No, but really. Joke's aside, this mod is very useful.

Thanks for doing it, someone had to do it sooner or later :D

im having trouble installing this :( i am using 1.8-FML8.0.20.1023-1.8 i only have your 1.8 mod installed and it loads up the game before it shows the "Mojang" thing then crashs. please help

I am sorry, but I can't help without a crash report.

Please start your 1.8-Forge instance with the mod, let it crash and then upload the "logs/fml-client-latest.log" to pastebin or similar.

Small copy&paste from the main post:

2.3 might be the most important update you guys will ever see:

You don't need to have it on a server anymore for the sub-emotes to sync up with other players.

It natively supports ALL the sub-emotes by default, without increasing the loading time AT ALL!

I'm still working on the 1.8 release. It's not yet ready, because Forge decided to mess up the renderer...

Alright! The 1.8 release is out :)

I am probably going with a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives License.

I already changed it over on the Curseforge project, gotta change it up here now :P

Same for the Github in a few seconds.

    I have a very interesting question though, @TheJackiMonster ...

Why are you setting every Entity-Renderer to a RenderPlayer one?

This is not only breaking support for entity-radars on minimap mods (JourneyMap, VoxelMap, ...) but can also crash the game or like in @MCFUser118713 's case the actual rendering completely.

Also, since I edited your code anyway for my own purposes, I see that you have all the rendering VERY clustered and not (like in GuiIngameForge's code) split upon different methods.
Neither do you trigger events for the stuff.

I have no idea if all that changed in the 1.8 build, but I'm talking about the 1.7.10 one, since I probably never go to 1.8 anyway (and a lot of other people shouldn't either, but w/e)

posted a message on VoxelMap [1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10/1.9.4/1.8.9/1.7.10/1.6.4] - a minimap and worldmap
I traced down that it is the Sword Art Online UI-Mod and I'm also getting some problems with JourneyMap.

It indeed appears that the loadedEntityList is null... However, I can't find something in the SAO-UI code that would set it to null (or set it at all?)

//EDIT: Yup, traced it down completely.
The mod is applying a custom RenderPlayer to every entity that is being found, to add some nice healthbars next to their heads.
Apparently the loadedEntityList has problems with that. Gotta check into it haha

Console spam with this, when I have "Show Hostiles" in the radar settings enabled:

Wanna do proper NPE checks there or completely remove the

    please? :P

I agree on that one. SAO was not magic-based.
However: Alfheim Online was, and since ALO uses the same UI as SAO, it does fit in pretty well in my opinion.

Magic refers to a system in ALfheim Online that allows players to cast spells for a variety of effects, including attacking other players and healing allies.

I can probably shrink the bars down a bit, if they really bother that much.
It was just one day of work, I didn't expect everything to look perfect :D

but SAO didn't have magic unlike Log horizon which is strange for Rpgs lol but how are ytou doing the bars? will it be minimalistic?

It... Is minimalistic already, as long as you enabled it through "/amuicfg" :P

    and

Next step: Adding the Experience bar, then I probably got most of it covered...

Lol I had the Ars magica mod as well and I didn't even notice that any of that was gone lol..... Did you share the code changes with him so he could make adjustments?

    No, not yet.
Still need to implement all of the event-callbacks in the actual mod.

Even though I'm currently playing around with custom GUI elements to have SAO-styled Mana / Burnout / Magic-XP as well :)

    Yooo!
Nice mod man, really awesome :)
    Thanks for doing it!

Though, I noticed some problems with other mods that add things to the HUD...

    For example, Ars Magica 2.
I can't see ANY of the AM2 HUD stuff.

Would you mind having a look into allowing stuff like that to the HUD?
That would be damn awesome <3

//EDIT: Nevermind, found out why they are not being drawn properly...

Since you are not forwarding the Events for RenderGameOverlayEvent, other mods that use that for the GUI rendering are not properly drawing their GUI.

However, with a bit of magic and modification of your mod, I managed to get this as a result:

Hows Alternative Energy going? seems kinda dead with the last modified change happening 6 months ago.

jk-5 and I are both rather sorry to announce it, but it is actually true...
We (more or less) abandoned the mod.
None of us really has the time or pleasure to continue on it.

The source is still up on our Github, so if anyone wants to continue work on it - Do so.

I personally think about getting into Minecraft Modding again, though a lack of ideas is included.
I have one idea in mind, that was actually a rewrite from a mod back in 1.2.5.

Other than that, I hereby want to thank every single one of you that played with the mod.
Not only those that played with the snapshots of Alternative Energy, but also those, who played with Power Boxes.

    You guys rock :)
