    Technically, I would think anything that uses single-player commands or mods would be "cheating". However after owning this game for about half a year and having already beat the game (killed the ender dragon) twice, a couple weeks ago I decided I was going to start relying heavily on the single-player commands, mainly just to keep my own frustration with the game down and making the game more fun.

    I use "gamerule keepInventory" so I don't have to lose all my stuff when I die. I really heavily on teleporting from place to place so I can save time traveling. And occasionally I switch to Creative mode just so I can be able to fly (just for fun). That's just about it.

    I think cheats are fine. It's up to the player to play how they want to.

    I had watched some first day survival tutorials. I loaded my world and set out to find a base. I found a cave and made it into a base. The problem was every time I got killed at night, I had a hard time finding my base again. My spawn was in jungle and I always got disoriented at night and was never sure which direction I was traveling. I would have had a bed ready in my base but I could not find any sheep anywhere. I had to journey FOREVER in order to find sheep. And this one time, I got myself really lost so I had to kill myself in order to find my base again.

    posted a message on Too many caves! Game is too easy
    I don't mind there being an abundance of caves but I do agree they get have made them a tad more rarer. On one hand I love to cave and explore the never-ending caves, on the other hand I hate that I don't have to go very far to find a cave entrance. It's not very realistic if you ask me.

    So maybe if the entrances to the caves weren't so plentiful it would be a lot better.

    UNlucky? I think it's pretty lucky of you to find two nether fortresses AND a desert temple in the same day XD

    The nether fortress came after DAYS of searching, though I will admit the desert temple was pretty lucky find (BTW there are THREE villages in that same desert plus a village in a plains biome not too far off). I don't think I ever said I was unlucky, just it truly sucked to lose my diamond tools......twice in the same day!

    I had just gotten a full set of diamond armor and tools, I mine a stone block and out comes a silverfish which after i attack makes a whole bunch more turn up, A spider jockey jumps at me and a zombie in full diamond armor was coming at me as well, I run out of my mine cause i didn't want to fight the spider jockey in a tunnel it could barely fit in, A pig comes down the mountains side when i got out and pushes me back in, Another spider jockey leaps down at me, The spider died and it starts to rain, Lightning strikes a creeper and then i get blown up and zapped by more lightning, 1 heart left and i kill the diamond armored zombie who somehow survived the explosion, Then a silverfish comes at me and pushes me into a cactus, I back up and fall into lava. Goodbye diamond stuff, I never really got to use you...

    First, that some luck that you found TWO spider jockeys AND a diamond armored zombie AND lightning strikes the creeper AND you. If this really did happen the odds of this of this happening have to be extremely rare...

    Second, how did a pig push you back into the mine? I didn't realize one pig could push you like that.

    Lastly, how did lightning strike inside the mine? And how is there cactus in the mine? If you got pushed in lava I imagine you must have been pretty deep.

    I'm having a hard time picturing this..

    Wow, how did you even survive the fall? It's a long way from the top of the pyramid down to the pressure plate!

    I didn't survive the fall, but that wasn't the bad part. If it was just for dying from falling I wouldn't have cared because I might still have my stuff, but I had to land on the pressure plate which blew up all my stuff as soon as I had died.

    posted a message on Worst Minecraft Day Ever!
    This was actually yesterday.

    Incident #1: I had FINALLY found a Nether Fortress. Not only that but it appeared to be two fortresses that almost intersected. I climbed to the top of one of the walkways and saw that there was Blaze spawner on the other walkway (which was a little bit higher up). While I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get up to the higher walkway a Ghast appears and we do battle. I run out of arrows so I start making a cobblestone wall so I can just focus on the fortress and ignore him (or her?). That's when I notice the gap between the fortresses. A little too late though seeing as how I was already falling to a pool of lava below and said goodbye to my enchanted diamond sword and diamond pickaxe.

    But do I rage quit there? NO. I decide to pick myself back up and continue with minecraft.

    Incident #2: I made myself a new diamond sword and diamond pickaxe and I was going to work on even better enchantments. So I go off to the desert at night to battle for more experience when I remember the desert temple I found earlier. Being the strapping explorer I am, I go to loot the temple to see what I can get. I managed to get down to the room below, grab everything and make it safely up. However, since this is my first experience with a desert temple I wondered if there was anything on top of the temple. So I make my way to the very top. I did find something but not what I was looking for. What I found was a hole. Yeah..........you know where this is going. So I'm falling through the hole and land on the pressure plate at the bottom of the temple.......BOOOOOOOM......and once again say goodbye to all my stuff. ;__;

    So I guess me and holes don't mix! LOL

    Anyone had a worse day than this?

    Dagnabbit! I had a response Puggy but something glitched and I lost it. ;__;

    The point of it was I never called anyone a troll (and I sure as hell have respected opinions in this thread) but I can see how coming onto a thread called "the landscape is not so boring" and keep on arguing against it can be misinterpreted as "trolling". I'm not sure why you're so offended by the very nature of the thread. You said it yourself, you have to respect others opinions. We disagree with you, can we just leave it at that?

    If this thread is just going to become a big flame war then this will probably be my last post here.

    I feel like this thread has completely derailed off course from its intent. There is a HUGE thread in the discussion forum for people to complain about the terrain. I thought this one was for people to come and share why they like the terrain. Whether or not you call it complaining, it's kinda sucking the energy out of this thread. This thread was creating by people who like the terrain with the intent of talking about about how much we like it. Not to sit here and defend our OPINIONS.

    This back-and-forth is just outright stupid. Opinions are opinions. There is no sense in arguing, can we just agree to disagree??

    Sorry but I had to get this off my chest.

    Finally found a fortress in the nether, in fact there were two that spawned right next to each other. And inbetween those two there was a gap I did not see. Suddenly a ghast appeared and I prepared for battle. Then, without even realizing it, I stepped through the gap and fell several blocks into lava. True story.

    So after this whole ordeal I decided to pick myself back up and restart. And was working to re-enchant my sword and pickaxe so I decided to go exploring at night so I could get experience from mobs. I found a desert temple. I explore desert temple. I loot chests at bottom successfully without setting of bomb. I'm about to leave then I try to make my way on top of the temple. There is a hole at the top, I stupidly look down without pressing shift and fall. Not only did I die but my dead body landed on the pressure plate below and BOOOOM goes my stuff. ;__;

    Yeah it's cool, but why not add these Kinds of hills in all biomes and not just Extreme hills and the occasional Taiga biomes. Looks at these from earlier version s and decided? Which you think is better? (I am not saying the generation is bad now but it's obviously not as good)

    See I like all this but I don't want to see this in every biome nor do I want this to be all I see. This right here should be a rare find IMO. I like my flat deserts and plains. Plus if they overdo it, it verges on the territory of being "unrealistic". Yeah, I know, it's not a realistic game, but I like it to feel as if it's modeled after a realistic setting. Too many mountains would just get monotonous and not as much fun to play on.

    EDIT: Oh and some of the floating mountains would drive me NUTS!
