It must just be an error on your Minecraft. The cauldron looks fine to me.
It actually only changes when you interact with it... I'll reupload and see if it fixes... -

I think they are talking about the bonemeal nerf from 1.5 where it went from taking one meal to grow crops to 7 then down to 2-3 and went from 1 meal for a tree (so long as it was in optimal conditions) to 3 then I think it takes 3-7 now... not sure on the exact numbers for trees...
But that would make sense -
May 10, 2013LynnNexus posted a message on Snapshot 13w19a Ready for TestingI love it.. I said last snapshot it would be nice if Charcol had it's own texture, this snapshot we get separate charcole textures... EPIC WIN FOR ME! XDPosted in: News
Also, YAY colors! I can't wait to play around with the mules!

Its model looks far from steves.I think its a redstone monster because there are redstone block textures at the bottom of its body.
No... it's someone crouching while holding a redstone block. It's the same model, it's just his head is the "hat" area so his head looks extra big and he's hiding behind blocks that obscure his shoulder. I'm pretty sure it's just the person they keep talking about
AAAAAAAnnd I totally forgot what I came here to say... Cauldron has the wrong texture on the sides... It's pretty funny actually... cus the texture it has... Is the compass... -

The "Butcher" villager can sell a saddle for 6-7 emeralds. In case you missed it, villagers sell saddles. They're not *only* from dungeons.
As for the armor, I would be happy if, by extension, the blacksmith villager -- or maybe a new horse wrangler / rancher villager, since the blacksmith has so many trades already -- was made to sell horse armor as well.
Ok... So... I just tested this... that if flippin awesome. I didn't know that the butcher sold saddles... none of mine ever have! but Hey, I love it. Thank you VERY much for pointing this out.
Jebzay~ Um I'm pretty sure that they mean that carrots and potatoes always give you one when they break unless they are fully grown where they give you more than one, if they aren't giving you more than one when you grow them, you aren't benefiting from farming them. So no, it wouldn't be a feature. -

Or that since they imported a lot of the framework directly from Mo's Creatutre author, there was saome amount of coding magic cut n paste involved. Why take the time to remove an entire part with the risk of making the entire compiling of the coded module fall to it's knees, when you could just leave it like that and use a simple switch to avoid generating that part? This is just like in our real life bodies we have old genetic code in our DNA which has no usage anymore whatsoever, it's just there. *maybe* it will serve again one day. But it probably won't.
I think the undead horses "skins only" are exactly like that. They thought about adding the, chose otherwise, but did the logical thing: not waste programming time on fully removing it, after all ,who knows if it could serve one day, right? So they simply turned it off. Having worked as a coder, this is a very common coding practice.
First, the textures are there. It's reason enough to -hope- for a hostile mob, people love them damn hostile mobs.
Second, In mo's creatures There are 96 horse skins -before- the undead horse -starts- and goes for another 86 undead horses... then another 13 zebra horses. I think that's reason enough to assume that if they had intended on removing the two remaining undead horses from the beginning they would have...
Edit Note: there are 7 base skins in the released horses and 5 overlays, for the horses proper ignoreing mules, donkeys and the two currently unused undead skins so the code is different, it has to be because there are no overlays in Mo's
Third, If they did start and then change their minds that means that even if they don't put them in now... there is always a chance it will happen later... I'm still allowed to be hopeful that something I think would be awesome can be added to the game I love when they do add things that people beg for... I mean... that's what the horses were in the first place... something people asked for... and now here they are...
So I guess what I'm saying is don't spit in my cheerios. Just because the texture is there doesn't mean they are going to do it... but it means it's a hell of a lot more likely than if it wasn't there at all like the unicorns. -

Mo's Creatures have Undead Horses.
While the new Minecraft horses come from Mo's Creatures collaborative work, they don't include undead horses.
Um...
There are skins for the two undead horses included in the snapshot but unused and they follow the same pattern as the released horses. It is not unreasonable to hope that not only the undead horses will be included from this information but that they may have horse related drops. -

He was talking about smp and i simply stated that it is going to be a huge disappointment on smp.
Excuse me allow me to reiterate myself in a more precise manor.
The original post said "server" while you said "smp" Yes, they are Technically the same thing, but I have noticed that most people say "smp" when they mean "survival multiplayer with pvp" which is clearly what you meant. Being that pvp can be turned off, and something not all players will partake in even if it's available, along with the fact that there are servers out there that allow pvp but not taking your fellow's things upon their death, it is a distinction that should be noted. If he thinks that he is going to be able to show it off for a protracted amount of time he either assumes he will not loose it in pvp (weather because he doesn't partake or because he thinks he's that good) or that simply being the person who finds it will make him quite popular and freak his friends out.
EITHER WAY, not everyone plays the -kind- of smp that you are talking about and clearly assuming every server is. The mind crack server and the hermit craft server are both "gentlemanly" servers that play in survival multiplayer, are vastly popular and well known where that action would be deeply frowned on at best and probably would get you in trouble. -

May 2, 2013LynnNexus posted a message on Snapshot 13w18a Ready For Testing; 1.5.2 Now LiveI wonder if theres any chance they could make the charcol and coal actually different, like with separate images... especially if they aren't going to make charcol blocks too...Posted in: News
Oh well. I'm excited to see what coal blocks do, not particularly happy about the armor and saddles being something you have to find but Eh.
Though I do wish that the hay block would be a wheat storage block as well as it's own block, it would make it more useful, being that horses are going to be rare as hell.
Edit: Oh and please don't ever compare saddles to record disks... Because you can make disks if you can trap a skelly and a creeper... They are really more of a "rare drop" than a "dungeon only" item... I really hope now that the saddles and armors aren't craftable that they will be a rare drop from the undead horses. Cus that would be tits. -
May 1, 2013LynnNexus posted a message on Minecon 2013 Set For the US East Coast, Details To FollowPosted in: NewsQuote from IronWill1991
Honestly, Richmond or Baltimore would be the best place for minecon because it's in dead center of East Coast. If it is in Florida, people from New England and New York will have to travel all the way to Florida. Same thing for Floridians if minecon is in New York.
>.> Very... very faulty logic here. It really only takes a few states into the consideration of where the con should be. If cons were planned to be convenient for "everybody" Kansas city would be the con capital of the US. As it is not... Clearly the reasoning for chosing either Florida or New York is because they have dense populations and reasonable local attractions. It's the reason Las Vegas was chosen. No one could pretend to suggest it's centralized for more than the pacific southwest, and even then it's not.
Everyone wishes minecon was going to be close/closer to them, I wish it was going to be in the midwest because if it was close enough I could drive there. But it's not gonna happen. If they are looking between Florida and New York then there is very little chance our cries for it to be nearer or further one way or the other will be accounted for because there will be cries for it to be literally everyplace. -

Apr 25, 2013LynnNexus posted a message on 1.5.2 Pre-Release and...a Snapshot Too?Do we have a crafting recipe for hay yet? I'm still really hoping they'll make it a wheat block... that would be -so- flippin nice. Also, you added hardened clay... >.> Is this just going to be a decorative block all by it's lonesome or is it going to have purpose? I feel like this screams "Part of a recipe" but I have no clue what it would be used for... >.< And you made no slabs or stairs of it... I honestly think you should reframe the thread as just looking for a storage block, with a couple extra Ideas if you must.
