I am currently working on other projects and not actively maintaining this mod. 1.9 might get me to revisit it once the modding support is there - it implements many of the changes that I would have (or did) myself, and the new features such as cooldowns, special arrows, and dual wielding open new opportunities. (Consider, for example, a sword that has a secondary right-click spellcast ability, but only if your off-hand is empty.)

The Azure Cloak is used for flying, in conjunction with a Sky Lens installed in a starwell. It works very much like the new wings in 1.9 do.

Put both Baubles and LegendGear in the 1.7.10 subfolder of your mods folder. (I'll look into the crash, too.)

Not a known bug, thanks for the report. I have a suspicion of what might be causing it, though it doesn't seem like a critical issue for now, and I currently have other projects on my plate; I probably won't fix it right away, but don't get too reliant on it. :)

I have not given anyone permission to redistribute LegendGear 2. If I do so in the future, it will be noted in the first post of this thread.

Thaumcraft moves the Baubles API to the 1.7.10 folder. Move LegendGear to that folder as well and it should work.

Also, when I was in creative mode (primarily trying to learn how to perform rituals correctly for about an hour) three of them fell out of the sky at the SAME TIME.

If you right-click with uninfused stardust while in creative mode it'll force a star to fall. (I set it up that way for easy testing and never bothered to take it out.)

The Wish Ring is a little hard to test, but I've gone over the code several times and it looks like it ought to be working. The Resonance Ring definitely works; it reduces the cost of mana-using rings, and increases the effectiveness of others. And the Wish Ring and Resonance Ring do work together, if that's what you're asking.

It's not a priority for LegendGear's current focus, but I may someday assemble a separate "Dungeonbuilder's Toolkit" mod, if there's enough demand that's not met by other mods.

Are you in an unilluminated area at night and under open sky?

Any mod that adds non-vanilla blocks to terrain generation can interfere with starwells being placed, as they will only replace specific vanilla blocks. Stars are only able to fall when a player is in the dark (that is, the block they occupy is unlit) and under open sky (no blocks overhead). If you spend an entire night, dusk to dawn, under those conditions, then you should be guaranteed at least one star drop. If you don't get one, let me know and I will investigate further.

Stayed up way too late futzing around in Blender. LegendGear 2 now has merchandise. (Just uploaded those today, so no guarantees about printability or quality or anything.)

You are quite welcome to use the mod in combination with other mods, and play together with friends. My concern is that I don't want anyone redistributing my mod; I want this thread and my links to be the definitive source for downloading, so that the current version is always the one people are getting and I can accurately track download stats, and so people know where to get official info and support on it.

I think it changed at some point, though not with the latest update. Does it still bring you all the way to the "star" at the top, just that the star's lower than it used to be? If not, make sure you're looking up all the way. Other than that, I'll consider adding ways to extend it farther.

My mod should be searching for a free enchantment ID and saving it to its config, and clearing the config would have it recheck. Is some other mod loading after it and fighting for the same ID? You could assign a different ID manually.

    New in this version:
    • Balance changes, mostly numerical. Endermen always drop ender pearls when slain and the dimensional catalyst recipe now produces 16. Sky Luck Ring buffed.
    • Azurite ore no longer breaks into dust when mined.
    • An active Sky Lens can be charged with infused stardust; for the next 10 seconds, anyone at the peak wearing a flight mantle will begin flight, without needing to use a feather.
    • You can drink from a bare starwell by right clicking. This will heal you and restore mana, but be careful not to do it too much.
    • New item, Spotting Scope. Right-click to ping a location, leaving a temporary marker visible to all players. Hold right-click to zoom in.

    New basic rituals:
Crucible [lava - lava], focus: smeltable stack
Dismantle [gravel - gravel], focus: armor, tool, weapon, or ring
Stoneskin [stone - stone], focus: leather
