    This should be easy, just have the signal coming from above the piston block, but make sure it doesn't intersect with the first pistons.

    posted a message on Extremely accurate 340 block range arrow cannon
    Sorry guys i couldn't record a video because minecraft was very glitchy when having fraps on. i'll give it another try later on. I made a new design that makes prepares the arrows automatically so you don't have to do the torch/redstone stuff manually.

    Here's the new download:

    where to put in the tnt?
    I'll upload a video later tonight, you should put the tnt in the the water BUT the 2 source blocks. You can activate the arrow system by putting a redstone torch next to it, then destroy the torch (there's now a constant pulse stuck) now destroy one redstonedust in the clock and put it back again very fast so the clock starts running. To stop the clock just destroy a piece of the clock. Then press the button to fire

    What? I figured to make an arrow cannon, which shoots up to 340blocks far (arrows land on the same height as they got fired from),
    Also, ALL of the arrows stayed within a 2x10 'landing pad', on average my shots contained about 150 arrows, meaning that 7.5 arrows landed on each block of the landing area. Ofcourse this would easily kill a player/mob, but due to the fact that there is not a single chance on seeing the enemy from 300+ blocks away, this is not very practical to fight enemies.

    Here are some of the coordinates measured during the testing of my cannon, i had to build a wall at certain distances to be able to calculate the cannon's full possibility, but this was too much of a trial and error method i decided to just take the full distance to the test. Here are the tests:
    x=length travelled in blocks
    y=heigth travelled in blocks

    Test 1: Full force, x=100, y=73 (at a distance of 100 blocks the arrows were still 73 blocks in the air)
    Test 2: Full force, x=200, y=98
    Test 3: Full force, x=290, y=49
    Test 4(without a wall to block the arrows at a certain distance): Full force, x=340, y=0(they landed on the ground)

    How?An amount of time ago, somebody showed me how to make arrow cannons more accurate, by rapidly having a dispenser shooting and directly infront of it having a normal piston to push the arrows in a small cluster(as seen in the images, spoiler below). So i started experimenting with this, and at first i discovered a great accuracy, but with a power of 7 TNT blocks my cannon wouldn't launch them any further than 30blocks, so i decided to add one more line of water to fill with tnt. As of my first shots with just 10 tnt blocks, i thought minecraft was glitching and making my arrows disappear. So to take it to the ultimate test i put a 50 blocks high wall 100 blocks away from the cannon. Because maybe it would be so powerful it would shoot that far. As i tested that, i noticed that my wall was too small as i found arrows behind it, i made it much higher and discovered the great power of this cannon. My test became bigger and bigger until i reached the unbelievable distance of 340 blocks. (I even had to delete an NPC village for the tests LOL)

    Images?Ofcourse! In the spoiler below you can pretty much find out all about how the cannon looks, and i'll put the download link at the end of this topic. (the other building next to the testing range is something else, ignore it)

    The cannon:

    Right before it fires the arrows:

    posted a message on [NEW] Awesome Sand Shooting Cannon
    This is the most basic semi-auto cannon you can make i think. Why would you let the tnt fall from such a heigth if you can also just push it in the frame one block above? Or why use sand as feeder when you can also have a cobblestone generator? Try innovating, making it better and more compact. And if you keep experimenting with tnt you'll get this:

    Add a piston to cut the pulse at one sec, timed with repeaters. :)

    I know alot of people think XBL version is gonna suck, but i think it's gonna be quite nice. Because with the xbox your machine isn't a problem. I know quite alot of friends who can't play minecraft because their computer can't handle it properly without lag.

    posted a message on Thoughts on texture packs and mods...
    I think they'll just make a small list of texture packs (not sure about mods) you can choose off. Possibly provided as an add-on. But even without mods and texturepacks i'm gonna buy it. To be honest i don't use a texture pack or mod when playing multiplayer. I don't know about playing mp on XBLA but If they would make us pay for mods/tp's that wouldn't be worth it for me.
