posted a message on New sound effects?
What do you guys think of the new sound effects? Most of them are pretty nice, but most of them sound too realistic. Minecraft was never intended to be a realistic game, and the realistic sound effects don't fit with the graphical style of the game. My least favorite would have to be the grass footstep noise. I mean, it's just wayyyy too quiet. I miss the loud, unrealistic grass footsteps noise.
The dirt footstep sound is the complete opposite. It's way too loud, and gives me a headache after a while.
The wood footstep noise isn't that great either, but it isn't terrible. I mean, it sort of sounds like the old one.
I know that most of these sound effects were added in November of 2012, so this might be a little too late to complain. What do you guys think? Do you like the new sound effects? Why or why not? Give your honest opinion, if you have one.

posted a message on Rare usernames?
I didn't even know a username could be as short as two letters...whenever I make a username for another game or service, there's always an interval on how many letters can be in the username. For example:

Me

(username must be at least 6 letters)

tyrannosaurusrex

(username can be no more than 12 letters)

posted a message on people who dont play minecraft who also make dumb comments
Minecraft is a really kid-friendly game. While the game wasn't exactly aimed towards kids when it came out, it was still pretty innocent nonetheless. And it still is. Plus, it lets people of all ages express their imagination. Games like COD, on the other hand, don't have any sort of mental value overall. I just wished that more people knew how good of a game Minecraft really is.

posted a message on is minecraft still scary
Minecraft never really scared me anyway. When I heard cave ambiance for the first time, that just sent a cold chill down my spine. Creeped out, but not really scared.
Then the mobs. As long as you know what your doing, fighting and killing them isn't too hard, even in earlier versions of the game. I don't really jump when a mob comes out of nowhere and attacks me-I just try to kill it as quickly as possible.
But that's just mobs in general. Creepers are the ones you need to worry about. Whenever a creeper comes out of nowhere and blows up, I jump more than half of the time. And that spooky face...you just can't resist to jump whenever you see it.

What if they weren't cheating, but are just a lot more skilled than you? Accept it-they might just be better than you. But i'm not at liberty to say something like that. Whether they're cheating or not, you shouldn't get upset. It is just a game, you know.

Woah...I never knew there were THIS many minigames in Minecraft. Well, I haven't heard of at least 90% of these games, so i'm not really surprised. But still...SO MANY MINIGAMES...

If you're talking about actual pictures, then here's a detailed tutorial.

Step 1: Find the picture you want upload.
Step 2: Right click on the picture, and click on "Copy image URL" from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Go to http://imgur.com.
Step 4: You can either upload a picture from your computer's memory, or from a web URL. In my opinion, it's easier to just upload it straight from the web.
Step 5: Note that you do not need an Imgur account to upload pictures. Click on the Computer button to upload a picture from your computer's memory, or the Web button for uploading them straight from the web via a URL. What ever works for you.
Step 6: If you are uploading a Web picture, simply paste the URL you copied earlier into the URL bar.
Step 7: From here, the picture you want to upload should appear on your screen. Next to it is a checkbox. Mark it, and click the Upload button.
Step 8: It is required to crop the picture before it can be uploaded. From here, they'll let you crop it. Once your happy, click the crop button, and then click Save.
Step 9: Ta-da! The picture is uploaded-to Imgur. To upload your picture to the FORUMS, then you need the BBC code. It should appear in a list of different URLs to the right of your picture. Ignore everything else except for the BBC code. Copy it.
Step 10: Now just paste that code into your reply on the forums, and...Presto! Your picture is now shown in your reply. Right there, and not just linked to the Imgur page. How convenient!

Hopefully this tutorial helped you with your problem.

posted a message on Minecraft rabbits [rabbit fur>brewing][breeding/ambience][90% support!][Over 50+ supporters]
This is a REALLY creative and though-out idea! But on the other hand, i'm not willing to kill a cute, innocent animal just so I can make a potion that lets me jump higher. But hey, all animals in Minecraft are cute and innocent. So I don't think it really matters. :D
Anyway, I'm more than willing to support your idea. I'll start using that signature right away!

Slimes. They are pointless

I kind of agree with you there-slimes don't have much of a purpose. I mean, sure, you can use their slimeballs to make sticky pistons, but they aren't really important. If they weren't so weak and so rare, they would actually serve as a CHALLENGE.

posted a message on Battle of the restaurants-Chucky Cheese vs. Starblocks
You should have called Chucky Cheese CHUNKY Cheese. I know that sounds kind of gross, but it fits the Minecraft theme.
Also, I don't see the difference between these two restaurants. I mean, they look different, but due to the lack of food items in Minecraft, these restaurants most likely won't be successful in the long run. Plus, it isn't a very creative idea.

I like extreme hills, because the large mountains are great for building mountainside homes. Caves are also very plentiful. I think deserts are the worst, because there's no trees at all, and mining is difficult.

posted a message on The Origin of the Nether
Quote from Silverbit

The Nether is actually quite real, having been discovered in the year 1945 (the end of World War II) by an inventor named Howard. G. Nethery. (Hence the name) He grew up in a poor town, had poor parents and the like. He was exploring around his house one day (for he was a curious soul) and he saw that at the bottom of a tree there was an out-of-place stone. Now, any normal person would have passed it off as someone had put it there on purpose, but oh no, not Howard. He picked it up and there was a flash of light, and then *BAM*, Howard was in the Nether. Well it wasn't called that at the time. He spent a few days exploring, keeping the rock in his pocket so he wouldn't lose it, for somehow he knew it was his only way back.

At first he called it "The hot place" but then, being the smart boy that he was, he realized that if he were to become famous, he needed to name it something cool. Hence, he named it after himself, because he thought he was pretty cool.

Since it had become a famous place (thousands of people vacationed there every year, as it was a great place to obtain a suntan) Mojang decided to import it, using many lines of code, into their game prodigy Minecraft.

The End

Uh...that's a pretty weird story...
