Why do you wish to join?: I dabbled roleplaying a few years ago, but school got in the way; I took a long break and now I feel like having another go at it. I think I'm in the mood to start up again. The landscape and lore of the server are beautifully created and I would consider myself lucky to be able to experience it firsthand.
What can you bring to the server?: Good gameplay and builds, as well as a good amount of activity by the end of the month. To be quite honest, I've never really roleplayed via Minecraft before but I'm a quick learner.

Appearance: Standing at a whopping 5 feet tall, Kassi is small and unassuming. Being born the daughter of a farmer, her skin is tanned and browned from all the time spent out in the field. Her hair is long and black. Though it is a hassle to care for, Kass' hair is her one crowning glory and makes her feel like the spitting image of her mother.
Personality: Kass is at the best of times, generous and gentle. At the worst of times, however, the woman is cold, vindictive, and guarded. To a typical stranger, she will appear quiet and shy, perhaps even angry if you start off on the wrong foot. Her true nature is shown within the plants she coaxes out of the hard earth and cutivates to perfection and with her family. She does not easily trust anyone and is very possessive of what she has and who she cares for; still, Kass is not an idiot. If her surroundings are hostile, she will not hesitate to gain the protection of the most powerful contender; whether she remains loyal to that contender, however, is a different story.
Background Story: Born and raised by a simple farming couple in the countryside, Kass had a very plain, dull childhood. She and her brother would play in the fields and work alongside her parents on a remote farm. Her only close friend was her brother, only four years her senior, and they were as close as two human beings could be. She didn't mind, though; she was happy and loved. When her parents passed on due to old age, she and her brother stayed on the farm, running it on their own. While her brother was gifted with handling animals (Kass couldn't stand the creatures), Kass tended to the crops. She found solace in the browns and greens of plants. She lived a happy, albeit sheltered life. Because of the remoteness of their, Kass and her brother grew up never really knowing how terrible and manipulative people could be. When a strange man with expensive clothes and more money than they had ever seen visited their tiny farm and made them an offer that was almost too good to be true, what else could they have done but eagerly agreed?
2 years passed and 22 year old Kass and her brother were out on the streets, having been cheated out of their land and money. Kass grew distrustful and cold, though her brother always managed to bring her back to life. The two took to wandering the countryside, taking farmhand jobs to put food in their stomachs. They were not in the best situation when the portal catastrophe came around.
They had ventured into the nearest city only a few months prior to the end. Work as a farmhand was growing slack, so they had no choice but to leave the beautiful greenness of their home. They were both at work when they heard the news; the planet was to die and a portal had been opened to a safe new world where magic was abundant; Kass had never been someone to care for magic but she made up her mind the second she heard 'safe'. She would do anything she could to get her and her brother through that portal.
In the frenzied rush that followed, the two were separated. The growing mayhem in the streets and in front of the portal tore the two apart, sending her brother hurtling through the portal and Kass in the other direction. She dove after him, reaching out the grab his arm, only to land face first into the dirt. She had reached her destination, but quickly found out her brother had not. Now, Kass bides her time, refusing to believe her brother is dead and hoping that one day he will fall through the portal and they can finally reunite to face the challenges ahead in this strange and dangerous world that was so unlike the one she had been hoping for.
