    posted a message on ctrl+space changes my keyboard to chinese

    Mine does not do that.

    I'm going to make a few guesses... let me know how close I get...

    1. You're playing a modded MC game.

    2. You haven't tried playing in vanilla to see if that too has this problem.

    3. If you drag all mods from the /mods folder to your desktop and play your current version it also will not change to chinese.

    If the above are all yes, add the mods back in a few at a time until you find the cause of your problem. Once you find the mod causing this post please report it to that mod's forum. Think about the next guy.

    posted a message on OptiFine HD C6 (FPS Boost, Dynamic Lights, Shaders and much more)

    I can't download Optifine at all because of "Redirection errors" when i click on the adfly links with Firefox and Chrome (And i'm not about to use the dreaded internet explorer). Can i please have a direct link for Optifine 1.12.2 Light? My PC is old and weak and i need as much FPS possible. I do get stable FPS without it but i prefer it for a full 60. Thanks.

    What did you click at AdF.ly? In the upper right corner is a timer that eventually becomes [SKIP AD]. The ONLY thing you ever click at AdF.ly is that [SKIP AD]. There is also a mirror link that bypasses the AdF.ly link. Please use the mirror sparingly... sp614x earns a few tenths of a cent for each AdF.ly click. He earns far beyond what he gets,

    posted a message on Inventory File?

    It's possible with NBTExplorer.

    I'd cut my inventory to nothing (including armor), open the old game, copy the inventory (under player) then open the original and replace the entire inventory (delete), you can also delete/rename inventory1 to inventory.

    It is possible to add one item but I have trouble every time I try. I often get a conflict and overwrite someting I want in the csane slot.

    CLOSE ALL MineCraft games before using NBT and remember to save all changes.

    I suggest you make a copy of your current game to the desktop or somewhere else for insurance, first.

    posted a message on help. corrupted...

    It will not recreate any changes you had made to your world but...

    WorldEdit-Forge (or versions other than Forge) can plug the holes...

    Create a copy of your world (Cookieo54's world copy). Go to the NW corner where one of the gaping holes resides and right click with your WE wand. Go to the SE corner where one of the gaping holes resides and left click with your WE wand. Type //expand 100 100 u. Type //copy followed by //schematic save gapingHole1.

    Close the copy of your world.

    Open your original world. Go to the exact coordinates (X,Y.and Z) of where you copied (probably the SE corner). Type //schematic load gapingHole1, then //paste (It may take a minute, patience). The hole should be what it was before the glitch. There is probably a similar thing that can be done with MCEdit, I am not familiar with that mod.

    Now how I ensure I don't suffer a similar fate. Before I start a new session I (right click) copy my current world from my saves folder to my desktop... even before that I drag the copy currently on my desktop to a new folder I added to my .minecraft folder (/tempStorage - overwrite). I have 2 backups of my world before I make any changes. The world as it was when I start and my world as it was the last time I started. It's easy with WE to create gaping holes when I flatten out bedrock. I dig down to Y-1 and run the following macro:

    flatFloor macro
    //limit 2000000
    //pos1
    //pos2
    //expand 5 up
    //outset -h 250
    //replace bedrock stone
    //pos1
    //pos2
    //shift 1 u
    //limit 25000

    The last 4 lines have eliminated that occurance (knock wood). If you need more help send me a PM.

    I've tried that, but end up with a 'Configure Build' error without any detailed message.

    EDIT : nvm, IDEA puts the compile org.gson thing into dependencies node. After removing it, the 'setupDecompWorkspace' runs nicely.

    EDIT 2 : After running for 2m 59s, it fails at 'Execute task action 3/4 for :decompileMc' because it can't 'Resolve artifact fastutil.jar'

    EDIT 3 : Sorry for the mass edit, but after restart my IDE and re-run setupDecompWorkspace via console, the build is successful ! But I haven't the dependencies net.minecraft & org.lwjgl.
    Should I download them myself ? If yes, where I should get the minecraft dependency ?

    EDIT 4 : After deleting & recreating the project, everything is working fine. Thanks for the help !

    Way to keep at it, think about the problem, and try different things until you find a solution.

    posted a message on What Happened Here?

    I heard your vanilla statement... that said if you have undisturbed copies of your world you can with Forge and WorldEdit take a snapshot (//copy, //schematic save "name") go to the current world and //schematic load "name", //paste to restore your current world. Once restored remove Forge and WE and you have restored your vanilla world.

    I often find discrepancies between Amidst and my active world. I create a copy go to the same coordinates and so far every time the copy has the missing village, temple, or whatever. You can copy from bedrock to the highest elevation and paste, restoring your world to what it should be without the glitch.

    Need help? PM me.

    posted a message on Looking for old mod/requesting: Smelt gravel into fast paths

    Ever heard of honor or doing what's right?

    I spent twenty years of my life hopefully ensuring it lasts a little longer!

    I'll NOT compromise my beliefs for a silly game or any individual. The odds of anyone else influencing me to do something I feel is wrong are astronomical!

    I have discussed this with simo_415 and he has given me permission to provide old SPC versions to anyone that asks.

    That would be a requirement for me to accept a mod from someone other than the author.

    @ eogen;

    On behalf of everyone, for Ellian, thank you.

    @ Geethebluessky;

    SPC has a /setspeed that works with walk and fly, Iit might wilth monecart too, no promices.

    Follows is a link to I think SPC 1.2.5 (it may be an command list), if not 1.2.5 send me a PM and I'll add it to mediafire.

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/d8b3y6fecbjttka/SPC.pdf

    I have the authors permission to do this.

    Lou

    If you code at all, MoreCommands (1.12.2) /speed command works with fly, minecart, and walk. You may be able to decode it and adapt it to SPC. I can be of no help doing that, sorry.

    posted a message on 1.9 PvP Haters Don't Make Sense

    The name of the game is Minecraft.

    If it had been Combatcraft they would not have my money!

    I think that clarifies my stance.

    The mobs IMO were just a distraction so mining/exploring didn't become boring or to easy. Now I find the combat disturbing!

    I spent 20 years of my life playing the combat game with real lives on the line!

    For me, playing at combat is not entertaining!!!

    posted a message on I cant find the stronghold (idk if it belongs here but idk where to post it)
    Quote from Sharpe103»

    There's no need to quote.

    What version are you playing?

    There are at least three strongholds. Since 1.9, there is a limit of 128, so there may be more in newly-generated chunks (but not in chunks generated before 1.9).

    You may have to do some digging to find the stronghold.

    If you're playing the newest version and don't mind turning on cheats, you can click Open to LAN and Turn on Cheats, then enter the command "gamemode 3" (without quotes) which will allow you to fly through the ground and see everything around. The command "gammode 1" will return you to survival.

    Quote from Yazoy»

    1. as i said before i've stopped playing from 1.7 which is like 3 years ago? i think.

    2. didnt understand anything from your explanation, make a copy of my world and see what if its in my copy? no idea how to use world edit that good, only thing i remember doing is //wand and //set

    @ Sharpe103; I wasn't aware of "gamemode 3", thanks I learned something today.
    @ Yazoy; step one is to do as Sharpe suggested, if there is no stronghold PM me and I'll gladly help with what's needed beyond that, provided you ensure the stronghold is indeed not there.

    I quite often find differences between what Amidst says should be there and what is actually in the world. SO far, everytime I make copy and look, it is in the copy. Odds are good there are things missing from the copy too, but I only care about the world I've already invested time into making my own.
    WE Schematic copy/save and load/paste are very easy to do. There is probably a similar utility in MCEdit.
    Good luck
    Lou

    The 3 closest stronghold coordinates are in the spoiler... Please be aware these are aproximate and not exact.

    Morning... it isn't all that uncommon.

    Make a copy of your world and see if it's in the copy (an xray mod would be benefcial too, for both worlds).

    If it is, you can with WorldEdit-Forge copy and paste it into your world.

    If you need help with WE, PM me.
