Okay let's face it. The mobs are easy. All you do is sword click them and they die. Another thing they only do is just take up health. What if mobs did more than that? What if mobs did much more than taking away health? What if mobs did much more than taking away health but changed something else as well? What if mobs did much more than taking away health but changed something else as well AND added more challenge to the game?
Don't panic everyone I got a great idea. It's the settings changing mob. Just take a wild guess... Anyone? How about you in the back! No? How about that guy next to you? No? Alright, you in the front? No? So yeah I take it no one wants to answer. I'll give you a hint. The hint in the thread title. Alright, NOW does anyone want to take a guess? How about that guy in the back again?
If you haven't guessed. The mob takes changes your settings when it hits you. What does this mob look like? It has the same body as a zombie or player but it wears different colored clothes and has actual eyes and not the black holes.
When this mob hits you. Your game settings get randomized. Your difficulty could change. Your render distance could change. Your resolution, GUI scale and shader settings would change. Solution? Don't let this mob touch you! This is a mob that adds more excitement and challenge to the game.
The villagers we have now are pretty boring. They just walk around, make a sound, walk around more and sometimes give you an okay trade. What would make them more interesting is decoy villagers.
They look like normal villagers so there is no way to tell which one is real and which is a decoy. You will only know which one the decoy is until you give him your emeralds in an attempted trade. Once you give the decoy your emeralds, the villager will not give you the item you tried to trade for and he will give an evil smile like this...
He will then disappear into smoke. The purpose of this is to add an interesting twist to villager trading and add some tensity to players who trade with them. This makes villagers less boring.
It's not very hard to play the game and just hit every stone or ore block with your pickaxe over and over... There could be something to change that. Around every 150th time the pickaxe hits stone, the pickaxe can get stuck.
You have two options: you can either A.) leave the pickaxe where it is (it might just look funny and be another way of getting rid of a pickaxe you don't care about. Or B.) Try to click as fast as you can to get the pickaxe out again.
It's a bit costly because when you're pulling the pickaxe, you can't do anything else at that time which adds suspense if any hostile mobs are near you. This could also be useful in pvp in some sort of minigame that involves mining stone faster than others.
Negative currency is the dumbest idea I have ever heard. Why would anybody spend it and give away more positive money when they can just throw it away?
well if you don't want to use it then just don't use it... No one is making you use it.
I don't see this as that bad of an idea. It might be something interesting if you have way too many emeralds sitting around and need some balance for that.....
I think just about everyone here thought of this idea at least once, but don't worry all! Because I'm gonna post it for everyone!
You can rationalize it any way you want but emeralds can be pretty overpowered. Especially when a villager is selling something cheap. Yes emerald ore is kinda rare but once you find extreme hills, then you have it.
Negative emeralds are something to counter act the normal ones. They work as negative currency. So if a villager wants to sell a lamp post at 6 emeralds and have you have too much, just give the villager one negative emerald have 7 normal emeralds and the balance still comes out at 6.
here is what they look like.
These new emeralds come in ores like the original ones, but have red spots instead of green ones, a bit like the old ruby ore. The negative emerald ore is as common as somewhere between iron and gold.
I got a pretty wicked good idea here. it's to make ingots out of anything you can collect in the game!!
heres some examples
creeper egg ingot
ice ingot
ink sac ingot
how you make some of these is fill all 9 craft slots in the craft table to make these but because some of those craft recipes are taken there could be different ones instead. if anyone has more ideas of ingots to put in this post plz give them
woooooooooow like ive never heard about the almighty search bar. I wanna make my own input on boats not some other idiot with a different opinion. no one cares about the search bar
Yup. Nobody cares about the search bar, except for all those people that actually do. Which is a lot of people. Maybe one day you might see a nice lock on your thread and think "oh THAT'S why people talk about the search button!" I really don't think you of all people earned the right to say "people need to stop worrying about the lag" if you have no knowledge of the game's engine...
Edit: did you just seriously compare your boat idea to free the beasts? I don't think I need to go any further.
Well lets see, I read the first paragraph and got bored...
That doesn't concern anyone. Your first post screams "I'm angry about something, and I'm taking that out on this thread" like you're trying to "dig into" the OP. You also had the option of not posting at all.
*makes diamond axe*
*cuts down some wooden logs until the 2/3 durability mark*
*breaks it down and turns into a pickaxe*
*mines some obsidian and other blocks for a while till the 1/3 durability mark*
*breaks it down for 1 diamond and turns it into a jukebox*
Yeah... I think Notch or Jeb would've added something like this if it was a good idea, and this idea has been brought up a hundred times. No wait, more than that.
I know there is optifine, but it still wouldn't hurt for some optimizations to exist in the vanilla game and make performance better. The idea is basically that chunks you can't see completely don't get rendered at all and will only appear when you get a view of them, so the entire map is not rendered even though you can't see it and cpu use isn't stressed so much.
