For those who think MC is the Perfect Game- it's not. Darn good, but not perfect. Some of you may not realize what you're missing.

The way I would put it is MC is the perfect concept. It was executed VERY well, but there is still room for improvement, while maintaining the same concept.

Life as I know it is over... Time to play Destiny... NOT!

    Ahh Destiny.

I thought RNG couldn't get worse than the Vanilla D3 was. You know, where you could play for like 50 hours and find ONE legendary (with crap stats).

Destiny steps up and goes "I can beat that..." with it's ability to drop Legendary loot...that when Identified...ISN'T EVEN LEGENDARY! Yeah........they failed hard with that game. Shame, it has such promise.

How about hire more for the development and KEEP the current staff? I mean their cash flow is gonna be the same still but if more at on the project then imagine how fast things will come out.. And with that being said Microsoft would make alot more money and faster with more people on the project

This is probably what is going to happen.
They will keep the current staff and add more members to take some of the pressure off of them. This may make for quicker updates, and having them be more stable. It may also mean they will be able to actually get out the mod API and optimize the game to make things like Optifine not necessary.

you are assuming they (Mojang) retain full creative control. you are also assuming Microsoft will not replace/change the dev team at Mojang (which they need to do).

Odds are they won't. They know Minecraft is a cash cow as it is, and if they mess it up they may lose the fanbase.
Their best bet is to stay the course, and throw resources at Mojang, but not take people away. I would't be surprised if they add members to the team, but not replace them.

I expect to see of either the following of what Microsoft could do:

    Require .NET to be installed.
Require C++ programs to be installed.
Charge for Skins, Resource Packs, Mods etc
Charge to have ads removed (if there will be any)
    Re-code everything into C++
Add a bunch of un-necessary additions to Minecraft (Connect it to your Windows! Weeeee!)
Integrate it as a Windows App
Put it up in the Windows Store for more money
Patent the idea of Minecraft like as if it was their idea all along because Microsoft isn't capable of making good games unless it had acquired other studios to make games for them.
Alienate the Community by throwing everything Microsoft at them which would make Minecraft irrelevant.
Put on Ads. Notably of things Microsoft has also acquired over the years. (You could make Skype calls while you play Minecraft!)
Bing is somehow integrated into Minecraft and if you search for something like "Redstone", Bing will tell you it doesn't know what you mean. (Because Bing is stupid.)

You know, this is why I like Steam. Because Valve are not assholes. If Valve had approached Mojang and bought Minecraft instead, I'd all be content. This acquisition of Microsoft buying Mojang is a good example. You can be stubborn about being bought out, until someone throws not millions but billions your way.

Also, I'm tired of the people on here like "we can have better graphics!" "we can have a Minecraft 2!". Idiots, that's NOT what Minecraft is about. It wasn't meant to be all about graphics, stupid graphic whores. Also what purpose would a Minecraft 2 have? Oh "Steve has a love story and must rescue his lover from the chambers where the Enderdragon is." or something brainless story concocted to make a sequel excusable.

If Valve bought MC I'd be praising Lord GabeN and asking for Steam Workshop support ASAP.

Saddly we do not live in that universe....other-Universe Me does though, and he is rubbing it in this-Universe Me's face :(

As far as "MineCraft 2" is concerned....to me MineCraft 2 would simply be moving MC out of Java and into a platform far more stable, while keeping the gameplay/graphics intact and having a built-in Mod API. Although it should SUPPORT the option for HD textures/shaders and whatnot (like SEUS, but integrated) by default as well.

Basically MC2 should just be an improved version of MC1 and nothing more....I think they should call it the MineCraft 2.0 update.....see what I did there....?

Notch and the other Mojang founders are leaving the company and moving on. Would this include Jeb? Because he's been the one doing everything for MC since Notch handed over the reigns in 2011.....

So far they are promising to maintain support for all versions of the game on all platforms....so there is still a glimmer of hope. Also a lot of the other Mojang devs will still be on the game most likely, so not much may actually change.

Time will tell, I will withhold judgement on the game itself until after something happens. I will, however, pass judgement on Marcus: he sold out. The community got angry at him for the first time when he changed the EULA, and for the first time they were against him. He couldn't handle it, so he Phil Fished...only his IP was worth a ton more than Fez.

Actually, this would be great to play on the Wii U , maybe the gamepad could show your inventory and stuff. But, I really doubt it's going to happen. Hype over nothing, really.

Which is a shame, really. I think it'd be better on WiiU than Xbox or Playstation.

The Gamepad just seems like the perfect controller for a console MineCraft.

Minecraft is constantly updating. Nintendo uses disc- and hard-drive-based games, so whatever game they release; it will have to be in complete form.

The WiiU Supports any USB External harddrive up to 3TB in size.

    Space is not an issue.

As for the 3DS. The system can easily handle MC. 3DS is actually quite powerful. As for space: the carts hold a surprising amount of data. Patches are entirely possible.

and also it wont work on the 3ds... it only has 1 circle pad

3DS Circle Pad Pro (There is also an XL version for the 3DSXL size). I use it all the time to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on my 3DS. Adds two extra shoulder buttons...and an extra circle pad. Not to mention it's pretty efficient. It uses 1 AAA battery and I've been using mine pretty much constantly for a year now without having to replace it.

...In what way/shape/form does colored glass not fit, in a game about being creative it seems like it fits right in as it gives us more options to work with.

And I've had 0 issues running 1.7.2, it's actually running fairly smoothly for me.
