    Quote from iTHEhorseman

    I know that this has been a recurring thing, but notch should really try and fix the boats. The graphics are fine and the characters body sticking out the underside of the boat is fine, but it would really be nice if he would fix the maneuverability. Right now the boats are like retarded seahorses. Sometimes they listen and cooperate, and somethings they decide to go suicidal and slam into a rock wall.

    So, do you think he should fix the boats?

    Right you are, sir. :iapprove:

    Quote from ChaeEatWorld

    Oh I understand the thinking behind that. Which is why I said, don't add this in Creative mode. It would only be in Survival/Adventure mode. It would be pointless in Creative mode.
    The point of this concept is to add depth and a 'goal' to the game, while not adding an 'ending'. This would not be a 'find all the blueprints and you win' type scenario. It would be for the player who really wants to immerse himself in the game and have an extra challenge. If you feel like going for it, you can unlock some newer, harder mobs and more interesting buildings and npc's. And if you don't want to do it, you just ignore them!
    Minecraft is a sandbox game, but Notch has expressed wanting to give the game an overall 'goal' or purpose to it. This could add a newer, more challenging aspect to the game and still allow it to be that sandbox-type game that has made it so popular.

    What makes this so attractive, to me, is that I really enjoy building up my town! Now that they have added villages and strongholds, it makes building way, way more fun! The only problem is that it tends to be the same thing, over and over again. Build a shelter, survive a night, build a bigger shelter, make tools, get food, settle down or explore. You aren't going to come across some awesome, hard to find object in the game because it isn't there!
    Again, I want to restate, this would not be added in Sandbox/Creative mode...only in Survival/Adventure! :biggrin.gif:

    If Notch created an RPG mode, I'd agree but, I'm still on the fence.

    There could be an item, created as such:
    :: :: ::
    :: S ::
    S S S
    S=String
    :: =None

    This item would act like suction cups, and give the player the same ability as spiders.

    It wouldn't necessarily have to be a currency/barter system at all. What I though was the 'golden' idea was the blueprints. :tongue.gif:

    I'm on the fence about your 'blueprint' idea. It seems very interesting, but not for a sandbox type game like Minecraft. And, also I'm very intrigued by your merchant idea however, again, I don't think it fits this sandbox type game.

    OH OH OH! and if you place them like this ; :||||:
    HERP DERP HERP DERP HERP DERP HERP :||||: :||||: :||||:

    Where :||||: is the straw blocks, you make a straw hat, making every chicken in dunno 10-15 blocks follow you :3

    That would be so hilarious. Great idea, love it. And, I also love the main idea. I could see it having some flaws but, a great idea none the less.
    (P.S.: There should also be some kind of chicken repellant to counter act the negatives of this idea)

    posted a message on Dear Mojang, stop adding pointless things
    Quote from Kanye_Weast

    Why does Mojang insist on adding little details on to an unfinished product? Honestly, Mooshrooms and their whole little biome are utterly useless, and don't contribute to Minecraft at all. Why not add some game changing stuff, like new ores, and mobs that are ACTUALLY scary as hell. Maybe fix Endermen before they take the time to make useless Mooshrooms.

    I'm sick of this, they need to start focusing on what's important in this game, not the details.

    It's like putting furniture in your new house before changing the rotted floor. It's pointless and will eventually get in the way when you're trying to finish.

    They keep adding things that should be polish, that should be added once the game is bug free and essentially done, but instead of working on the foundation for this game, they make a new pointless stupid cow. 1.9 pre-release has been a big fail so far, and I'm not sure the actual 1.9 update will be much better. It's already been split into 1.9 and 1.10.

    I fully agree.
