Alternatively, you could build a mob farm and instead of using it to get drops, where the killing floor would be fill with a water stream to catch them and transport them to a killing chamber.

I do believe the plus side to the recipe book is, you can ignore it. Just do what you have been doing all this time.

And yes, there are plenty of adult MineCraft players.

Who are you calling an adult! I am not an adult, can't prove it!!!

Because they want to play it? This is a question that kinda answers itself...

Indeed. Key reasons, simple shapes and colors. There are many others, but it kind of always falls back to that. There is also the fact they have siblings, parents, family in general who play games. This is something they can do and be like who they look up to. Minecraft is simply a game there is no wrong way to play, and anyone can play it. It is much like giving a child a piece of paper and some crayons, and let them draw what they want. The enjoy doing it, and are proud of what they made. Even as adults, you will find this trait still exists.

Headphones don't just put sound in your ear, they put you in the game. The right headphones, you can tell where they are. That and it is pretty awesome when your into the game, can't hear sound outside of the headphones, and someone touches you or walks into your peripherals. Good times.

I was testing out block combinations to swap out the hardened clay block in my base (they were accent blocks, so I thought they would fit better with the sci-fi theme), and I noticed that the new color palette didn't match the already-existing glass palate in all colors. This might just be a nit-pick of mine, but it's something I couldn't help but notice.

Really? I swear they matched well when I tried them. Now, I am going to have to go back to my created world and check. thanks for the heads up.

    I agree. To a point.

I have been waiting for wood tools and accessories to be tree type color/texture specific. I would like slabs and stairs of already existing blocks. Specifically some older ones, it's time. Vertical slabs would be kinda cool, but whatever, not a need, or a personal want. There are other blocks and ores I think would fit in, and some maybe essential. There are some, I just do not like (granite).

However, I can wait. No big deal. This is basically a creators update, and is giving some of the creators of maps, pixel art, and various other things that they desperately need and want. Modern houses finally have patterned like mosaics. Pixel artists finally have some color options they didn't have and relied only on texture packs for. I can replace carpet with the new blocks in my builds, and it won't look as weird. There are many benefits to the community that people have never been heard until now have gotten.

You speak of people being lazy with their comments. It's lazy to complain and not do something about it. You can go out and make your own textures for these new blocks and for your liking. Take Andesite, and turn it into the marble you want. Take the granite and make it a new stone variant, since these spawn in stone. Change ID's and make your own blocks out of block you currently do not like. You can go in and take out things, or render your own object and add them if you're determined enough. Ask the resident Miner on these forums how he makes his stuff. Learn, do it.

Make a post like this again down the line if you want to "Improve" and give "feedback" with actual alternatives of your own and not out of chisel. Post screenshots. List what it takes to get it done, located, how it works. Make your own mod. Doing all this is when you'll get taken seriously. Don't just post it here. Post it everywhere minecraft related. Get feedback. Take criticism. Improve your idea.

Minecraft is a sandbox game. You can do with it, or make with it anything you want. Just saying it sucks isn't being productive either. It's a community, and not just about our own needs. Wait it out, or be the change my man. YOU CAN DO EEEEEEET :D

Dude, I feel ya on the blocks and things we need,

I do not understand the whole negativity or the confusion on the iron nugget. It's there for one reason. to take 9 and make a bar. It was added because you can now smelt down iron tools and armor. It's not hard. I've already designed an item sorter and smelting system for my skele grinder. Gold/iron nuggets for all. Not To mention more nuggets for gold sword sorting. Now everything in a grinder/farm is useful. Sure, a potential diamond armored skele could break it, but they are rare, and as I have never had one drop the armor, that is even a rarer chance.

This is why it was created, and if you don't have intentions to smelt down the stuff, it doesn't affect you. I already have boxes upon boxes of stuff to smelt, will just wait til the patch to update a smelter to the sorter.

The cartographer only has one trade in maps such as supper flat, or others that do not have oceans or roofed forests. Thats paper to emeralds. They share the same white coats as Librarians. The rehashing of the Nitwit green coats, was just to add a basic villager. If your world isn't superflat, or does contain roofed forests and oceans, you have an error in your map, havent loaded new chunks for new villagers, or haven't traded enough to open the rest of his trades.

Thanx, but no everything is good. I ccp'd it directly from Jeb_'s twitter when he first announced so i would not forget. Realm just went down for maintenance. However, the title typo is now embarrassing :( Hoping maybe it was just our realm.

No there is no new amidst to read 1.11. Just simply create an new minecraft profile named "Amidst" (edited so it made more sense), and set it to 10.2, and everything there from that version will still be there. (The naming is optional, I do it so I know to delete it when amidst updates) Like mentioned, no mansions or new stuff included, but still useful for seed roaming and such.

I would like to ask since this update, is it a bug with the realm, or is it intended that I cannot switch the from the default number? No matter what value I turn it too whether it be 0 to turn it off, 1, 23, 25, or 1000... it stays at 24. I get the message that it has been set to my command, but I stand there and watch, and nothing. The realm has reset, and nothing. I've logged out, nothing.

I have built my entire base around my skeleton spawner, and made it to where no matter where I am at on the floor, the spawner is active. My storage, my bedroom, my garden, everything is there so while I am busy with my things and at base, it is on. Now, I feel like I have to sit there and watch it, otherwise I am wasting the entire point of having it there. There isn't even a reason to have an off switch anymore, because at 24 it's broke anyway and what's the point.

If you are experiencing this problem, post here. If you have a fix, let me know. If someone can tell me if it is intended, that would be nice also.

I mean, this could potentially be a deal breaker for realms for me. There are backdoors to still play with friends, this was just a convenient way. I don't like NOT being in control of my map.
