Oct 6, 2013Mineblox304 posted a message on Saturday with Sach: My First NightI remember my first few days in Minecraft. I was 11 when I first started playing. I was more of a Roblox person in those days, and while my brothers were watching me play, they made a bunch of comments saying how Minecraft was much better than what I was playing at the time. I had no idea what Minecraft was, so I searched some videos up on Youtube. They were mainly videos of cool things people built in Minecraft, like roller coasters and pirate ships and the like. About the time I started watching videos, one of my brothers bought Minecraft. They jokingly told me it was the sequel to Roblox, but I knew he was just kidding. My brothers eventually asked me if I wanted to play, and I said yes. I played on my brothers' account, and they told me how to craft simple tools and the basic controls and jist of the game. They also told me that these scary monsters came at night and that if I wanted to survive, I would have to build a shelter. They suggested that I play on Peaceful mode since I was new, but I didn't do so. I dug out a hole in a tall mountain with my newly crafted pick, and once night came, I blocked off my cobblestone 'door' (my brothers forgot to tell me how to craft a door). I waited till morning, breaking the cobblestone occasionally to check if the sun was out, and quickly blocking it off again. When I saw that the coast was clear, I walked out. I spent the rest of my day exploring. I had discovered animals, and I wanted to farm them for meat. I tried to build a pen out of wooden planks, but it was difficult getting the pesky animals in there. I had to push them in, as I didn't know about wheat to lure them in, but the 'pen' was only one block tall, and the animals would just jump out like it was nothing. I don't remember what happened after that, but I remember my first death, which was kind of pathetic. It was night, and I couldn't find my shelter. There were mobs all over the place, so I dug a small hole in a cliffside. I blocked it off and waited there until sunrise. Unfortunately, I ended up getting crushed by gravel when I dug a hole in the ceiling to make more room. I respawned at the bed I had crafted recently, and was distraught to see all my items were gone. I told my brothers about it, and they told me about Creative mode. That's where the fun began...(sorry this is so long...)Posted in: News

The dirt footstep sound is the complete opposite. It's way too loud, and gives me a headache after a while.
The wood footstep noise isn't that great either, but it isn't terrible. I mean, it sort of sounds like the old one.
I know that most of these sound effects were added in November of 2012, so this might be a little too late to complain. What do you guys think? Do you like the new sound effects? Why or why not? Give your honest opinion, if you have one.

Then the mobs. As long as you know what your doing, fighting and killing them isn't too hard, even in earlier versions of the game. I don't really jump when a mob comes out of nowhere and attacks me-I just try to kill it as quickly as possible.
But that's just mobs in general. Creepers are the ones you need to worry about. Whenever a creeper comes out of nowhere and blows up, I jump more than half of the time. And that spooky face...you just can't resist to jump whenever you see it.

And WHY is that a bad thing?

Step 1: Find the picture you want upload.
Step 2: Right click on the picture, and click on "Copy image URL" from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Go to http://imgur.com.
Step 4: You can either upload a picture from your computer's memory, or from a web URL. In my opinion, it's easier to just upload it straight from the web.
Step 5: Note that you do not need an Imgur account to upload pictures. Click on the Computer button to upload a picture from your computer's memory, or the Web button for uploading them straight from the web via a URL. What ever works for you.
Step 6: If you are uploading a Web picture, simply paste the URL you copied earlier into the URL bar.
Step 7: From here, the picture you want to upload should appear on your screen. Next to it is a checkbox. Mark it, and click the Upload button.
Step 8: It is required to crop the picture before it can be uploaded. From here, they'll let you crop it. Once your happy, click the crop button, and then click Save.
Step 9: Ta-da! The picture is uploaded-to Imgur. To upload your picture to the FORUMS, then you need the BBC code. It should appear in a list of different URLs to the right of your picture. Ignore everything else except for the BBC code. Copy it.
Step 10: Now just paste that code into your reply on the forums, and...Presto! Your picture is now shown in your reply. Right there, and not just linked to the Imgur page. How convenient!
Hopefully this tutorial helped you with your problem.

Anyway, I'm more than willing to support your idea. I'll start using that signature right away!

I kind of agree with you there-slimes don't have much of a purpose. I mean, sure, you can use their slimeballs to make sticky pistons, but they aren't really important. If they weren't so weak and so rare, they would actually serve as a CHALLENGE.

Also, I don't see the difference between these two restaurants. I mean, they look different, but due to the lack of food items in Minecraft, these restaurants most likely won't be successful in the long run. Plus, it isn't a very creative idea.

Nope.
