So with the big nerf of Spring Water, what exactly is its function? I'm probably wrong on this, but without it being able to be moved (without Buildcraft) or having special properties, isn't it practically useless?
I'm pretty sure it's Mo' creatures because it happens everytime I come near a animal or monster added by this mod
If you have Not Enough Items/Too Many Items, CJB's Mods and Mo' Creatures, it will cause the black water no cloud bug. You have to choose to either let CJB's Mods go or NEI/TMI.
That's wrong with my fragment of forbidden knowledge ? Every time I try to research it, it does not give me theory but other fragment of forbidden knowledge
You've probably exhausted all further knowledge on that category.. There are only three forbidden things you can learn about, and one hidden one that requires a special item to research.
Researching zombie brains let's you learn how to create a Brain-in-a-jar, the final piece of Forbidden Knowledge.
I'd have to agree with Maximo_Artorio, but if it can be turned off through config, then I don't mind.
To me, tainted land should feel like an extremely dangerous experiment. Something that could spawn because of the player's carelessness, or desire for knowledge. Tainted land should feel like an abomination to nature, something that just isn't natural, which is why I think it shouldn't occur naturally, but created by the player.
I had an idea that pertains to the Eldritch Monolith, so I'll put spoiler tags.
Would it be possible for the player to make their own Eldritch locking mechanism? Or perhaps being able to open and close the Monoliths, since at the moment they can only be opened. It probably doesn't sound too useful, but how else did the Eldritch lock the monoliths?
The discovery page for the Sword of the Four Winds' name is confused with the Pickaxe of the Core discovery, and the Pickaxe of the Core recipe shares the Sword of the Four Winds' recipe image.
Yep, seen it all. I like how the tainted areas look, so I'd intentionally pollute the Minecraft environment. Somehow making a profit off of that corruption makes it even better.
So based on Direwolf's video, the tainted area is supposed to do bad things to the world. But say you wanted to infest the land with it. Would there be any point to it? Could you gain anything from it?
It looks like there is tainted research, so maybe that is some indication.

That would be cool. Call it Containted Taint. It doesn't spread, but doesn't really benefit the player either besides aesthetics.

But that's just me.

You can also use a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch. I'm not sure if the Pickaxe's quality matters, but I'd use Diamond just in case.
