Dec 6, 2011Kamil posted a message on Pocket Edition On Sale; New Account System ComingThe 10 cent deal is a GOOGLE sale, celebrating 10 billion Downloads by offering 10 games for 10 cents each. That's why they are only on sale for Android, the Google OS.Posted in: News
Anyways, took this opportunity to get it; I was just waiting for the price to drop before buying and I doubt it will ever be lower. Probably won't play all that much until more is released for it, but now I get future updates and only 10 cents.
I hope that Minecraft Pocket works with the Unified Mojang Account Database, or whatever it ends up being called (Though I do like the acronym UMAD) -

Will probably get at least one of the versions around Christmas, probably the Android one since it has a bigger screen. -
Oct 26, 2011Kamil posted a message on Minecraft Coming Soon For iOSI'm happy since I have an iPod Touch but not an Android phone, but I really hope they don't make it iOS 5 only. I could upgrade, but for some reason they insist that doing so requires that you delete everything, and I don't want to lose saved data for games I already have...Posted in: News

It's only parkour when used to escape pursuit, once it's done for show it becomes free running. -

Aug 7, 2011Kamil posted a message on Bethesda, Mojang & "Scrolls"This is almost as much an overreaction on Bethesda's part as, say, boycotting Skyrim because of this.Posted in: News
Anyways, yeah I call BS on the lawsuit over a single-word working title which not a single person has ever ACTUALLY confused with the series, but if I were Notch I'd rather change the title than try to get in a legal battle with big multi-national corporations.
Unless of course it's already written at hundreds or thousands of places within the source code, it's not like Bethesda has a leg to stand on anyways. -

Alternatively, here's a simple pulse limiter I use regularly. Input on the left, output on the right.

To go into more detail on this, if a repeater has a higher delay than the length of the redstone signal sent to it, the signal will be both delayed and lengthened. Under any other circumstance repeaters will only delay and renew the signal.

But it's been a while since anybody's been able to produce one.

If you still don't understand, look up instant wire on youtube. There's already some very good videos on the subject there to save us the trouble of trying to explain it here.

But really, good work. I think somebody's made a 6 tick computer before, dunno about 5.

They could add an Iron Boat or something, which is slower and/or requires coal power but is very difficult to accidentally break. Having iron and possibly fuel would make it a more expensive alternative in exchange for the durability.
Kind of getting away from redstone now though, the closest this gets is "mechanisms" that are very little redstone if at all or the fact that dispensers can place boats.

As shown in the video, most likely not very clearly, while under normal circumstances redstone torches do not react at all to a 1 tick "off" pulse, sometimes they react just as expected and turn it into a 1 tick "on" pulse. I don't know what causes it, but when the falling edge detector (or whatever you call it) with two 1 tick repeaters is aligned such that the long measurement is on the 1 / 3 facing axis, it works while other designs for falling detectors with identical design rotated 90 degrees are ineffective, and rising detectors with equivalent delays are ineffective in both orientations.
