have a little suction. Actually, I think they'll not be able to suck essentia from the first buffer if it has a bellow on it. It's your turn to build this contraption.

    Raiding dungeons or setting a crimson knight farm. You'll get research fragments that you can eat to get research points
