What version of MC are you playing on?

    What Java Version?

    You can try Optifine

I believe the Title Prefix does tell you what MC Version I'm playing on.
Java I keep updated at all times.

I should not have to use a Mod to fix a default Minecraft problem. I'm sure there's another method.

    Quote from Dumble_Door»

This is texture error. As said above try Optifine.

There are no "texture errors" in Default Minecraft textures. If there's an error in a Texture, it'll be on my end, and I should not have to use a mod to fix it.

Also adjust anisotropic filtering (AF) in your Nvidia.

Any setting which attempts to 'smooth' edges can cause the textures of adjacent blocks to no longer meet perfectly, leaving see through gaps.

Thank you! This worked and is completely fixed. The edges are smoothed again. Apparently when I got information about changing my NVidia settings, the other sources forgot to mention AF would cause me issues too. Thank you again.

    Solved~

posted a message on Weird White Outlines Around Blocks

So I haven't played MC for quite a while and updated to the latest to see what's going on. Made a new Hardcore World with the default texture packs and no mods.

I look around and notice these weird white outlines on absolutely every block. The further away from blocks you go, the lines get more apparent and make the world look strange.

I've searched for solutions to this online already, and have tried a few things including:

    Updating my NVidia graphics card.

Disabling Antialiasing and Threaded Optimization on my NVidia control panel.

Messed around with various settings from increasing to decreasing settings in the Video Options ingame.

    Fresh installed MineCraft from minecraft.net

    Restarted my PC.

None of the above removed the ugly white outlines.

    Anyone have ideas?

Do the mods work with Liteloader? I can get them to run with Forge in
general, but when I use Liteloader to run VoxelMap, Treecapitator
    doesn't work.

    Mods:

    Minecraft Forge

    LiteLoader

    bspkrsCore

    Treecapitator

    VoxelMap

All are 1.8 versions, and I have tested Treecapitator by itself using Forge alone, and with LiteLoader.

I would be great if 1.6.2 version will be compatible with forge

Rei's Minimap 1.6.2 is compatible with MineCraft Forge 1.6.2 Universal.
I would know, I use it. I refuse to update to 1.7.2 until Rei's is updated :P
I've grown to accustomed to Rei's Minimap to not use it, even though I am capable.

Did you get your Username from a TV show called Ghostwriter? Just wondering since there was an episode with someone with a username exactly like yours on it.

If you read my Profile you will find the origin of my name.
Bottom line though, I was using this name before I even knew Ghost Writer existed

1: I want to say "shutup" to all the idiots who cannot comprehend how to use mods properly.
2: Stop bagging on the OP, Rei has already stated that English is not one of their strong points and has tried hard to work on this for you. If you can't comprehend it then use the other Minimap in the Mods List. I don't even know if it's updated, but at least Rei gets it out ASAP.
3: For those who keep saying it's a Modloader/Forge Mod. WRONG. You don't need any form of loader to load it. Just toss all contents into your minecraft.jar and Play. Simple.
4: For those who keep saying "you should update to 1.6.1" GIVE REI TIME 1.6.1 just released within the past 16 hrs. How easy do you morons think it is to update a mod, no less that Mojang decided to be retards and screw with the coding AGAIN just to make a new launcher.
5: Leave Rei alone, the Update will be here when it freakin' gets here. Have patience, grow sense, and cope with it!

posted a message on Mo' Creatures - v12.0.0 for Minecraft 1.12.1!! Now Opensource!!
I'm unsure if this has been questioned, but I have noticed that the Scorpion swords are actually quite low durability for what they are made from.
If I read the update right, it says that combining a Diamond Sword with 3 'like' scorpion stingers increases the damage and durability of it. A diamond sword has well over 1000 uses (1562 exactly). The Scorpion Sword only has barely 300 durability. This makes making a Scorpion Sword highly not worth having, for the reason that Diamond sword has more durability and can be enchanted with a better effect than Scorpion Sword.
I propose that Scorpion Swords get better durability equal to that of Diamond or higher, or gain the ability to be repaired in inventory by combining it with scorpion stingers of the type made into the sword itself. (Example: a Frost Scorpion Sword can only be repaired with Frost Stingers.)
Please consider this, I do like the Scorpion sword, but I think the durability makes it a waste of diamonds altogether. Thank you.

It would add complications to the game, we love treecapitator as it is... I mean, what if an axe did't have enough chops left? What if a tree was bigger than the number of hits a brand new axe has? I just LOVE this mod just the way it is - simple and it WORKS so well with other mods. : )

You obviously did not read the guys Suggestion.
He said if the axe doesnt have enough durability to take down the whole tree, it would take from the top end first, and whatever the axe couldn;t break would be reachable with a new axe and capable of finishing it off.
I actually like that suggestion, it makes it fair with the axes, less OP, and gives a solution to a problem that could come up when factoring in durability.

I'll simplify his suggestion for you:
When you chop down a tree and the durability is factored in, it will take away 1 durability per block destroyed.
Let's say I have an axe with 20 Durability left on it, and I decided to take down a large 2x2 jungle tree with 64 blocks of wood. The top 20 pieces of the tree would be chopped off first, my axe would be destroyed, and I could try again with a new axe and finish the rest of the tree off.
The problem with this suggestion however is that how would you factor in taking off the top blocks from destroying a bottom block. It might have to go from 1 block on the bottom being destroyed, the one you break yourself, and the other 19 from the top portion of the tree.

    Quote from CtMarkster

Good god, listen to the white knights. The mod has been inactive for a month muppets. During that time, there's been an update, and just about every other mod out there has been updated. When you take on the responsibility of a mod, people depend on it. If you don't keep it updated, then you let people down.

The simple truth is, that MWisbest is not being unreasonable. He has provided fixes that people asked for, while the mod maker was inactive. Indeed, I can tell you as an Aussie, that the kid who "Just started year 11", is the one being lazy. School Holidays are on where he lives, and he has obviously had internet access and hence has not been away, yet the mod is not updated. He simply doesnt want to do it.

So I suggest someone else, more responsible should take over the work, so the white knights can get on with defending the many bugs Minecraft has. I would do it myself if I had a clue how to do it. But I am sure there are others out there much more capable and willing than I.

Cut the guy some slack dude. It hasn't been inactive for a month obviously, he's still working on it as he promised, but it's difficult, I'm sure.
Quite honestly. People shouldn't depend on mods so heavily that they absolutely neeed them. If they absolutely need this mod they can follow the fix posted somewhere above to make 1.2.4 work with 1.2.5. Until then, they'll have to be patient for 1.2.5.
Also take into account, he's young, and the pressure that people keep giving him probably gets to him heavily and makes him more reluctant each time to do it. So as you said, you said you aren't as capable or willful to do this for him, then in that case leave it to the one who HAS been kind enough to do it since the mod has been out, the creator. He hasn't given up, and it hasn't been long since 1.2.4 update. So give him some slack. Besides you don't know WHAT he does in real life. Even if school is out and he has internet access, it doesn't mean he's able to just login everyday and do what he wants. If he is indeed a kid he probably has responsibilities he has to follow at home. You don't know what he has to do in real life.

Oh, guess that makes sense then, since I was having a small problem with FPS lag at the time. Thanks for clearing that up then.

    Not a problem. :)
If you have alot of FPS lag, Two good things to try is if you have a processor with 2 or more cores, you can set minecraft to only run off of one core, this often helps. Another thing is to try using GameBooster. this is a good program that speeds up and optimizes your processor and minimizes background lag to for optimal performance.
If it comes to worse terms, install Optifine onto your minecraft as a mod. This mod reduces lag alot.
    Hope this helps :)

posted a message on At what level do you enchant ?
You can enchant at any level 1-50. Max level is 50.
The higher level you attempt however, the better enchantment chances you get.
Alot of people are saying that certain levels give certain enchantments, like 25 being a good silk touch enchantment level.
This is not always true, Silk Touch is actually better rate at 50, because it is considered a "High Level Enchantment".

But if you do not care about higher level enchants like Silk Touch or Fortune, stick to levels 1-15, and for good enchantments 35-50

I would always suggest 35-50, but if you're making your first 5 diamonds into a diamond pick and enchanting table then you can always go to lower levels to keep low-enchanting your stone-iron tools for quick production.

    That's just me however.

When I first started i survived about 3 days before taking a blast in the face from a creeper. My durp though, since I didn't know that creepers exploded when I first started. After that i survived a good 2-3 weeks ingame before my next death, and i even stayed underground most of the time lol

posted a message on Discuss Your glitches

Well, try when you look at a certain part of the land just right, you almost see into the underground from surface level. (or higher!)
I donno how but I think through possibly a glitch, I somehow ended up with X-ray vision but once I moved to try to get a better view ('Cause a stone block was blockin' my view) the game seemed to go "No peeking down there!" and bam, instantly, the ground reappeared to me.
And before anyone asks, I was playing SSP with nothing more than what originally was with the game.

This isn't as much a glitch as is lag.
It was because your chunks were loaded awkwardly, and they just needed some time to catch up to your movement. If they were already loaded then disappeared when this happened, it was a chunk error, that autofixed when you moved.

As for me, I know of a few glitches, one of which has been noted on the wiki as a useful and possibly never-to-be-fixed glitch.

One glitch in 1.0-1.1 is the Fire on the Head glitch. This is a glitch where if struck by lightning or set on fire, you have a strange chance to have your head caught on fire even after the damaging sequence has ended. This fire is permanent and won't go away easily.
However a temp fix I found is to go into the nether. If this doesnt work, die in the nether and it should extinguish you on respawn. This has been proven to be fixed 75% of the time.. the other 25% you're still on fire, and might either have to do it again or remake your world.

Another glitch is the Redstone-to-Obsidian bug. This is a rather useful bug, and I think due to the rarity of lava to redstone ratio, this is actually a fair bug as well. The bug basically is, if there is flowing water near a line of redstone, where a lava drift-off flows onto the redstone, the redstone will change to obsidian. This has been in the game since 1.5 or so i believe (corrections appreciated). Many players have used this, and made machines called "Obsidian Generators" using this bug. (I'm even one of those that made a unique machine for it which is (nearly) fully automated. My version even doubles as a cobblestone generator :)

This interesting glitch will make ya laugh. I found a glitch that made me fall to my death before. if you have a Redstone repeater on a block, the movement on that block is limited. if you try to walk on that block from the front of the repeater, it won't let you, as if a block were there to prevent your movement. If you walk from any other side, you are allowed, as if nothing is there. If you however JUMP onto the repeater, there is a 35% chance that you will FALL through the repeater and the block it is on, making you fall to the closest block below that. One time i built a circuit in a cavern, and jumped on a repeater and fell through the block. Below there was nothing but about 45 blocks of empty space. You figure out the rest.

This glitch I found while mining coal a while back. Strangely enough, I mined out some coal and a gush of lava popped out. My luck it was the one time i didn't bring my Water bucket. So I tried to frantically mine out the opposite direction, and managed to get some dumb luck with a water gush in the wall. it popped out and pushed me into the lava, but since the water was pouring on me, the lava wasnt setting me on fire either. I was kinda shocked to see my body half in lava and half in water, and taking no damage. lol. I don't think this was a complete glitch, but i do know that touching lava, no matter what circumstance, is supposed to deal you damage per half second standing in the lava. i'm guessing while in water this cancels out? Or maybe it was just a fluke. this is why I said it sounds like a glitch, because it seemed like the water negated the lava effect completely.

posted a message on HELP! Can't feed chickens!!!
They are fed wheat, but it does depend on a few things.
Are the chickens Adults? You can't feed chicks.
Are you in 1.0 or higher? The ability to feed chickens and other animals for breeding was released in 1.0.
Are there any mods that alter the ability to feed animals? I heard of cases of some mods breaking the game mechanics of Vanilla MC.

if none of this is the issue, try doing this on a fresh Minecraft and see if it works.
