    Are there any features/mod ideas you can think of which aren't in any mods that you know of that would be very helpful, balanced, and/or fun for you when playing Minecraft? I.e., you ran across something and said to yourself, "I wish a mod added this!" List any that you can think of. :)

    One thing that I like about this version is that it actually uses rubies and not glass and redstone. That kind of bothered me before. I assume it uses the forge ore dictionary. I cannot wait for this mod to be 1.4.5 available!

    Well it's not really about Item IDs as much as it is about the Forge Ore Dictionary. Making the Ore Dictionary recognize both Purified Copper (from Steamcraft) and Copper Dust (from Industrialcraft 2) as the same. Same thing with both Uranium items from those two mods.

    Also, I was talking about disabling highwaymen from spawning even while not in Peaceful but I'll take that as a no. In a future edition, perhaps? :P

    Hello, 0xC6607Eo1! I'm glad to see someone attempting to update Steamcraft now. I have a question: How long do you plan on maintaining/improving this mod?

    As a side note, there were a couple of things that I suggested to Proloe in the past about fixing parts of Steamcraft, I hope you'll look at them.

    Cast Iron:
    I know people have been sort of upset with it having the same recipe as Refined Iron in IndustrialCraft. Well, I think I have a fix for it that is inexpensive and makes absolute sense. This would require adding another, intermediate block but I think it's worth it. When researching what Cast Iron is, I found out that it's a re-melted form of Pig Iron, which is just Iron with a large amount of carbon in it. So I'm thinking that you just craft Iron Ore (the block) with Coal (which is primarily carbon) to make Pig Iron. Then smelt that to make Cast Iron.

    Item IDs:
    We were speaking about a week ago and that got me thinking about other ways that you can use Forge's item dictionary, Proloe. These are 2 items of which I can think of that could have the same IDs as 2 in IndustrialCraft 2 without disrupting anything, and making sense. I've looked and I don't think they can be abused if you actually apply these changes. Purified Copper having the same ID as Copper Dust and both Uranium items from the different mods.

    To be honest, this would lessen the appreciation I have for this mod if you started doing some wacky things like that. Throwable Tomatoes, so long as they're like Snowballs, I would be OK with. Cake-bombs just doesn't sound good to me.

    This is really cool. Not just something you plug into Minecraft and you're already done with it. You actually have to be involved such as with the tomato harvesting. Man, there's alot of stuff you can add to this. Such as Dough in a crafting table making a Doughnut. How about put Cocoa Beans on top of Dough to make Cookie Dough and then cook it to make a Cookie? And then Dough in a furnace making Bread, effectively making Bread 3x lighter on resources to get.

    Here's something that I would want you to implement above all else though. Having the Hopper be inactive unless supplied with a Redstone signal. It's not just going to work on its own without some sort of power.

    This is actually pretty cool. Everything makes sense and is useful. What are the differences between the Stove and the Furnace? Why would I want to use the Stove to cook my food rather than a Furnace? And what all can you cook in the Stove?

    Also, I have a few suggestions for additions. Squid tentacles (calamari) and sheep meat (mutton).

    @Muzuh: I kind of like it where it is. I'd rather there be no magic and stuff in this. Everything in this mod, for the most part, makes complete sense. But eating a brick of iron and having it protect your body? That doesn't really make sense to me. Also, food heals the hunger bar now.

    Whenever the item in the additional slot that this mod provides gets used up or broken, Minecraft crashes. I believe it's because of Inventory Tweaks or Redpower. Can you create a patch for this? The weapon in my hand broke while I was fighting a creeper. =(

    Ah, yes. The problem is fixed now. The new NEI I just download is significantly smaller in size than the old one that I had before, but that doesn't really matter. If the problem was, in fact, with NEI itself, I think the creator has figured it out, or will soon. Thanks, ChickenBones.
