Ok, I created a folder named mods and put Biomes O' Plenty in it. I deleted the world and generated a new one, started the server, and it didn't work. Here's the Multiplayer Server log:
Try deleting the "world" folder and regenerating the world. This happens a lot to me and it's because I usually generate the server at least once before actually getting the mod installed.
Leave everything else, just delete the world folder. Assuming you are starting a fresh server that is. If that doesn't work, set add biomes to default world to false and delete the world folder and regenerate the world again.
Okay, I've seen a lot of posts with this error, but I can never find any solutions. I can't seem to get Biomes O' Plenty to work on a server at all. It works fine in single player, but in multiplayer, none of the biomes generate, as it just generates vanilla biomes, and when I try to spawn mod items in creative, they don't work and disappear. I have done every single thing that it has said to do. I've changed level-type to BIOMESOP, set add biomes to default world to true, added the forge files to Minecraft.jar, but nothing has worked. I am on a mac, using the latest version of Biomes O' Plenty, and currently using Minecraft forge 0.842. My server properties are listed below:
You're going to need to give more information than that. "Doesn't work" is uselessly vague. What's wrong?
When I say it doesn't work I mean that none of the biomes generate. I'm stuck with vanilla ones. I also can't access any of the BoP items without them disappearing or not functioning.
Hello, I joined your server and I think it's awesome how you got Biomes O' Plenty to multiplayer. I was going to ask you what your server setup is and what you configured to allow the mod on the server and have it generate. I have the latest version of the mod on a mac, but I can not get it to work on my server. Every time I start it up, the biomes don't generate, and it just gives me the vanilla ones. I also can't use any of the items in the mod. I have BIOMESOP for level type in server properties, I have add biomes to default world enabled in the config, I've practically done everything it says you have to do. I've searched my problem countless times, and all the threads with people of the same problem never get solved. What am I not doing? Can you help me?
You can find that setting in the server.properties file. It's still labeled as Level Type, so just change that to BIOMESOP and start a new world. Things should generate properly for you then.
I tried that, but all I got were the items from the mod, no biomes
Since Most might ignore you since this is very simple and warns you when you first go in game. You need to change your World Type when creating the world.
I know. It works in single player when I change the world type to Biomes O' Plenty, but how do I change the world type for my server?
I put this mod on my 1.6.2 minecraft multiplayer server and it gives me all the items from the mod, but it doesn't actually generate any of the biomes. I have my level type at BIOMESOP and add biomes to default world on true. does it have to with the generator settings?
Hello people! I was wondering if you think that they should put moles in minecraft! The way this will work is if you are digging, you can sometimes come across tunnel systems and burrows that are occupied by moles. You will sometimes be able to tell where a tunnel is by mole hills or holes on the surface. They could have a chance to create mole hills all over your yard and on occasions, your crops. This would not happen all the time, and if you get sick of it, find a way to stop the mole. Underground, the moles could continue digging tunnels or just wander around in them. You could also find one on the surface from time to time. Let me know if you think it is a good idea or not, and leave any suggestions if you want!
You know how pumpkins in Minecraft spawn and grow with a face in them? I had an idea that pumpkins could grow and spawn with no face, just be normal pumpkins, and then if you'd right-click on them with your sword equipped, it could then be a carved pumpkin, and could be worn, or turned into a jack-o-lantern! If you have any thing that would work better with the carving part please leave any suggestions and let me know if you think it is a good idea or not .
