I like this, i'm interested. Website is killer. What's a guy like me have to do to get in the door? Tell me about your community, are you a mature server? Or is everyone 13? :P

A little about myself: I'm a dad of two kids who got me into minecraft, 32 years young. Mechanical designer by day. Looking for an active server that's not mod crazy! (although I DO love me some tinkers ;)).

Thanks for the compliment! I made the website from scratch. I work as a web developer.

It's a server for all ages. I myself am 18 but I'm probably the oldest. We have a few older teens and a few young teens. We try to stay mature, though. I've really only seen substantive discussions.

I'd love for you to give us a try!

    About Us

You know what you never see anymore? A server where you spawn in, walk outside, and build.

We at Endermite are going back to the days of Early Beta when combat wasn't the norm and there were no minigames. We're making this server around how Minecraft was meant to be played.

Think back, if you're old enough, to the glory days. Servers were simple places where people could build entire communities out of nothing. Minecraft didn't need minigames - if you wanted to shoot people you'd fire up GTA. That is our vision. We want you to have complete freedom while still having peace of mind. That is why griefing is not allowed and PVP is disabled. That is also why there are only three people on the server with access to Creative and WorldEdit. Our server is distraction-free for everyone.

    Why We're Doing It

This server is for people who are tired of PVP and minigames. This is for people who enjoy the survival and building aspect of Single Player but want to play with friends. This server is for people who enjoy Realms but wish for more people to play with and more functionality.

This server is for people who LOVED the early days - because even though we run the latest version of Minecraft, it will feel like Beta 1.8.1

    The Concept

    Towns

The first central theme for the server is player-run towns. The Capital of the town will be built by staff, but the leadership will be assigned to an ordinary player who we trust to run things. From there, players will be free to expand the town as they please.

    Community

The second central theme of the server is community. While players are free to play by themselves, they will enjoy benefits if they join a town. On occasion, town vaults will be stocked with building materials free for citizens to use. Mayors will be regular players that are respected by the community.

    Freedom

The final central theme of our server is freedom. As the towns will be run by regular players, they can decide the direction of the town. They can have a medieval town, full of castles and stone. Or perhaps a more modern town, full of glass and white clay. Once a town is created by the staff and a Mayor is chosen, it will be up to the players to decide the path they will go down.

    1. Basic Information:

    • Username: Xqvier
    • Timezone: GMT
    • Age: 13
    • Do you have a working microphone?: I do indeed

    2. How much time do you have to contribute? I can contribute a few hours per day,

    3. Have you been banned or punished on other servers? If so, why? I have been banned on Mineplex due to me having a compromised account, the problem has been solved and i'm no longer banned

    4. Tell us about the time you made a mistake? What did you do? How did you improve? I changed my password and added security questions to my minecraft.

    5. Do you have any interests outside of Minecraft? I do indeed, I love anime and I also like to watch youtube, I like to go out into woods and forests to explore and see what I can find.

    6. What kind of experience do you have with moderation? I have been moderator on many servers, such as TheHuntMC, StarWarsMC and many more, which has developed my skill in being able to find rule breakers and speak confidently, with knowing what to do.

    Scenarios:

    1. A well-known and well-liked player has been acting up recently. He's starting to break some minor rules. How do you deal with this? I give him a warning, as whether it is a well-liked player or a disliked player, everyone has to play by the rules, and they would be given the punishment anyone else would get

    2. You see another Moderator break a few rules. You don't have the permissions to punish him. There are no admins online. How do you deal with this? I would go onto skype/TS/Discord and try to find somebody who is available, if then nobody is available, I would record it and send it to someone higher than me.

    3. You and another staff member get into a dispute. The argument starts escalating until you realize your responsibility is to keep the peace. How do you resolve the conflict? I apologize, and try to speak mutually, if again that doesn't happen then we wouldn't speak, and I'd ignore him/her so that a conflict wouldn't happen again and peace would be made.

Thank you, Have a nice day

Sorry, I don't think your application reflects the kind of qualities we want in a mod. Best of luck elsewhere!

    • Timezone: EST
    • Age: 15 turning 16 in 2 months
    • Do you have a working microphone?: Not currently but my new one is being delivered within the next week.

    2. How much time do you have to contribute?:

Due to still being in high school and sports i probably can get on at least 2 hours a day on weekdays and on weekends i can probably get at least 3 hours and at max 4 hours on.

    3. Have you been banned or punished on other servers? If so, why?:

I have never been banned from a server.

    4. Tell us about the time you made a mistake? What did you do? How did you improve?:

Well about 2 years ago my school class was nearing the trip that we were meant to go on and the teacher had said that the school trips we go on is a privilege and that if we do not behave we will loose that privilege. I didn't really think much of this as i thought she couldn't take away my trip privileges if i had already payed for it but i later learned she could. I had a some work that was supposed to be handed in before the trip but i hadn't finished it yet so i thought i could just get away with not handing it in but i was wrong. I got in trouble for not handing it in on time and i also was not allowed to go on the trip. I learned from this that in order to have privileges you need to earn them. I have improved now in respecting that i do not need to have privileges but i do so i need to be grateful for them.

    5. Do you have any interests outside of Minecraft?

Currently i have been playing quite a lot of squash and i have been training for quite a while now and i hope to win some championships that are coming up. I have also been playing soccer recently and am succeeding quite well at that as i have recently been moved onto a rep team which was a really great accomplishment for me. One other thing that interest me would have to be architecture as recently i have been designing lots of modern houses on programs.

    6. What kind of experience do you have with moderation?:

I have quite a lot of experience with being staff on servers and i have been staff on several servers. Most notably one i have been on was thecryptic, net. The server did quite well but was sadly shut down due to it not being popular enough to keep it up. But i think i had a good role on that server and accomplished a lot.

    Scenarios:

    1. A well-known and well-liked player has been acting up recently. He's starting to break some minor rules. How do you deal with this?:

Well even if the player is very well known he still does not have any privileges over other players and should be treated like a normal player. But first i would message him and give him a warning about the rules he is breaking and if he continues to abuse these rules i would give him a temporary ban and if he still continues to not follow the rules i would then ban him after consulting with my superior. This way it is kind of like a three strike rule.

    2. You see another Moderator break a few rules. You don't have the permissions to punish him. There are no admins online. How do you deal with this?:

I would first tell him that he should not be doing that but then if he continues to abuse his commands i would attempt to contact one of my superiors and get him to deal with him.

    3. You and another staff member get into a dispute. The argument starts escalating until you realize your responsibility is to keep the peace. How do you resolve the conflict?:

I would apologize to the staff member and say to him/her we can finish this later by contacting me on Skype etc where then we can both express our opinions in a environment where we won't be causing as much drama.

    Thanks for reading

Do you mind sending me your Skype? We'd like to get to know you better.

    • Age:15, almost 16
    • Do you have a working microphone?: Yes

    2. How much time do you have to contribute?
I have a reasonable amount of time to contribute, maybe an hour a day during weekdays. Plus more on weekends.

    3. Have you been banned or punished on other servers? If so, why?

I have never been banned on any server.

    4. Tell us about the time you made a mistake? What did you do? How did you improve?

One big mistake I made was in year 6. I thought I was the smartest kid around and was very complacent and arrogant because I was getting all the highest marks in the class. However when the big tests came and I had not revised I completely failed. The tests were important tests, they were to decide my next school. What I learnt from it (and I have never made the same mistake again) was to never think results come without hard work. That decision still has consequences today, but i'm working hard to recover from it.

    5. Do you have any interests outside of Minecraft?

Yes, I love to play Basketball and Tennis. I used to play football (soccer) for my school in the A team, but dropped so I could player more Basketball. I also enjoy going for long cycles. I live by a river, and so i often cycle down there whenever i want some fresh air, it's great. Mountain biking is also great fun, and we do it whenever we go to Ireland. I also do leadership courses with my school which are always very fun and have taught me a lot of valuable life lessons.

    6. What kind of experience do you have with moderation?

I used to be a moderator on a server called the mc mouth. It was a fairly large community and I worked myself up after playing on the server for almost a year. I am also currently a helper on a very small server but it has still been a good experience as it gave me more insight into actually helping players and not just keeping them in check.

    Scenarios:

    1. A well-known and well-liked player has been acting up recently. He's starting to break some minor rules. How do you deal with this?

I'd message him, and inform him that he is breaking some minor rules (in case he was unaware) and that he will be treated just as any other player would be treated on the server, and will be punished equally if he continues breaking the rules.

    2. You see another Moderator break a few rules. You don't have the permissions to punish him. There are no admins online. How do you deal with this?

I'd ask the moderator to stop, and remind him we are moderators and that means we have to -at the very least- abide by our own rules. Depending on the severity of what he was doing i'd inform an admin when i next saw one online with (if possible) proof.

    3. You and another staff member get into a dispute. The argument starts escalating until you realize your responsibility is to keep the peace. How do you resolve the conflict?

I'd try to sort it out and apologise for whatever it was I did wrong. If the other staff member continues to try and argue i'd simply tell him/her I'm not going to waste any time arguing, and if the staff member wishes to speak about it to me he/she may contact me on Skype or Teamspeak where the whole server does not have to witness the arguement.

    Excellent. Accepted!

What can you offer NakaMC? I'm an excellent web designer. I'm currently in training to become a full-fledged full stack developer (front-end and back-end, ie both design and web server stuff). My hobby is helping new servers with their websites.

What makes you a reliable person? I have quite a bit of experience with servers and development in general. When given a task I complete it in a timely manner. Even if I don't currently know how to develop something and I am asked to do so, I will take the time to learn.

What makes you a professional person? I'm respectful to all players, I stay out of petty disputes, and I'll be entering the workforce as a programmer this coming October.

What makes you a mature person? I'm considered an adult in every country in the world. I cook, drive, and work.

What is your knowledge of Factions? I've been playing on Factions servers since Beta 1.8 and administrating them since the official release.

Why should you be chosen over another applicant? I'm the only applicant who has the skills I do. I'm currently in the process of creating two companies. The first is a news website that uses social science to balance media bias intake. The second is a proxy service that my friend founded. I'm his head web developer. I will provide the link to my online portfolio upon request. Please take note of the UI/X Work as that is what I'll be doing for you.

Can you code? [java and etc?] Complicated question...

    I am proficient in:

    - HTML

    - CSS

    - SASS

    - JavaScript

I am learning (will soon be proficient in):

    - AngularJS

    - Node.js

    - MongoDB

    - Express

    - Python

    I have moderate knowledge in:
    - Java

    - Ruby & Rails

My best use for you will be building your website. While I know some advanced Java concepts and design patterns, I am not proficient in the Spigot API.

What do you use to code? Again, depends.

    Java: IntelliJ

HTML/CSS/JavaScript: WebStorm or Brackets.io depending on my mood.

    Python: Pycharm

    Ruby/Rails: Rubymine

How long have you been a plugin developer? I am not a proficient plugin developer. I know the basics of the Spigot API but not complete.

If you would like to learn more about my education, please Skype me.
