I really like this new cobblestone texture! I think it looks a lot nicer than the other one that was made.

Oh cool! They actually made it! Now I can get this and play it on my 3DS when I'm out!
...except I can't, because it's a New 3DS exclusive, and I only have the original one. Oh well. I'm honestly surprised it even came out for the 3DS at all, even if it did wind up being a N3DS exclusive. Looks like a sort of watered-down version of Pocket Edition. Probably still wouldn't mind having this or the Switch version, just so I could play it on the go.

Um, April Fools was like a week ago...
In all seriousness, this really feels like Paid Steam Mods 2.0. There was a lot of backlash when they offered the ability to sell mods for games like Skyrim. They eventually removed this because of all the complaints. I don't see this working out too well, but I guess time will tell. Judging by the comments, it doesn't seem like many other people like the idea, either.

Um, color changing parrots? Haha I'm sorry, what? I like that they will dance now. Don't get the color changing thing, but the dancing part sounds adorable!
Guess I'm gonna have to put off finding a jungle biome now, until this update comes out. I want some parrots in my world, now! -

My hopes of a 3DS Minecraft are just about gone now. Oh well! Will probably pick this version up if I get a Switch.

I dunno, I feel you should get more back from smelting some items. Like chestplates. They cost 8 ingots to make, yet you only get a single nugget back? Seems like it should be 1-2 ingots. I understand not getting all 8 ingots back, but only a nugget makes it hardly worth recycling old armor. At least it makes sense for tools only giving back a single nugget!
Rocket-powered flying sounds fun! I'll finally get a use for all that gunpowder I've collected my entire playthrough!
I suppose Mending+Infinity on a bow was pretty overpowered. I've been using it on my world. I've almost never needed to use my sword now. Wonder if it'll remove one of the enchantments if I update my game version?

That's kind of how it feels to me, too. Just feels like stuff that didn't make it into 1.9. -

A pre-release already? That... doesn't seem right. This was a fairly quick update!

EDIT: After logging off/on, it switched back to the normal tame wolf texture. - To post a comment, please login.

I forgot about this other skin I made (just a higher resolution version of my normal skin).
With this other mod I use, I can have it load a skin directly from a URL. So I've been using this skin in my 1.10.2 world. It's only 32x32, but I hope to be able to increase the resolution someday, and have it look somewhat nicer (drawing skills permitting).

I decided to do some overnight fishing last night. Heard that with a rod with mending, you could essentially fish forever with it. After a little while, I did find one, so I let it have at it. When I came back, I still hadn't gotten a mending book, sadly (I did manage to get Frost Walker II!). Even worse, when I turned around, most of my tree home had vanished! Only a few floating blocks remained, and the basement I'd been working on. I've no real idea what happened, but my best guess is that there was a thunderstorm in the world during the night, and a lightning bolt hit the tree, and then it stopped raining. Could have sworn there was a limit to how much fire would spread. Didn't think it'd eat up like 85% of the tree. This has never happened before in this world. And no, there are no fireplaces inside.
Much of the day has been spent rebuilding it from the remains of the tree. Enough of it survived that I can rebuild it almost exactly the way it used to be. My chests on the upper floors survived as well, so I still have valuables. Sadly, my diamond armor I was making did not survive, so I've lost quite a bit of diamond, and experience enchanting the books/armor pieces. As of now, most of the tree has been restored. Just missing the leaf dome on the bedroom (top) floor.
I think I'll look up some tutorials, and make a villager farm, so I can just trade up for a book from a villager instead. I'll also make a few changes to some materials in flooring (like surrounding each floor with some sort of stone block, as a sort of outline), so it'll be much easier to rebuild, in case something like this happens again. It might even save part of the tree too.

For me, it depends on how I'm mining.
If I'm strip mining, I don't care if my wolf comes along. I usually will have them sit a few blocks behind me, so they don't jump in front of me. There's not much for them to do when it's just a tunnel and nothing else. I light these tunnels up well enough so mobs do not spawn, so them dying to a creeper isn't an issue.
If I'm digging out an area (like I'm currently doing in my single player world with my basement), again, I don't mind them coming along. I'll keep the areas I've dug out well lit, so nothing spawns, and if there's lava, the wolf will already be sitting, so it doesn't jump in.
If I'm exploring caves, then no. The wolf stays at home. In caves, there's no telling what you may find. It's especially dangerous if you tunnel into a giant ravine, or even worse, a ravine with a lava lake bottom.Wolves have a tendency to die in caves extremely easily. Should you ever get hit by a skeleton in a cave, the wolf will chase them, and probably walk off a cliff to its death, or into a lava pit.

I've been getting back into the game here recently. I've been playing on a new world with large biomes. Had to move quite a distance away from my spawn, as I don't really like building much in mountains. Found a decent plains biome, and built a giant tree home. Still needing to decorate the inside, and work on the outside a bit, but the overall base design is done.
The tree is still a work in progress, but it provides shelter, and that's enough for now. I'll work on it more later on:
The outside
First floor:
Floor 2. The ring above leads to the library, and a balcony overlooking the front:
The front balcony and the outside view:
Potion room:
Crafting room:
Library and Enchanting room:
I've also been exploring the world quite a lot, trying to find some resources, as well as occasionally heading back to my old spawn to farm cows/steaks/leather every now and then. Finally found a mesa biome, and some nearby desert ones, so I'll have a good supply of hardened clay and sand for glass.
This is roughly 5,000 blocks away from my tree home:
Unfortunately, all these biomes are thousands of blocks apart, which is a real pain traveling to them in the overworld, even by horse. So I started a series of nether tunnels/railways so I can get to each of these points faster. I have portals set up to my old spawn point, the mesa biome, a swamp, and a flower forest (I plan on making a garden later on, so the flowers will come in handy)
Rails to the forest and swamp are finished, mostly.
And finally, I figure I'm gonna need a storage space, as well as more livestock in my new home, and even a place to grow some crops, so I started a little bit on an underground basement of sorts. I put this on hold, though, as I want to finish my nether railways first.
On hold, but it has been started, anyways
Found I'm running low on iron. I may have to start mining again, like I haven't done since I moved away from spawn! Currently hoping to get a couple of mending books, so I can keep my tools fixed.

I use a minimap/world map. I like to see what my worlds look like. Other than that, no. I don't use any commands.

If you're spamming left click in 1.10, there's the problem. You need to slow it down some. You can still attack pretty fast, but spamming left click is gonna make the fight a lot harder than it needs to be.
As for the witch itself, they're pretty easy to take care of. It takes it a few moments to make a potion, so use that time to get some quick hits in. You can try jumping, and attacking as you're falling, which should give you a critical hit. Even a few critical hits with a stone sword is enough to bring it down fairly quickly. If you find melee is too hard, bring a bow and some arrows. With enough distance, you can kill it before it has time to throw a potion.
If you do get hit by a poison potion, find someplace to hide for a little bit. A hole in a wall is perfect until your health regenerates. Make sure you have food, so you can eat if your hunger bar empties too much (1 and a half chunks on the food bar). If you can, bring milk, as it'll let you get rid of the poison when you drink it. Be warned that it'll also get rid of positive effects too, like strength or fire resistance.

Yes, you can use Forge for Minecraft 1.10.2 with MorePlayerModels 2. You shouldn't see anything different than if you'd used 1.9.4.
0
So this is apparently a thing:
The 1.9.4 version will work with Minecraft 1.10.2. Or at least it is for me. Honestly did not expect this to work.

Made mine myself, based on a look I had in another game.

I personally like DustyCraft. Sadly, he doesn't update it very often, but it looks very nice.
Otherwise, LITHOS is very nice if you want something that looks like default, but with more detail.

Kind of strange. I've been playing on a large biomes world, and I've not had any of these issues.
Just keep mining, and you'll eventually find plenty of iron and coal. Smelt them, and get your bucket, and you'll be able to safely cross the lava. I think you can mine lapis with stone tools. But yes, you will need an iron one for the redstone and emerald ores.
As for sheep/chickens/any other livestock you may want, just hunt around. Sometimes it's just bad luck, not finding the animals you need. I've had this happen sometimes in normal worlds, where I need to run around for miles to find one.
For beds, I recommend not even going for them until you have sheers. It's just not worth killing the sheep yet, especially if you're having a hard time finding them. You could wait until you get 12 string, and just craft wool blocks, if you must have a bed.

I think Botania had a thing where you could purify them, turning them into normal potatoes. If I'm running that mod, that's what I usually wind up doing.
Otherwise, same as just about everyone else, and toss it into a cactus or a fireplace/lava.

Doubtful you could sell kits, as these usually contain items. You cannot sell items for hard currency (real world money).
As far as I know, name color changes are fine, as they are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay. Don't know about ranks, but if they give special privileges on your server (like adding more /home spots, or more plots on a creative server), then they are probably not allowed to be sold, either.

Never liked the nether. Sure, there's a few things there that are very useful, but seeing as how everything in it is trying to kill you, not to mention the constant threat of falling into lava, it's just not a place I like being in. Usually only go if I need something, and half the time it's only to get a couple of blaze rods, and then never again.

I am apparently a sheep. Who knew?
