    The map isnt quite done yet, but a Beta release will be coming within a week or 2 at most. We're almost to a stopping point and just have to tweak and fiddle with some things before we can call it ready.

    Legend has it that long ago in these lands of Taraselo, the Ancient Ones fought against the army of Garahan in the Great War. If it were not for the Ancient Ones’ final stand against the immense evil, human civilization would have crumbled into dust. During this last stand, the Ancient One’s used a weapon that they had recently invented. Not knowing its full abilities or potential, they risked everything and succeeded, wiping out the entire enemy forces in mere seconds.

    After the threat was gone and the world was at peace again, the Ancient Ones decided that the weapon was too powerful to be let out in the open, less it fall into the wrong hands. They built four temples in the surrounding areas, desert, jungle, ice, and caverns to hide one Key each.

    Only those worthy and daring enough to complete all four temples and obtain all four Keys would be able to harness the god-like force of the weapon.

    You (and possibly your friends if playing multiplayer) live out in the jungle in a humble abode, a little ways away from any other civilization. The lifestyle has always suited you and you enjoy the tranquility of the quiet nights away from any markets and docks. Recently though, more and more hostile creatures have been lurking about at night, making hunting a bit more dangerous than it used to be. Maybe it's time to visit the nearest town, Arana, to see what might be going on.




    Told you it was peaceful out here, did you not believe me? An old abandoned river outpost sits alone in the darkness.




    Arana, the new one mind you. The townsfolk don't really enjoy talking about the town's past. Maybe you can get some sort of information here about the increase in hostiles...

    Wonder what's down there..?




    The ruins of an old temple deep in the jungle depths.. who knows what lies in there...

    This is a collaborative piece between me and my good friend Kirby232. It is just about 50% finished, cleaning up areas, detail work, tweaking and such. Once we hit a spot where we feel comfortable is done, we will release a Beta Test for people to try out and help give pointers for things needing improvement. Any and all advice is much appreciated. For now, enjoy the sneak peek snapshots of the map, and stay tuned for more later on!

    I don't know if it's just mine and my friend's computer freaking out with the texture pack or what, but we cannot see the icons or blocks for the emerald ore (it's replaced by some weird and very Un-emerald-like block) or dropped emerald item, the enderchest is stuck on default texture, the tripwire string is invisible, and can only see the base for the tripwire hook. This was with using the customizer.

    Other than those, the new items look wonderful! I especially enjoy the new terrain and plant textures, makes playing it even more beautiful than it already was.

    Hi, this would be my application to join the builders of this server.

    -I have never been banned from any servers.
    -Reading the /motd and /rules, I can suffice that they explain to be kind and considerate to others, and do not steal or grief anything or attack others (else become banned). No pixel art and keep to the theme of the world.
    -For your stance of the terrain, use the lay of the land and try not to massively distort it into "unsightly" things (TL;DR keep it pretty).

    Visiting the server as a guest right now, and just seeing everything from the spawn tower is awesome! You seem to have a wonderful server.

    I don't know why, but the patcher isn't fixing the water and lava to be changed into the Jolicraft textures. It's a shame, because I love them so D:

    Nevermind! I tweaked the stuff in the patcher and it fixed the textures. Continue the great work in the pack, my favorite by far <3

    Edit: I just tried the seed, myself, on creative. Using Eyes of Ender, I found the nearest stronghold was much further away and further underground. It was larger but the libraries were being torched by the lava springs. Playing this seed legitimately, you wouldn't find much left over except for a complete endportal chamber. (One of the library chests had a compass. First time finding something that wasn't a book or paper.)

    I do have to wonder what is underneath the area though, as I was in a halfway underground pond and had one of the cavern noises go off, so something is under spawn, but idk what yet. Adventure time!

    Just tried this seed, and while I got the same type of biomes, it isn't the same exact land layout, so I'm wondering if that stronghold is still down there :C
    And my spawn point was right next to the mushroom biome compared to being a bit more into the pine biome.

    This will be great for inspiration on what to build next, as I have seriously hit a Builder's Block with my city/town, October Vale. It has taken a lot of work, even with OP powers in building it. There are even a few challenge courses in it, two are finished and there is a third in progress. The sewer system I have underneath follows almost all roads except for the outskirts of OV and the areas that haven't been built in yet.

    As for tips, when building October Vale, I put in the roads first, marking the general paths of them with torches. Since OV goes by the "haphazard" term in a sense, this worked perfectly as not all roads are the same size (ranging from 2 wide to 4). It gives the roads a more natural feel and gives you some pretty interesting land to work with as for buildings.

    Another tip: The terrain plays a HUGE part in how interesting the city/town is. October Vale is set in the valley/hillside and stretches to the waterfront. This gives the town a difference in height and can create some pretty neat views from certain parts (the church residing on the top of a hill looking out over the town).

    huh, idk then. Just remade my customized pack and looked, the mossy cobble is now mossy again. Maybe it was just a fluke ^^;
