    Interesting... I never thought it had something to do with the Macro Override key because it was set to LCONTROL. It seems that Minecraft or Java interprets the left Ctrl key and AltGr as the same key. (They are definetly not, because LCtrl+7 does not produce {, AltGr+7 does.)

    Thanks for your help Mumfrey, i set Macro Override to another key and all works fine again.

    I have an issue with 0.8:

    Whenever i try to type a macro including { or [ the colorpicker appears.

    It is because i have to press AltGr to reach those brackets, which pops up the colorpicker - e.g.: AltGr+7 for {.

    Before 0.8 the colorpicker appeared also, but it still typed the brackets, i only had to remove the colorcode afterwards, since 0.8 only the colorcode appears, so that i can't edit all macros in game and have to open the macros.txt to do my brackets.

    Is there a workaround for this, so i can type my brackets again?

    I believe even with MCP out now (MCP Releases) it will take time to finish this great mod...

    But it is absolutely worth waiting. My Zombie and Spider neighbours are having a non-stop Party and driving me insane... :biggrin.gif:

    Dunno, if i did something wrong, but i have no display in multiplayer. In Singleplayer it works perfectly.
    Is this intended? - I hope not?

    What does the "a" option in the config file do?

    No problem, as long as you are back now. I had no functioning light monitor all the time because of compatibility problems other monitors caused.

    Also if found it very handy for the /cmodify command, if you share lots of chests with a some friends. It actually saved my fingertips...

    It is always the same, a few idiots spoil things for the rest of us.

    You have to use a coin if you want to use a shoping cart, you have to enter captchas if you want to post something you have to protect buildings on your server and so on... I understand that Rei is angry about such (censored). But i always try to remind me, that most people aren't this way, so that i finaly manage to calm down. (Bought a stress ball - helps a lot :smile.gif: )

    Back to the topic... In one of my first posts here i said that Entities and Cavemap should be activated by default, but i became convinced, that the way to deactivate it by default, and add a possibility for admins to allow it, was the better solution.

    On our Server (non pvp) we miss the Player Entity display for finding each other and the Cavemap. You may say that we might use Zans for cavemapping, but it is more interesting to only see explored caves, rather then all of them.

    Ouch, my ears. You know how much you loved something, when you suddenly don't have it anymore.

    Since 1.8 is out, i am looking forward to get rid again of all the annoying sounds that come from somewhere distant and have nothing to do with the place i am standing.

    Draake, i hope you also miss your mod as i do, so your motivation to update it is as high as mine to get it :smile.gif:

    I believe one point of what makes out the charme of minecraft is to figure out ways to build and automize things.

    Of cause it is their game, and they could do anything they want to it, but it might not be wise to alter it so, that the possibilities and encouragements to build automatisms are reduced.

    Nobody needs all the items a giant mob trap can produce, but without them, there is no sense in building and improve it. Same with automated minecart stations, boat dispensers, mushroom farms, sugar cane farms and so on. If they alter the game, that you have to do it all by hand, there is no motivation to figure out new ways to automate it.

    If you love the game for its possibilities of building tricky things, you may fear that you end up with Mineadventure not Minecraft someday.

    I personally hope and believe those fears are baseless and that the new features will bring more encouragements for building than they remove.
