I could just link them to this thread, as if I do get it changed I'll be posting my new name here.
Thanks for the reply I hope for more information shortly
Would it be possible to get my Minecraft account's name changed? As I've purchased I don't exactly want to start a new account, or lose OP rights.
Thank you.
If there could be some way to set building permissions, we wouldn't need cages, overflowing ban lists, etc.
Admittedly, that means more work on Notch's part. ._.
But it sounds really simple in concept, and probably has been suggested a hundred times by now. Then you wouldn't need a ban or a "/grief tag".
Just two cents that I feel are on topic but out of place.
This undermines the spirit and purpose of minecraft in just about every way, in my opinion.
It's a sandbox game, building permissions undermine this.
Although an OP version of every brick would be good.
I loathe them, and they are ineffective, I agree with citric and will quit if I find one.
The maze solution is the only reasonable one, as it is hard to escape and puts off all but the most determined griefer.
We just don't use any protection on our server, ban griefers, it works fine in my opinion, there isn't a real need for anti griefer protection.
The only anti-griefing method I liked was the idea of a maze (made of opcrete), it puts off the casual griefer rather successfully. Bar this, I agree with the other sentiments that it is pointless, and I especially loathe spawn prisons. If you don't want it damaged while you're away, take the server down...
