Seriously, how can people NOT think Bows would take two hands...you need one to hold it and one to draw.

That looks really helpful! You could equip both a sword and torches in a cave, or equip both a bow and a sword in combat.

Makes me really happy since I use shaders that make my held torches emit light. Now I can have light AND a weapon at the same time!

As well as a few other places, it has been said its going to 1.10, not 2.0

    It was a joke.

But when the game went live they skipped the last incremental (It stopped at Beta 1.8) and just made it Live "1.0" because of how versions work. Also was a jab at people who complained that the last time they hit a x.10 they should have gone to the next X.0....because they thought version numbers worked like decimals (hint: They don't. It's "Version.ReleaseNumber")

At this rate, "Christmas 2016 MineCraft 1.9 comes out!" See you in 2020 for 1.10..

Unless they skip 1.10 and go right to 2.0 like they did last time.

For those who think MC is the Perfect Game- it's not. Darn good, but not perfect. Some of you may not realize what you're missing.

The way I would put it is MC is the perfect concept. It was executed VERY well, but there is still room for improvement, while maintaining the same concept.

Life as I know it is over... Time to play Destiny... NOT!

    Ahh Destiny.

I thought RNG couldn't get worse than the Vanilla D3 was. You know, where you could play for like 50 hours and find ONE legendary (with crap stats).

Destiny steps up and goes "I can beat that..." with it's ability to drop Legendary loot...that when Identified...ISN'T EVEN LEGENDARY! Yeah........they failed hard with that game. Shame, it has such promise.

Then I am too lazy to consider your opinion valid.

Please expand on why you say "no" other than saying "no" otherwise your post is rather pointless.

How can you not understand that Pixelmon is effectively Pokemon. If Microsoft added it to Minecraft they would effectively be selling something that is copyrighted to another company and get sued.

Unless they change them to not be copyrighted characters. Hell, even WoW ripped off Pokemon with their pet battle system but since they are their own characters there's no infringement.

How about hire more for the development and KEEP the current staff? I mean their cash flow is gonna be the same still but if more at on the project then imagine how fast things will come out.. And with that being said Microsoft would make alot more money and faster with more people on the project

This is probably what is going to happen.
They will keep the current staff and add more members to take some of the pressure off of them. This may make for quicker updates, and having them be more stable. It may also mean they will be able to actually get out the mod API and optimize the game to make things like Optifine not necessary.

you are assuming they (Mojang) retain full creative control. you are also assuming Microsoft will not replace/change the dev team at Mojang (which they need to do).

Odds are they won't. They know Minecraft is a cash cow as it is, and if they mess it up they may lose the fanbase.
Their best bet is to stay the course, and throw resources at Mojang, but not take people away. I would't be surprised if they add members to the team, but not replace them.

    Simple answer: no.

    Mods aren't allowed on consoles.

More complex answer: Theoretically, but it could be through officially released DLC from 4J as game options (therefore not really a mod).

Odds of this happening are slim-to-none, though.

The deal is not even finalized yet MS has just signed on the dotted line. You cant expect a deal of 2.5 billion to go over that fast. Microsoft can't really do anything with Mojang until the deal is finalized. Even if the deal is finalized they are not going to make changes that quickly. Because at most they have owned Mojang for a few days. No matter what company you are talking about you cant expect major changes in a few days.

Also have you seen Microsoft's track record when it comes to gaming. They have a worse track record then EA when it comes to involvement in gaming. This is especially true when you look at PC gaming. I would even say Ubisoft has had better involvement with PC gaming then Microsoft.

...The deal is completely finalized. It didn't go over "fast" we just weren't informed about it until only a few days before it was finalized. It was apparently in the works for some time now.

Mojang IS Microsoft's now to do with as they pleased. They could make any change they wanted to MineCraft right now if they wished. But they won't. They need it to continue as it is so they can make their money back.

From the obvious looks of the player model, Alex is a girl.

Hair style, lips, pants, shirt are all feminine.

    Or an effeminate male.

    Hello.

Since Microsoft bought Mojang, does that mean the EULA gets a reset for MCCapes to be revived?

No, the EULA remains. Microsoft owns Mojang, Mojang wrote the EULA. Therefore the EULA is now Microsofts. It changed owners, but it doesn't invalidate it. Mojang still exists, it's just now under the Microsoft umbrella.
