I like the idea of the javelin as a sort of Pre-Bow weapon. The diamond spear sounds too overpowered (and heavy). Yes, you "can" lose it, but unless you are in the nether it would be unlikely. I suggest stopping it at steel, the range of the weapon and its versatility will make it more useful, but less powerful than the sword.
I know everyone is having trouble, but I'd like to pop in to suggest a rune. What I'm suggesting is a rune that when activated with move the user 3* tier forward in the direction the rune faces. This would not be used to pass through walls, but handy for travel across valleys and for certain other things.

I like to pop in every once in a while to bump this. It's a great Idea.

Think about it this way: if everybody had this mentality, bumping threads up to the top because they support the ideas inside, then we'd have HUNDREDS of threads constantly being bumped up to the top. Everybody loses.
This is why we're asking you, and others, to just stop bumping unless you have something to add, something to criticize, or whatever.

Why you want to join this server: As Notch is working on the SMP portion of minecraft I am looking for a RP server in which I can focus my talents in a public setting. I understand some people building towers, but I'd like to see a new world with the survival aspect added in. Personally I'm looking forward to a mode where you need multiple people to survive against the monsters. I'd like to join this server because of the RP and PVE/PVP elements.
What is your strengths (building, mining, farming etc): I'm a builder and farmer, I like planning multilevel structures for farming as well as replicating things like cathedrals and libraries. If you'd like something like this added to your server then I think I'd be a great help.
