Are you talking about moving the map to the PC to play it in the Windows 10 version of Minecraft or the Java Edition?
What you are supposed to be able to do is take the Xbox One Edition map and import it into the new version of Minecraft on the Xbox One. Next you create a Realms account from the Xbox One and upload the map to the Realm. Finally you log into your Realm account on your PC and download the world from that. It should be an MCWORLD file that you would double-click on and it will automatically install to your Windows 10 version of Minecraft.
NOTE: This will NOT work if you are using Minecraft: Java Edition
You can sign up for a free trial of Realms and cancel it after you get your world transferred, so no extra money out of your pocket. Just make sure you cancel your Realms subscription otherwise there is a monthly fee to use the service after your trial period ends.
Yes, you can create a realm that can be accessed by Minecraft on Windows 10 (not the Java edition...) Xbox One, Android and iOS. This will also include the Nintendo Switch as well in the near future.
Select the one that says "Get Realms for Minecraft" NOT the one that says "Get Realms for Minecraft: Java Edition"
One important thing to note: The beta versions of Minecraft cannot connect to realms. So if you or any of your friends are in the beta program you will need to opt out of it and go back to the regular release version in order to connect to the realm.
Open the Xbox Live application in Windows and sign out of your current account. Then log in to the Xbox Live application with the account you want to use. Start Minecraft and you should be able to select that account.
Create another Xbox Live account (just the free Silver account) and log into that on your PC. You will have to add your new account as a friend on your Xbox One in order to play together. You have to keep the Gold account on the Xbox One.
There is a world converter that mostly works, but may be hit-or-miss. It's worth a try to see if it will convert your world correctly and let you continue playing. Be warned though that if you had redstone contraptions in your Java world that they will probably not work in the Bedrock Engine version. Here is a video by AntVenom that explains the conversion process and where to find it:
You have to use Pocket Edition texture packs with this version. Do a quick google search for MCPE Texture Packs and you will find tons of them available for free. You should just be able to download the texture MCPACK file, double-click on it and it will automatically install for you.

You might be thinking about Paul Soares Jr. "Man vs Minecraft"
I don't recall him using mods, but I didn't watch all of them either. Hopefully this will at least point you in the right direction.

Do you have an Xbox Live Gold account or just the free Silver account?

Go into the Xbox application on the phone and sign out. Sign back in with his actual Xbox Live e-Mail address and password.

No, the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft is not backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

My understanding is that they are going to appear in the Marketplace within the game.
