posted a message on 1.5.1 enchanting guide
Is there a guide for enchanting, for 1.5.1, that tells what enchants can happen at certain lvls and whatnot? Every enchanting guide I have found still thinks the max lvl is 50.

posted a message on 1.5.1 no diamonds?
I have been branch mining for 2 hours, 1 block above the lava level, and have not found 1 diamond. I just started playing again. Did they make diamonds extremely rare, or did they change what level they spawn on?

posted a message on Will we have to start a new world in 1.10?
I know what he means, every time there is an update, its hard not to create a new world, simply because all the new stuff that is added usually will only spawn in new chunks, so if you wanted to keep using the same world, in order to actually experience updates, you would have to keep going farther and farther away from your original spawn point, and your world would be a cluster****. I cant wait till the final release happens so I can finally commit to my world.

posted a message on About the performance issues
A lot of people have been experiencing severe fps drops ever since 1.8, and most of us had perfectly fine fps in 1.7. It begs the question, what exactly caused such a night and day difference in performance? I have noticed it is mostly during building chunks that this happens, but even in worlds that are completely built and mapped out, I still have way less fps than I had in 1.7. The thing that worries me about this is that we now have the pre release of 1.9 and these issues still haven't been fixed. Now I know a lot of you will reply saying "buy a new computer" and that is fine, but some of us arnt rich and don't have the luxury of being able to upgrade our electronics whenever we want. The fact is that the game ran fine for us in 1.7 and runs like crap ever since 1.8. There is obviously an anomaly somewhere in the code, or something... and neither notch nor jeb seem to acknowledge it, or care. They obviously test the game with top of the line computers, I mean why wouldn't they have top of the line computers, they are rich. Most games that do beta tests purposely choose a wide range of computer specs to test the game so that they can optimize the game accordingly, but those games usually have monthly fees, and they actually care if the poor people with lesser computers quit the game. I am starting to feel like Mojang don't really care about loyal customers with lesser computers, because "who cares they already bought the game" I understand that its a beta but they have never acknowledged the problem, and they went from 1.8 to 1.9 without addressing it, and that is a problem.

posted a message on A reason to go to the nether
What if torches had no effect on the growth of plants? I think glowstone should be the only way to make crops and trees grow during the night. We need a reason to go to the nether right? I know a lot of hate will come from this, but that is just from lazy people. I know a lot of people will agree, the biggest problem with the nether is that there is no reason to ever go there.

posted a message on That's not a moon?
I don't know if this is new or what it means, but on the title screen, one of the little yellow flavor messages next to the word mine craft was "That's not a moon!" Anyone know what that means? Maybe a hint that it's actually another planet, or the "sky world" that we have heard about? Or maybe its referring to something else and im just an idiot.

posted a message on Critical hits pointless with a diamond sword
Mobs take 2 hits with a diamond sword, even if you get a critical, which is kind of lame considering that most people make a diamond sword asap since it lasts so long. It basically renders one of the new features of 1.8 obsolete since you 2 shot mobs with regular hits. I actually enjoyed doing the jump attacks, it felt satisfying, and I was hoping to be able to one shot mobs with a crit. Oh well I guess they felt it would be op to be able to 1 shot mobs.

Weird, maybe the crash only happens in certain biomes, or at certain elevations.

posted a message on anyone else able to smelt just fine?
Everyone keeps talking about the smelting/cooking bug, but I haven't crashed once while smelting, or at all for that matter since I started playing 1.8. I do however have the epic lag that other people talk about =(. It seems the smelting bug must be system specific.

posted a message on Cave Gen is... bigger?
I think this might be true, I have created a couple new worlds since the update, and the only 2 caves I explored, had big open areas with multiple vertical drop off passage ways.

posted a message on whats the point of colored cloth?
Don't get me wrong, I think it is cool that we can color cloth, but it seems like it would be much better to be able to color wood, or cobblestone, considering that is what most people build with. Sure we could build houses out of cloth but it would be a total pain to farm enough cloth for a decent sized house.

posted a message on Ghasts are turning my hell into a cluster****
my initial spawn into hell seems to be a ghast hive, so whenever I spawn in like 8 fireballs come at me, closing the portal and destroying the land around it, so every time I port into hell it keeps having to make a new portal because the land keeps getting torn asunder =( the whole area is a flaming jagged cluster of portals and rocks, making it pretty much un usable as a port in area... should I just start a new game? I dont want to have to travel 100's of meters away from my house just to find a suitable hell portal location =/ I have tried to kill the ghasts but they keep spawning, and its really hard to hit snipers with a bow, all the while avoiding the sea of fire, and ghast made pits of death, and they are just too far away half the time. Anyone got any tips on killing lots of ghasts? I would love to somehow exterminate them and be able to clean up the area.
