If you mean an economy as in a plugin for it, the server is entirely vanilla. Normally just regular trading with whatever crap you want to give someone for his/her crap.
In case anyone thinks we're ignoring the applications, both the newer and older applications will be notified at the same time, so don't think this was just posted "for the lolz" as time goes on and new applications come in we gotta keep talking on our "deciding skype group" about who should be accepted, so get out of that corner and stop crying.
On a quick note, although skype is not necessary it's really usefull, since most of the talking goes in there (doesn't need to be actual talking, mostly just chatting). So if you want to know what is going on with the server in case something weird happens you'll most likely need it. Also, for any griefers out there willing to join and destroy some stuff for a bit, don't worry, this server has been ran for more than a year now with only one case of griefing, and it got quickly undone no problems. So no this is not an easy target you can stop typing that fake application, we may not have plugins but we know how to handle ourselves somewhat decently.

To those wondering, we already accepted applications, anyone before tim's post was taken in count, any other who posts after that will still be able to join the server, it will just take a little longer since we kinda have to do a 2nd sorting of people
alright we took in consideration the posts out there and we are whitelisting everyone who got in now, if you got whitelisted you should be getting a pm with the ip within a couple minutes, sorry to those who didnt make it in, if you didnt make it in and still want to join you can just post another application but being a little more specific not just saying the generik, age, ign and a quick sentence

Community of the Emeralds is a small completely vanilla survival server which means we don’t run any plugins. I feel like plugins take away from the experience you are supposed to get from a server. You can /home if you get lost or are about to die on most servers which I just find to be too easy.
Things you might want to know: *The server is running a snapshot 12w38b. * There are 9 slots on the server itself *The difficulty is on hard, although for some reason the server switches to normal randomly from time to time. *The admins have agreed to play in survival. I can’t stand when admins play in creative on a “survival” server. *If you are a griefer trying for an easy opportunity dont even bother applying because we make backups daily. *some glitches are allowed, like for example sand generators, but others are not, like iron farms and such, if you are not too sure about if a exploit would be considered bad or not just ask Me or Juaneiro *You don't need be particularly social on this server but you really shouldn't just ignore everyone. If you want to do that, then you may as well play on singleplayer. *If you plan to be inactive for more than a week, please let me or Juaneiro know. We will do occasional whitelist sweeps to remove inactive members to make room. * Pranks are allowed, but you can’t simply mindlessly fill someone's house with obsidian, try to be half creative with them, and to be careful on breaking the other person's stuff in the process, because yes, you can use lava fire and tnt, but you have to be very careful when handling those
Rules:
1) Treat others as you want to be treated, with respect. 2) No griefing or stealing. 3) Only PVP if all players involved consent. 4) Swearing is tolerable to a certain point. 5) Go all out survival. No mods/cheats/glitches that would ruin the survival nature of the game. 6) Don’t build/break anything within the sight of spawn. The only exception is building a town, and that’s only if most members consent. 7) Keep the land looking decent. Repair Creeper craters and don’t leave floating trees. If a creeper explodes when you’re near someone’s house or accidentally break one of their blocks, you should repair it. 8) No racist or sexist remarks will be tolerated. It doesn’t matter if you meant it as a joke.
Basically, just be mature.
If you want to be a member of this server, then you’ll need to convince me that I can trust you on the server. I’m not giving you a typical whitelist application that you could simply BS like it’s nothing. It’s up to you to find a way to convince me. The effort you put into your application should reflect how interested you are in the server. If I select you to be whitelisted, then I’ll whitelist you and PM you the IP. If you aren’t chosen, then don’t be offended. I will try to PM you within 2 days

we usually dont insta-whitelist, we wait a a few days for a couple of options to turn out, and then we analize them and choose the ones we consider best
terrible news :/ apparently theres a dumb thing in the host page where the whitelist has a limit, unfortunatly the number of people accepted changed from 12 to 7, really sorry to those who wanted to join and couldnt, altough if some of the members we do accept dont show up in a while, they will be removed and their spot will be given to someone else
to anyone wondering the server might be up and running at 3:40 EDT wich would be around 20 mins from now, tim didnt tell me too much but i assume it will take still a bit since he has to do the changes in the whitelist, load the new map, and who knows what else, anyways gratz to those who made it in, hope you enjoy the server, and sorry to those that didnt get chosen, but as tim said theres a chance of you getting added later as time goes by
