    Lol nice point but still. Every time a thread gets a post that thread gets bumped to the first page of this section of the forums. Since this mod has no more purpose (outdated/dis-continued) and that pernoix hardly goes on the forums anymore and that most people still say to update, bumping the thread and then spam starts to haul in.

    In my experience if there was a un-official update to a mod it would already be at most popular when at least 1 popular Minecraft Mod Reviewer does a review on the un-official update/ from random people finding the thread.

    It doesn't take long to see a mod come out and to see the other day that it has already 100 posts.

    Forge is an API of sorts that makes some mods (like build craft, industrial craft or redpower) be compatible with each other and extend both of there features together.

    Well to be exact forge is an api to make mods work together. There is this thing called FML (ForgeModLoader) which is made by the same team of the Forge Api and is included by itself or with forge. This basically just like modloader but a bit more advance and has more compatibility if you would say.


    EDIT: And for your instructions reason check the mod file's archive and check what it includes.

    Mostly if you see a class containing 1,2, or 3 letters in its name (Ex: abc.class, jj.class, or ir.class) it's usually named as a base edit mod. This means that specific mod goes into the minecraft.jar because it edits the core of some coding in minecraft.

    In most cases if there is no such thing as a class in that mod archive it is usually put in the "mods" folder where it is inside your .minecraft folder.

    Yes some mods do have certain steps for installing.

    This then takes into account that most mods require going into the minecraft.jar file or the mods folder. Which you may already know that some (mostly all) mods require an API of sorts (forge, modloader) to load into the Minecraft Client.

    If you don't know how to install a certain mod look for instructions on where you got the mod.

    Everytime somebody from the forge team modifies the forge API either by adding or fixing code they release that modified version of the API to the public. Numbering each build they release by 1

    It's pretty cool that you can put items in a chest in one world and take that item out in a different world.

    But I just play on one world any other worlds are just used for testing purposes.

    But in other terms I like the mod because of its functionality!
