you need to make the colormap in /assets/minecraft/minecraft/colormap/foliage.png entirely white. Make sure it is foliage.png your coloring! Then you need to make the original texture(s) the way you want them to look. For birch and spruce, you need to use mcpatcher, as it is impossible in vannilla minecraft.
Using mcpatcer, make a 256x256 image in /assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/colormap and call it birch.png if you want birch, and spruce.png for spruce. Use the same method, color them white, and make the original texture how you want it to look.
Make sure you are patching with mcpatcher correctly! You DO NOT patch the texture pack, you patch minecraft. Open mcpatcher, and click patch!

Oh, I need to edit Minecraft's assets folder, not the resource pack's. I thought about that, but then I saw the READ_ME_I_AM_VERY_IMPORTANT, so I thought that couldn't work. That, and the fact that in .minecraft/assets, there is no folder labeled "minecraft"; there's only folders for icons, languages, and audio. It was the resource packs that actually had /assets/minecraft, so that's where I tried making a blank colormap for spruce trees. Even if I could find where I'm supposed to put the colormap, I haven't figured out how to make such a file through MCPatcher yet, which I assume is what I'm supposed to do, since doing it manually would just get undone the next time I ran Minecraft.

Okay, I have tried all of this, and I'm still getting green spruce/pine/whatever leaves instead of the pure white I'm supposed to have. Why are these leaves particularly difficult to modify, anyway?
How do you tell what arrow you'll fire when using Elemental Arrows? And how do you change which arrow you'll use when you fire? I couldn't find how to do either in the OP or the zip folder.
The reason that the blocks/items are white is because the texture file isn't being read correctly. Inside of your Minecraft.jar there should be a folder. Inside of that folder there should be two png files. One named "DwarfCraftBlocks.png" and the other called "DwarfCraftItems.png" if they have been moved/renamed (caps does matter) then it will give the white texture that you see. Is that what they are called? Remember caps does matter and it has to be exact.
For the record, it's DwarvenCraftBlocks/Items, not Dwarf.
I've been playing Minecraft with this mod for a little while now with no problems. Today, however, all of the blocks this mod makes are completely white all of a sudden. They still function right, but something screwed up the texture. I just re-installed the mod with no luck. I didn't do anything to my files, so I have no idea what the sudden problem is.
When I'm playing Minecraft, every few seconds, everything will stop for .5-1 seconds, messing up my timing and generally annoying the crap out of me. I hit F3 to look at the performance graph to notice that at these times, the graph spikes higher than than the full screen of my computer. I reduced visibility to Tiny, graphics to Fast, performance to Max FPS, and restored the screen to its regular window size. Nothing. I tried closing a few background programs, all other open programs, and went through the entire pinned guide on this forum, taking a visit to the NVIDIA control panel and tweaking some things. No luck. I used task manager to monitor any spikes in CPU or RAM usage, but there were none. Here's a screenshot with the graph and its spike.
Thing was, this started happening about a month ago. I barely played Minecraft over the summer between school years, and before summer, the game was running just fine. I have no idea what could be causing these constant freezing spikes.
I think it's whining about something to do with ToolUtils, but I double checked and reinstalled ToolUtils, still get a black screen/crash. When it crashes, I only see it for half a second before it closes, so I can't give you a crash report, but here's ModLoader.txt (without page stretching <_<):

Anyway, I'm finding out that when fairies spawn around my base, I can occasionally find a flower where one of my cobblestone blocks used to be. They're eating my stones and making flowers in their place?
Before you check out this mod, just one quick announcement:
It's obvious that the addition of beds into minecraft is going to put a lot of immature ideas into everyone's minds considering all of the female-related mods I've done, but please don't ask me about it. I'm not going to put sex-related activities into minecraft. That should answer all of your questions right there.
Not quite, this made me think of having two bed relatively near each other (same room, neighboring rooms, whatever), and whenever you use the bed, you'll find Charlotte in her own bed too. Just to add a bit of realism in the game. You wake up, stop by Charlotte's room, and the two of you go off to go slay things or whatever you want to do.
Before anyone has criticism about my idea, I haven't used a bed in Minecraft yet since I don't expect to update my game for a few weeks since I have a crap ton of mods installed. I don't know exactly how the process of using them goes, or if they heal hearts from rest, or anything else. This is just an idea that popped up in my head right this moment and I wanted it out there before I forgot about it.
Very nice! While the creepy cave sounds kinda fit how the whole cave feels, it just didn't sound right. It just sounded like...I don't even know. Anyway, thanks for more fitting cave sounds!
Very nice mods! Whirlwinds make me think of sandstorms (masses of wind that can damage you if you're not wearing a helmet to block the sand (or have craftable goggles)), hurricanes (can drown you while you're in them), and even a leaf blower tool that creates mini whirlwinds with the sole purpose of clearing leaves. Just a few ideas if you're ever short on them(as if).
