posted a message on The End Update - something that everyone wants

A pigman reskin, a Slime reskin, and a useless ore and tool tier.

Is anything about this idea actually unique and worth considering? Try to be more creative when thinking of new mobs for the End.

    Quote from Wolftopia»

Agreed! This would fit in well with an ender-expansion mod. I like the nature of the mob; it's not that damaging to you itself, it justs handicaps you and makes fighting other mobs harder. If anyone wants to make the mod, you can use the texture I made for the Twitcher:

(Mastermined, you are free to use this for the suggestion as well, of course.)

I like the texture a lot, honestly!

But as for this suggestion specifically, it just doesn't meet my specific purpose. I feel like it would take away the point of my suggestion compared to my own screenshot, if you know what I mean with that.

    Quote from Chas_pls»

Lets say you wanted to lock a TNT cannon so only you can use it, then you could use the lock block. You would right click it when you want to activate it and type in the code. That way, only you can use your cannon.

Or you could just place a redstone torch next to the mechanism.
Or feed a repeater through the lock block to activate the redstone behind it.

Minecraft redstone can't exactly be called secure. And locking one input seems silly when you can create a second input wherever you want, or just break the lock manually.

I'd actually say "make it removable" by forcing the player to burn themselves, if they're on fire, the twitcher will be scarred by the bright light (something they haven't seen in likely months) and decouple allowing the player to hit them.

That's a pretty good one! I'll add it to the OP.

posted a message on Commands are broken and dead in 1.13

I found the changes in the command to be quite unnecessary. I mean seriously, what do we get from disabling numerical gamemode to letter.

    Sometimes, i don't understand Mojang.

'/gamemode 1' means nothing to a person who knows nothing about commands.
'/gamemode creative' immediatly tells you what's going on and what that command will do. It doesn't just streamline commands by losing a lot of the bulk the system has, it also makes commands more generalized and accesible to both new and veteran map creators.

Again, there is literally no difference. Before or after.

You seem to be missing the entire point of the suggestion. The Twitcher attaches itself to a player. it does not replace the Player, it does not transform the Player into a Twitcher. Of course PLayers will still be recognizable as Players, and Twitchers as Twitchers.

Confusing a Player for a Twitcher would be about as likely as confusing a Player for a Creeper, they're two completely distinct entities, in shape, movement, behaviour and color.

posted a message on The problem with the Mo' Creatures mod

Mastermined, do you think I'm over reacting or what?

I think you are. No mod or mod author is preventing Mojang from implementing what they want to implement in their game.

Are you seriously saying that anyone who becomes a twitcher will be that deformed?

Please reread the OP. People don't turn into Twitchers. The Twitcher is a parasite that attaches itself to Minecraft players. It doesn't reshape itself to the player, it will never be able to truly imitate the Minecraft player anyways.

posted a message on The problem with the Mo' Creatures mod

The Horses in Vanilla Minecraft were actually made/perfected by Dr Zhark. That's why he was credited, he joined the Mojang team to help them implement and balance horses, because they felt the Mo'Creatures horses were so well built.

Nothing is stopping Mojang from implementing what they want to implement. Even the Turtle thing all comes down to Jeb_'s personal tastes. If they really want to add turtles, it doesn't matter in the slightest Mo'Creatures already has them. Same with any other mob Mo'Creatures adds.

What would this be useful for? I can't really think of any good use for a code based lock system for redstone, that can't ready be done using either levers or comparators.

    A simple skin change.

Minecraft players don't look like twitching humanoids with deformed limbs, that crawl on hands and feet instead of walking regularly.

That's like saying I can fool people that I'm a cow when I swap my skin to that of a cow.

posted a message on Oil in Minecraft

Nah, it's water. It looks like you're either playing the Bedrock version of Minecraft or using some kind of shader. The water is shaded darker than it should be, making it appear like oil.

I still thinking that we have too human-model mobs, and the twitcher should have another less-humanoid model.

It is not supposed to be as humanoid as it appears in this picture. I just reskinned a Zombie since I suck at modelling new mobs. The real Twitcher would still be vaguely Humanoid, but a lot less player-like. Because it's supppused to be a poor imitation, a mockery of what a real Minecraft player looks like.

posted a message on Commands are broken and dead in 1.13
    Quote from Ptolemy2002»

You don't need to do it every time a variable is referenced, either. Just make it so that it converts when you change the command and save that value. That way, hen the command gets to run again, the conversion won't have to take place again. Just grab the value from your original conversion.

It's interesting how you're simultanously advocating vor streamlining and simplyfying commands as much as possible for efficiency's sake but also keep suggesting unnecessary bloat like this that would only hamper and slow down the system for those people who can actually learn the commands regardless of case sensitivity.

Or just use the Tab key and have Minecraft correct it for them, but whatever what you're suggesting is totally and completely necessary and not convoluted at all.
