I guess I didnt really think about what I suggested (and it also seems like I was demanding, didnt mean to sound like an asshat), now that I think about it, there is a big variety of cobblestone-like stuff here.
Though I really never saw that kind you are using in this pack. If you have a real-life picture of it, that would be nice (not because I dont believe you, but because im curious.).
Just one more thing, though: when I think about natural stone and switzerland, I can really only think of light stone, like in lucerne (the lion in the stone, gletschergarten) and some gravel pits where I live.
The pack is very dark already, and perhaps lighter stone could be a nice addition.
i also wanted to say that the overall quality of the pack is really great, the textures are seamless. It really just doesnt look all that swiss yet!
just curious: where in switzerland do you live? I live in solothurn, myself.
Meh, I was excited when i saw the topic, now im pretty disappointed :ohmy.gif:
The wood doesnt look like its typical for switzerland.
Typical swiss wood would be the kind of wood used when building chalets (google it), dark, looong planks. So really, nothing like what your wood looks like.
the cobble also doesnt look swiss at all.
try something like this
You see this alot in old streets.
I hope I could help
edit: oh also, the swords just have to be halberds!
Personally, I think the mod is horrible.
They need a game designer so badly. I mean, the coding is good and top quality, and they have the ideas, but they dont know how to implement them. Its just a big pile of features.
To get on machinima, you must either pay them, be a massive annoying ****, or be a quality animator. Anything else is luck.
Not to insult you in any way, but thats the truth.
...and hed stop. Stare at me. silently. Waiting. And then Id whisper
"...its not a lie..."
Tears would be shed.

DID YOU EVEN PLAY PORTAL
but its different cause this isnt so similar to minecraft
Yes, and this thread is about cube world.
Anyways, what do you think guys, if he releases an early version of that game, will you try it?
edit: heres some stuff I gathered
It's written in C++. The game is written by someone with a Phd
The height of the game is 256 but the blocks appear to be 2x as small.
There will be no crafting or mining
Procedural quests
Multiplayer game from the start
He plans on finishing it first and then releasing it on steam for a low price
I just found it, and I think it is amazing. Sure, voxel games are pretty common, but I think its stuff like that damn big troll (scroll down for the vid) that seperates your average voxel kid game from the voxel games with potential. What do you think? I hope to have a normal discussion here, so 'HURR MINECRAFT RIPOFF' morons need not apply.
by the way, if you think its amazing like I do: The guy started to work on it a bit less than 2 months ago.
2 months.
if youre going to take textures from painterly, why not go all the way to moron town and just post a whole painterly pack?
Its not like the painterly textures are unpopular

Put 'dont discuss if cube world's a rip off or not' and you just try to start a discussion about how fortress craft is a rip off or not.
Go away.
