I like the idea of an 'intelligent' foe that forces you to build a security system, but i don't like the idea of having neutral human mobs. I think they would be more interesting if they turned into animals in daylight, but could change back if damaged. Then you would never be able to anticipate an attack, and you could be surprised when hunting.
I know right. I got a warning for calling someone a troll. The person i called a troll was bullying another user. What is going on? I was doing a nice thing?!?!
Calling someone a troll is spam at best and disruptive/inflammatory at worst. You should have just reported the troll's posts and then ignored him. It's in the forum rules.
Change your fog settings to lower when underground, higher above ground. But usually never the highest, as that leads to black screens. If all else fails, use fast graphics and set minecraft priority to high in the task manager.
I set fog to tiny and it made no difference, but after I enabled fast graphics it runs fine. I guess I can play minecraft now but I still wonder how Notch managed to make a game more graphically demanding than crysis (I have crysis, it doesn't lag.)
OK... It's been a long time since I last played minecraft, then I found out about the new update, and eventually became interested in it again. But there is one little problem...
Minecraft is now lagging like crazy.
Every time I go underground, it starts lagging. I can't explore caves because I'm worried about the game lagging while I'm under attack. This is all on a computer that can run portal 2 without lagging AT ALL. What exactly is minecraft doing? It lagged before, but only right after a new world was created. Is there anything i can do to fix this? Does this blocky little game really require a faster computer than portal 2?
The one thing ghasts need is a drop. It could be anything, even a useless item, but there should be some sort of 'trophy' for killing the most powerful mob.
I actually hope Notch doesn't add any new content with 1.6. Every recent update has caused lots of bugs, he should work on fixing them before the whole game becomes unstable.
...he is...what planet do you live on?!?! It's obviously not Minecraftia.
I know he is working on bugfixes, but the amount of bugs in minecraft is still increasing. IMHO Notch should stop adding new things until he fixes the bugs in them.

Instead of adding an ON/OFF switch for every slightly controversial addition, Notch should expand the difficulty. Maybe lightning could only start fires on hard, and easy would have no charged creepers.

THIS^
What won't be your fault is your forest and/or house being completely burned down by netherstrikes, at least lightning always happens in rain...

I tried this, it didn't help, and i just realized that the rain sounds only play on fancy graphics.
