running as in pressing w, not sprinting. And I meant cheating as in Xray mod or mods that give you a large advantage in multiplayer, not all mods are "cheats".

I remember I downloaded a mod in 1.7.3 and I want it in 1.8.1 but I can't remember the title to find it anywhere. I remember it worked in multiplayer and it added a bunch of useful functions like one button to quickly switch between 2 spaces on the hot bar, a button to toggle sneak, toggle jump, and toggle run. It also had a button to toggle constantly mining. The creator also didn't want to turn it into a mod for cheating or griefing. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Been using this since it first was released, your really great at updating it frequently and adding features, one of the better mods out there.

I didn't mean the properties file needed to be in the jar, rather the properties file needs to be in the same directory as your server.jar file.

I placed the server properties file in the .jar but that isn't changing anything, could someone help me please?

No, I didn't even download the .jar.

My Minecraft server doesn't read my properties file. It's a notepad file, is there a certain type or location the file needs to be in? The first time I load up the exe it just says "error unable to load server.properties" but when I close it ou and open it again it infinitely says sourcecode:(with a number) and [info] generating new properties file

How do I fix this?

But I've seen other admins and OP's in other servers change game modes just for themselves and nobody else. Is that with bukkit?

And also how do I turn it into a bukkit server?

I just made a small server for me and a few friends but I don't no what to do after that Here are some questions I need answered....

How can I make myself a owner or admin? (I'm already a OP)

How can I switch between creative and survival?

How can enter my external IP instead of typing in 'localhost'

And what are some good add-ons to put on the server? (I'd like for the server to stay pretty vanilla though)
