posted a message on How to Find your Lost House in Superflat
Well, like many people, I idiotically died in superflat while building a large city that I had spent several months on. Furious, I looked helplessly around for around 30 minutes, when all of a sudden an idea hit me: I had an old add-on/mod to Minecraft called Minutor, which lets you go throughout layers and has a full map of every place you have been in that specific world. So, I turned it on, and found my city in a manner of minutes. This is a really useful add-on/mod, and it can help you find your lost buildings immediately.
    Here's the link: http://seancode.com/minutor/ (It's free BTW)

Or, make a bed. Much more efficient.

The very last sentence was interesting, and it would be interesting to see in game. Bats shouldn't be useless mobs, they should drop something.

posted a message on Animal Hide, New Mob, and Animal Head Racks
Well that's odd, the topic posted twice.... Sorry 'bout that.
Anyways, as a noob to this forum (but not a noob to MC), I can't make any more posts for about 12 more hours. I'll answer your questions when I can post again.

posted a message on Animal Hide, New Mob, and Animal Head Racks
Animal Hide, New Mob, and Animal Head Racks:

I looked in the search feature and couldn't find already made suggestions for my suggestions, so I'm pretty sure this isn't a dupe topic. Sorry if I missed it, and these have been suggested before:

    1. Animal Hide for Decoration:
I know that leather has already been made, but I think it would be cool if you could put the leather crafted with dye on the ground as a rug. The other suggestion for Animal Hide would be being able to craft cow hide with dyes, and then able to place them on beds to give different colored sheets.

    2. Bears:
I'm sure this has been suggested before, but I couldn't find any topics which suggested it. So here it is anyway:
The mob would be initially neutral, spawning in only Forest, Taiga, and Hills for both. If in 5 blocks of it, it would become instantly aggressive, and can also become aggressive if shot at from afar. It would have twice the health of aggressive wolves (so 16 hearts) and an attack that destroys 4 hearts. Killing it would drop honey, which could be eaten to restore 3 health. It also would have a possibility of dropping different parts of a bear skin: Body, legs, arms, and head. These could be placed on the floor as decoration.

    3. Animal Head Racks:
Normal mobs with normal sized heads (IE, not Withers, Dragons, Ghasts, or etc) should drop heads, similar to Steve heads, Zombie heads, and Skeleton heads. These could be placed on picture frames as Animal Head Racks, like you see in lodges, cabins, and etc.

posted a message on I'm a Noob to Minecraft Forum, I have questions about this sub-forum
    Quote from Kovu

The tutorials forum has topics for Mapping and Modding, NOT building.
Those two other ones I use though.

    For the OP's second question,
Is your internet restricted? If so, it's possible that the image uploading services the users are using could be blocked by your computer admin.

@1. Thanks, I found some good ones.
@2. Probably the reason. My parents installed some web protection stuff and antivirus software the other month ago on ALL computers in the house, after reading an article on internet safety. I'm pretty darn sure Minecraft Forum doesn't have viruses though.

posted a message on 1000 Things Of What To NOT Do In Minecraft...
    29. If you manage to collect all of the Wither skulls in a short amount of time luckily, and you are a complete noob, do not construct the Wither without better armor and weaponry, and of course, enchant both.
    30. Same with the Enderdragon, make sure you don't try to challenge him just because you collected enough ender eyes, without enchanting your best armor and weapons.

posted a message on New to this Forum, I have a few Questions
I'v been playing Minecraft for several years, but today I just made an account on the Minecraft Forum. So, I have two questions:
    1. Where can I see tutorials of building, and where can I submit them? (They are mainly picture tutorials that I want to submit.)
    And
    2. With most pictures, my computer blocks my view of them, and it comes up with the image error: Small green hill, random white traingle. I assume this is a computer error, but does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? It only occurs on this site, mainly in the screenshot sub-forum. It's really darn frustrating.
    Thanks,
    -KifferTheGreat
