I'm amazed nobody has created such a mod yet.

It's a simple terrain pre-gen mod. It adds a command that will allow you to generate a rectangle of chunks:

    /pregenerate <type> <x1> <z1> <x2> <z2> <delay>

<type> Enter "c" if you want the coordinates treated as chunk coordinates. If you put anything else (but you must put something) they will be treated as block coordinates.

<x1> Chunk/block coordinates on opposite angles if the rectagnle you wish to generate.

<delay> This is how much time you give your PC to process each chunk in miliseconds. I wouldn't advise going much under 300. If you don't give it enough time, unexpected results may occur.

You can also generate terrain in other dimensions, you just have to be in them when running the command.

They didn't complain, they noticed my connection was snapping every 10 min because of it and they called me to warn me (I had some connectivity issues last week so I guess the kept an eye out). I actually really love those guys, best ISP in the whole wide world!

I'm playing survival singleplayer (SSP), so there should be absolutley not reason for my client to communicate over the Internet. I did have snooper on (I turned it off now), but I don't think that should generate that much traffic. I can't turn off my network adapter since I'm not the sole Internet user on the network.

I've been playing last few days without problem, it started happening yesterday. Only two things that have changed is that I added three NEI addons (I doubt that's the reason) and that I installed Java 8u25(x64).

I might call try running the client on Java 7(x64) and then see with my ISP if the problem persists.

However, I'd still like to know how to block the client from accessing the Internet, I'm curious now.

I have custom modpack installed and after I left it running whole night (SSP), I got a call from my ISP provider that I have generated over 3GB of upload traffic.

Is there a way to somehow block Minecraft from accessing the Internet? I'm not sure what the procedure is with Java applications.

If I could still login to have my skin, that would be even better.

    Thanks!

How do I do it with MCEdit (or NTBExplorer) (I'm in 1.6.4)?

I can't seem to find it. Also, note that I'm not moving (just) spawn point, I'm trying to move spawn chunks (just so there is no mistake). And I've read that moving spawn POINT would not change the spawn CHUNKS.

So I'm running a Crackpack server with a friend, and we are poor. Or cheap. Anyway, running modpaks can be very resource intensive for a server (or any PC for that matter), so I was looking for a way to reduce RAM usage specifically (since that is the variable that all the host charge by).

The base my friend and I made is not anywhere close to the spawn (and thus spawn chunks), so spawn chunks are uselessly loaded in our precious little memory all the time. Also, since we are gathering resources using automated system, we use world anchors to keep our base loaded at all times. Which means that if I go exploring a bit to fast server is without a doubt going to crash.

So, if I could change the spawn chunks to cover the area where our base is built, i'll kill two flies with one stone. I don't have to have up to 169 (13x13 is max, right?) chunks loaded into memory without a reason (which is quite a lot, a two players worth on normal view distance, if I'm not mistaking) and there will be no need for world anchors.

I don't care about the original spawn point, if it's within the base, that's just added bonus.

    EDI: I'm using 1.6.4

posted a message on Ping - event relation
So I've been trying to find a good server to host Cracpack on. One of the biggest factors is the server location, or it's ping.

Now, I know that anything below 100ms is great, but I'd like to have more details. I'd like to know what is the maximum ping that would prevent major server difficulties (eg. blocklag, rubberbanding, etc).

So something like: "If it's lower than 150ms, you shouldn't rubberband and anything below 110ms prevents blocklag, everything above 200ms will cause..."

I have a problem regarding armored resonant jetpack (further on refered to as "jetpack"). It seems to randomly dissapear when equipped. I have noticed that the damage value bar dropped considerately on one occasion, but I'm not sure what caused it. I did take some pounding by silverfish, but I tried spawning them in and let them have a go at me, but the damage bar didn't change. When the damage bar dropped, it set itself back to represent charge when I used the jetpack. I also when AFK for a about a hour wearing the jetpack, but when I got back it was gone and I was unharmed. I should also note that I enchanted the jetpack with Thorns III and Protection IV. I'm using the Crackpack modpack, Minecraft 1.6.4. (version 0.3.0.0).

I will try to mess around a bit with it, using the unarmored version or armored one which is not enchanted and report back with the results.

EDIT: I read a bit of thread and saw the destruction bug when on low power, but my jetpack was almost fully charged...

It was the enchantments. It doesn't dissapear as long as you don't enchant it (with Thorns III and Protection IV at the same time, anyway)...

    Hi!

I did search this topic, but I couldn't find the average heights for the biomes. I actually don't need all of them, I just want to know which biome has the lowest average height, so I can use it in my Mystcraft mining age.

Does anybody know which one is the lowest?

    I Should have known better.

But I'm conserned for the weather and any other traits or modifiers I left out...

    Hi guys!

So, I'm trying to create a stable minign age, but no luck. I don't fully understand how to write ages still.

I'd like to have a single plains biome age. It would be always noon and it would never rain. The terrain would also be flat.

What I tried doing is followng:

    Plains biome
Single biome -> this seems to work alright

Flat -> this works, but I don't know if this is a proper way. I tried puttin standart terain afterwars, but then it created standard terrain, so I gues this is not modifier, but a trait.

    Noon
    Zero lenght
Normal sun -> this also works

    Normal moon

Normal stars -> i put these two to define them, so the age would be more stable (I think that's how it works, anyway)

    Overcast
    No weather
Normal weather -> i have no idea wha't I'm doing, but this doesn't work

And that's it. Are there any more things I should define in order to keep my age stable?

Also, write the answer in a spoiler, I'm sure there are users here who wan't to figure it out for themselves. :)

    Thank you.
